I want to embrace my silver grey highlights that are starting and do a more gradual less damaging transformation without ruining my 64 year old hair. My hair looks exactly like your clients, mine is longer but same highlights , tone, etc. I showed this to my hairdresser and asked her to do it. She was skeptical but she did it (using her salon's products that are similar to what you used) and I love the way it turned out!!! I think the "baby highlights" are the key!!!! No more big streaks of color or blond. Greying hair needs "subtle change" if you want to blend. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!
Oh wonderful! Im so glad tho hear it turned out well and your happy! 🥰♥️♥️♥️
Excellent job! You are the kind of hairdresser I always look for when I move to a new city. It seems like so many want to overcomplicate the grey situation when all you really need are some fine babylights.
Her hair is beautiful. Turned out great.
I love your rambling! I also appreciate how you break everything down, especially the pricing. It has helped me see my value and raise my color prices. Thank you!
I love how you are so real and how you explain everything so simply. I don’t think you ramble.
You are one of the best Hairdressers I've ever watched! Very talented x
Yey! Was hoping I’d see a new video from you today. I’m 99% sure I’ve binge watched at LEAST 25-30 hours of your videos and that’s a probably conservative number lol. Being stuck inside you e made me LOVE doing hair again and I’ve learned SOO MUCH! How do you not have 1 million subscribers this is def an underrated channel! I’ve shared your videos and Instagram with basically all my hair friends
#same
Thank you both so much! That really means alot, I pray one day to have a larger channel! You all make it worth it!
Thank you so much for this.. I've just done my clients hair and it came out beautifully! I can't thank you enough for giving us free education . X
It’s just so very satisfying to see every result! I love your videos because they’re long- we get to really see every step! That’s rare. You are an artist.
I've been doing babylights on my mom's hair. She's box-dyed her hair for a few months before she got caramel highlights last year. Your videos have been a tremendous help
Her hair looks so beautiful, you did a great job! Love how thick her hair is!
Thank you!!
You do great work and explain everything in great detail Kristi ! Don't listen to negative comments! 👍
Thank you, I appreciate that so much!
This was the easiest and simplified version I have found thanks
I think you really explain the process and reasons behind decisions really well. The best videos by far!
Thank you!
I totally agree , matching the dark and light with weaving makes so much more since , not going all blond because that usually looks too warm.
Exactly! Subtle is better!
Omg it looks like you’ve already toned it before you actually tone it!! This blonde solutions is something I need to have a look at!!
You totally do! Il add my affiliate link in the description if you end up deciding to purchase!

Most people don't realize that it takes years to become a good colorist, and I think you are doing great. I wish you were by me in Long Island, NY. I would love for you to do my hair, I need to blend my gray hair, so I don't have to color it anymore.
You're a hair magician 😍😍😍
Thank you so much!
Best I've seen.... I've decided to grow out my grey which still has quite a bit of dark (brown) I've been doing low lights and baby lights for the past 7/8 yrs. My stylist seems to think I can't do this??? I'm frustrated(especially after seeing how well this turned out for your client). Where are you located??? Would love to have this done by you but no doubt we are in different states. Well, just want to say it was beautiful and you are very good at your profession.
This is very good. You absolutely know your mixes and colors and how thry work with diferent hair textures
I really needed this. Thank you for making this tutorial.
Looks great!
Gorgeous. Lovely. Want it. Well done. I'm starting my grey journey from now on.xx
Thank you! Be patient, it's a journey but well worth it!
Absolutely beautiful, Kristi!! I love your work!! I hope you are having a great day!! Love you!! 💖
Hello! Thank you so much for watching! I hope you are doing well and hope you have a great valentine's day! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
You did a wonderful job with her hair, Bravo!!! Her hair is gorgeous! I have decided to stop dyeing and I'm going for silver highlights this week. I'm looking forward to it!
Oh yay! I hope you enjoy them and also the lower maintenance!
@@hairbykristijennings6648 hello! Yes, I had them done a week ago and I love how it looks! My husband continues looking at me, smiling 😍😍😍 And a lot of friends are really supportive cheerleaders even ones that are not dye-ditches yet😉😉

Yes il try adding it. Just hard with 2 hands sometimes lol
I got some Paul Mitchell the Demi but didn’t get the processing solution 😬 can this color be used with like a 6volume developer? Please thumbs up so Kristi can see!!
Sorry for late response! I believe that will be good!
Yes
1st, I love ur name,
2nd, you must b a master stylist/colorist.
3rd, I'm guessing, you want to please your viewers, that's good, but don't let a commenter EVER attempt to bully you, w/ unkind words.
4th always try to respond w/as much kindness as possible, ur other viewers are not on the receiving end as you are and may only see a response from you that may seem cruel.
Social media is a strange, funny, world of its own.
5th, your clients hair turned out so beautiful, and for me, a very young looking 65 yr old who is experiencing the same dilemma, I wish I were sitting in your chair for a beautiful fix!!
Watching & learning from
Alaska.
Thank you so much for the comment! I definitely am guilty of letting it get to me!
Wow like so good.
Hi Kristi, I so wish you could work on my hair, your clients hair looks awesome! Great job!
Really enjoying your videos Kristi. Been through quite a few technique videos and keep coming back to rewatch yours. Have a transformation today and going to use your partial baby lighting technique. Fingers crossed.
Hello! Thank you so much for watching, I hope the service turned out great!
Girly you are bad ass, I love watching your videos, so very helpful 😍💣❤️
Oh wow! Thank you so much for your compliment! I appreciate you watching!
This is exactly what I want to do ! Thank you
My Nana and my Mom both went grey super young, my Nana was completely grey by 30. My Dad was grey/white hair when I was born. I was always expecting to see the grey early, and I wanted to have the sparkling snow white hair that my Nana had and sure enough by 29 they were popping up and now at 33 my temples are very white and almost translucent.. I find it incredibly itchy and my boyfriend is always asking me to stop picking the hairs and rubbing the scalp. I have super fine hair and the grey is so coarse and a different texture, it's like a wirey curl. If I run a flat iron over the curly strands it doesn't even hold. Does anyone have any suggestions to help ease the itching? Or to help the grey smooth out with a straightener or curling iron? I've had minimal luck with a blow out but nothing stays. Thanks for this video it's so beautiful!!!
Wow! Very helpful.
Amazing! ❤ Love your work.
Thank you!

