Thanks Adrian, thinking all of us IWC fans appreciate the through descriptions of the movements and case without having to travel to an IWC AD. Mine is 1.5 hours away so learning from you is a nice treat!
How can you say “clearly” when you’re wrong? 🤡 And how can you say “favourable”, that’s implying you know my thoughts better than me? So odd. You get a double 🤡🤡
@@cdm765If Mr.Adrian were paid for this review then Why would he say negative things about the watch ? Sometimes just take a second and think before typing comments !
IWC are one of the best Swiss watch brands. Their customer service is unmatched in the industry and their watches are top notch quality. Just walk into one of their boutiques. They’re just slightly too big for my taste but besides that, all praises towards IWC are warranted. This is truly one of the top 2 or 3 best watch enthusiasts watch brand.
nkuwan You are so well-informed about luxury watches. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
Is the seconds hand moving when hacking with crown pulled normal for watches at this price point? (3:36) I've noticed the portugieser 40mm doing the same when I checked it out in person. Doesn't that defeat the purpose of hacking for setting accurate time?
I love IWC, but is this a paid review? Feels like it by the way you’re describing the cons. Can you let us know please Adrian? Were you paid for this review? Thanks in advance. Big fan of your work and love your b&j straps. 👌
I don't find 13mm for an automatic chronograph thick. It's actually quite proportional to the 41mm case and appropriate. A Daytona for comparison is 12.3mm, which is fantastic, but other automatic chronographs are usually in the 15mm height range.
Hi Adrian, it would be really great if you could have slightly longer wrist shots in your videos and about 6 inches or so back from your current camera zoom level... this gives us viewers a little more of an idea of what the watch looks like on the wrist (which lets be honest is the main thing we're interested in). Throughout the video, the wrist shots are only a few seconds in length before cutting away and I find myself skipping through or rewinding just to get a good look at the product! many thanks
being too thin puts pressure on the engineering integrity of the case and movement. I am going to do a video on "thin watches"... 🤓 the non-screw down case back on the 7 day looks like an attempt to reduce size... umm... I need to see in the hand but I hope it is not a size thing or responding to fashion trend.
Something tells me it’ll be more than fifty quid. Reminds me of that famous T E Lawrence Omega which, I suppose was also a pocket watch influenced piece?
Always surprising to see the number font on the sub dials NOT matching that of the main dial (see the number "'" and "4" for example). So much gushing over how every detail was attended to. Yet this, "nails on the chalkboard" error persists. Ugh!
Very nice looking watches, but I would much much prefer a thinner watch and a ~60 hour power reserve. With regard to the chronograph, I hope the new models have better pusher action than the old model. When I played around with the older model about a year ago I was shocked at how absolutely crappy the feel was when using the chronograph, especially for such an expensive watch.
In the past, I contacted IWC to request that this model also be offered in an overall smaller size (38mm case, 45mm lug to lug, 10mm depth, 20mm lug width). I was politely pushed aside. In all seriousness, the size of this watch is the only reason why I haven't purchased this watch.
3:35 I trink IWC has big problems with their movements; look at the seconds and the minutes hands when Adrian is pulling out the crown. They jump weirdly. My Mark XX does the same. IWC please fix that movement problems. For this price point definitely not accebtable.
Don’t know why anyone puts anti reflective coatings on outside. Seen so many that looks rubbish after a few years. Let’s put an almost un scratch-able crystal on a watch and then coat it in something that is easily scratched… weird.
It's so weird that you skipped Zenith, the best new models at watches& wonders 2024! How could you not have discovered the first Zenith Defy diver watches and chronograph watches!
Finally some talk about other brands, not the usual Rolex, Tudor and Omega.
42 Looks lovely, case back looks awesome filling the crystal!
Strange how much better it looks with the sub dial at 3&9 as opposed to 12&6 👌🏻
Thanks Adrian, thinking all of us IWC fans appreciate the through descriptions of the movements and case without having to travel to an IWC AD. Mine is 1.5 hours away so learning from you is a nice treat!
lug to lug? Lug-to-Lug? LUG TO LUG?...
Clean designs
You're on top of all my favorite releases this week. Great Portuguese models.
I love the understated and classy look of these. Lovely.
Clear and beautiful. Gorgeous. 😎
Color matched date disc on the blue dial version somehow caught my eye more than it should 👍
look very fine the new watches, thanks for the quick intro
Stunning collection.
Happy 300k subs Adrian!🎉
That maroon dial Portugueser always melts my heart
IWC Should just hire Adrian as their chief marketing 😭😭😭
How can you say “clearly” when you’re wrong? 🤡

Unfortunately he has a non compete clause in his Rolex employment agreement

But how does it look on a B&J nato?

Keep it coming Adrian. All geeked & excited for Watches & Wonders.
Wow !! Beautiful
Love IWC watches
Getting more excited by this that any IWC material i've ever seen. Great video!
The 40 black and gold was my favorite release from this range
Nice watches, good review 👍🏻
The black version of the 7 day is treating me well. I agree, it looks much nicer in person.
Cheers,

Love iwc
Beautiful, thanks for sharing.

