  • This is a supplement to powerfulukltd's excellent video on how to change the cabin air filter on an Evoque. I just show an additional metal bracket that can be removed to make the process a LOT easier.

    Wish I saw this tip before I spend an hour trying to put the new filter in 😂 I’ll know for next time. Thank you 🙏

    It's impossible to avoid buggering up the cabin air filter without using this tip. Thank you.

    literally took 6 min to change the filter (Mann CUK 2733).. so so easy... the dealer (aka stealer) was charging $250 to replace it. my total cost $20 and 6 min.
    Thanks for the tip to prevent the screw from falling behind the carpet.. (lost the socket instead)... best : )

      Hah :) No problem. Glad I could help. Ridiculous how much the dealer charges for basic work.

    Super helpful, thanks! Especially the tip on the cloth. Man, I have lost many screws in similar situations.

    Excellent tips and exactly what I thought after watching the video from the British guy ... "why didn't he remove that bracket first?" anyway many thanks.

    I haven't dived into this yet, but @ 1:09, I see a white FoMoCo sticker. Is Rover still using Ford's design and parts? Maybe that explains why it's a contortionist's nightmare?

    Helpful, but on mine , with bracket completely removed, the filter still had to be shoved In at a hard 90.

    Thank you for the great tip. I was just about to work on the driver side when I noticed it did not look the same as the british blokes video. You saved me unwanted aggravation. Where did you get the lighted Range Rover door sill/scuff plates from?

    • @absoluteis
      @absoluteis  5 років тому

      Gary Cassano I guess the door sill lighting is standard on the dynamic because it’s not aftermarket

    are you talking about "orange mechanic's" video? His car was the same as yours, with the wheel on the left side.