Thank you!
Hi Kristie from the uk 🇬🇧🤚🏻 hope you’re doing ok? Wow another great video showing your talents ☺️ love the tone it looks so good 💕
Hello and thank you so much! I love the tone too!
I've been loving your videos and techniques! I was wondering how long it typically takes you to perform a service like this?
Thank you! Typically 2/3 hours for just the partial
Do you do anything to her in between highlights. Do you put a Demi color on her roots? I’m trying to explain to my colorist what I want. Thanks for the great video
Her hair looks fabulous! You are amazing. I'm curious.... is this client's natural color a brunette? If so, did you start this process over the years by lightening her base color? I am a dark brunette and I am tired of having to get touch ups every month. My stylist has a game plan which we are about to start. Seeing what you have done with this client, I can visualize it for myself. I'm just still afraid to give up my dark hair.
Perfect
Thank you!
thanka for the video. thats exactly what i need. just thia time i hv to ask my husband to help me coz i struggle with coloring the back of my hair ;)
Very pretty
❤❤
love it 😍
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful work 😘👌
Love it! What are babylights?
❤ it! My mom has chin length hair & considering grey blending the gray\white, pale yellow. She has no highlights in her hair yet. She's has a mix of both brown and blonde sections in her hair. She's wash out right now, needs warmth, but doesn't want too much because worry of turning orange. What would you suggest?
I want ash blonde soo much
Lovely results! A top professional. What colors do you suggest for a brunette base 6.0?
Maybe like a 8 ash or 9, depending how cool and dark they like it
Hello I am 32 with lot of greys in my hair line and crown. I am a middle eastern brunette so Blonde hair will not look good on me. Would I still be able to do the grey blending baby lights with my brunette hair to mask my greys?
Oh yes of course ! You can make them very subtle to blend if that’s what you like. Just be prepared, if you’ve colored your hair dark, they could be warm for a few sessions to lift past warm tones.
Beautiful, I just got my hair done they used 30 took 30 minutes hardly lifted I'm disappointed but I know it's a process
Is the blonde solutions new? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it except for your channel.
Yes! Within this last year. It's AMAZING! Follow @HAIRLIKEABOSS on Instagram, he's AMAZING!
You did a great job! Do you remember how long it took you to do that service?
Yay thank you for the video. I'm 33 and am all one ashy blonde with a 3ish inch level 5ish regrowth with now almost 50% grey towards the hairline. So again thank you because I will be adding babylights now . But do you think I should drag some Baby lowlights throughout so my mids and ends are not just blonde. Thanks fellow hairdresser from CA
Also go you for calling out the rude beezy !
And where do we cosmetologist buy the solutions? Have a code
beautiful job
Thank you!!!!
Which beauty supply house sells that lightener? I’ve never seen it.
I was thinking when you do the hair around the front is there a chance of that breaking off as it was put on first?
I don't run thru the lightened ends so the new growth is fine and then pull foil earlier if needed
Regarding cool toner on hair with grey-
Would you just say you have to deal with purple on the grey if you don’t want yellow?
I have a level 5 (50%grey on top). She wants very light stripes of very pale cool blonde. (No warmth whatever, she will find it)
Isn’t they grey hair an extreme light , extreme cool highlight already?
Also she wants to get away from all over color. She does not want Demi (“nothing that will wash away”)
Personally I’d rather not apply level 5 cool (avoiding lifting with a warm base) then have to bleach up to a level 10. Her hair is long and healthy, we both agree healthy is most important.
So many things..... for 1, she needs to understand if she's done all over grey coverage in a natural darker color, she'll be combatting that warmth for ever and need regular toning treatments after lightening cause that warm will stain the hair and keep showing thru.... that's just how color is, NOTHING is permanent. Its only called permanent cause it permanently restructures the hair bonds... I have a few other videos on grey blending, I'll try to make a play list of just grey, but If she sounds unrealistic, then she's not worth the hassle. Often times if someone isn't willing to pay for grey transformation in 1 sitting, that could be 8-12 hour service and $800+, then they won't get close to what they want for probably 3 sessions. Like get it in writing. Ive explained the service, its going to be warm for a while. Client understands then cries and complains cause it's such a hard transition to deal with in smaller sessions, they don't understand until they see it how conflicting the tones are, trying to lift thru the old color only getting to a level 7, trying to tone it but it looks so warm compared to the grey grow out..... it really is hard to adjust to and you have to marke sure to over explain that to clients.
