I know it looks like that. If you check the video at 2:55 it shows the arrows pointing down. When the new filter is in place the arrows are in fact pointing toward the back of the vehicle which is correct. I agree, it looks weird on the video, I had to double check it to make sure.

Great, I am glad if it’s done right and awfully sorry if you had to recheck.... just went through the same, awful saga myself yesterday to spy-marked my old filter ahead of having main maintenance done at the dealer as I suspect it hadn’t ben changed last Time... Will to through the procedure again post maintenance to verify ALL filtres havé béen changed properly this time.... It’s unsane an engineer couldn’t find a better way to access this filter...

yeah- that white connector is in the way. you didn't indicate how you got that off the white metal plate? did you just pry it off with a screwdriver?

It’s been so long I had to watch the vid again, lol! Yeah I just pried it off there. It didn’t break but I didn’t care if it did at that point. I would’ve just zip tied it to something. Good luck. 👍🏼

@@skalnican worked. just pried it off and shoved it back in. but thanks. I didn't want to force anything. they're just high friction plastic plugs. replacement went pretty easily. helps to have a headlamp :)