Thanks in advance. Big fan of your work and love your b&j straps. 👌
Portugieser has always been a big watch. IWC needs to bring back the Kleine ("Small") Portugieser.
Recently tried on a new LONGINES Chrono. Drop dead gorgeous,.... but 17mm thick.
😮😮😮😮😮😮 dealbreaker.
Huge congrats on 300K!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Any idea which watch Adrian is wearing? Not sure why it distracted me so much 😂
BB58 silver. 👍🏻
Great choice. Mine is on the way. Would love to see your ownership thoughts. Loved the video you already did.
How does this compare to the Unitas driven Stowa?
How much does IWC pay its youtubers?
The Yacht Club is one of my favorite watches, though I'm surprised they haven't revisited the OG yet. I'd bet that they're working on it though.
Long time fan of these, though the price always has me looking at other watches.

When can we see the Portuguesier eternal calendar ?
In two words: Massive Crystal
Congrats Adrian on 300k subs! Cheers 👍⌚☕
Adrian is like the Richard Hammond of watches. I just noticed this.

Crystal clear 😂
That cancelled element was almost a meme 😂

It actually looks like a Patek.
It’s funny, I’ve worked in high end retail and as an event photographer in Miami for 7 years and have never seen a single person wearing an IWC watch.
I’ve never understood a power indicator on an automatic watch. Make it manual and maybe 1 mm thinner.
Your very confused.
I prefer their Big Pilot line.
Have the red Chrono and went back to IWC factory for the red alligator band. Now it rocks and I luv it.
Feck it ! I would wear that Portugieser upside down and check the time on my phone , that twin barrel movement looks the tits.
You have a 6.5cm wrist?
Came here looking for this comment, I assume he meant inches
Nothing against IWC, but I've not seen any of them that really grab my attention.
6:37 Not at 42mm it ain't!
Nice new watch on your wrist! BB58 925? Is that your personal watch?
Have they improved the water resistance?
yes! water resistant for 7 days is now 5 bars instead of 3 bars
A bunch of bricks 🧱
Great review of a gorgeous watch, I look forward to seeing if I can actually afford one, fingers crossed
I’ve recently tried on most of their collection. Beautiful movements, but the sizes and fit are consistently way off. I wish I could like them.
That's hot.
Excellent- thank you
Look out for the movie Anthony Zimmer where that watch is the motif
Lol, only 60 hours of power reserve... ok, 7 days is nuts and awesome just to think about
Just waiting for Adrian's video on the 2024 Rolex releases. Man, THEY WERE BAD.
Love that BB 925 on the wrist @adrian!
That Blue One, NICE! Are you wearing the new monochrome BB?
I miss the touch of red on the power reserve indicator.
Absolutely my favorite Longines Homage.
Homage? Lmao
🤣
Locing the 42's.... Classy...
Comment deleted? Was saying id love this in 39mm x 11mm thick... my Mark xvi with those dimensions is superb
wish they updated the red dial
Great review and beautiful watches. I really like the style, so elegant, just wish I could justify the expense.
Very nice looking watches, but I would much much prefer a thinner watch and a ~60 hour power reserve. Same watch as before...
They all look great to me, just sadly out of my price point
The best of Watches & Wonders 2024 is Zenith!
In the past, I contacted IWC to request that this model also be offered in an overall smaller size (38mm case, 45mm lug to lug, 10mm depth, 20mm lug width). I was politely pushed aside. In all seriousness, the size of this watch is the only reason why I haven't purchased this watch.
IWAc such an underrated brand. And such an amazing brand.
underrated??? trolling much?
oooh....i have to say, I like the older style better.....#sad
I do like IWC but just feel they should stay away from sub dials 😬
Almost first 😂
Not keen
Nice looking watches, but Richemont's pricing strategy for IWC is simply daft.
3:35 I trink IWC has big problems with their movements; look at the seconds and the minutes hands when Adrian is pulling out the crown. They jump weirdly. My Mark XX does the same. IWC please fix that movement problems. For this price point definitely not accebtable.
42 - the thickness and fussiness of a chrono without the functionality .. meh. The actual chrono looks great though.
Too big and too expensive. What a shame. IWC overprices all their watches.
Love the design, but to thick for my taste
They are not exciting
New Rolex GMT is super exciting 😅🤣😂
Don’t know why anyone puts anti reflective coatings on outside. Seen so many that looks rubbish after a few years. Let’s put an almost un scratch-able crystal on a watch and then coat it in something that is easily scratched… weird.
Again, and again, too thick for such a watch.
Too big.
It's so weird that you skipped Zenith, the best new models at watches& wonders 2024! How could you not have discovered the first Zenith Defy diver watches and chronograph watches!
why don't you speak slower and show each model longer.
Hmm, nothing special.. like the new Rolex releases. Nomos and H.Moser did a better job I think.
Rolex lanch was so bad that you start with IWC
meh
Too big…pity…looks daft on your wrist Adrian
Wow these releases are boring!!
I swear the happiness I feel when #nkuwan uploads a video is beyond!!!!
Very beautiful watches unfortunately too big too thick
#nkuwan 's watch really surprises me!
