@@danielmendes5419 best in not pretending and playing metal! best in knowing who they are and delivering the shit we wanna hear, not the crappy mass media shallow bullshit, like slayer or slipknot. They have held it for 4 decades! it's crazy!
This performance of Sane is the tightest, most energetic live show I have ever witnessed on film. Holy fucking shit. The song in its normal tempo is already freaking fast. But this? They turned the speed up even more to almost 2x and they still stay SO. TIGHT. This is just ridiculously good musicianship.
@8:37 look at Haake!! He’s looking up, in total phase of consciousness, concentrating on the portal he is opening, keeping it stable so it dosent collapse as we cross over lol, fucking insane. No other band with this technical prowess AND vision for their art. LEGENDS, GOAT
I’m somewhere in this crowd lmao, Meshuggah , Lamb of God, Killswitch, Goatwhore, Mastodon, the whole event are some of the best two days you could spend back in the early 2000s in New England. You could go to this fest and then drive to Providence and see Lightning Bolt the next weekend. Wish the festival was still kicking, those were the fuckin days lol
I saw this online in bad quality only and realized I'll be king if I just buy the dvd it's from. Plus I have remastered music videos for 20 years or so... Plus meshuggah sux and that thing happening on 20sec is meshuggahs most massive moment in history...
i spent 10eur on buying the original nemhf dvd and recut and reequalized all the single video scenes.. the audio was a very unusual double stereo stream, so i threw both tracks thru an equalizer. it was a multi band festival dvd and quite a different age of camera technology so it was easy to go beyond the original... however what really had me do all of this was THORS HAMMER SCREAM at 0:19
Yeah this is now by far the definite version of Sane and Sickening out there! Wish they did more pro shot-recording of this era, like this entire set had to get shot somehow? Maybe the raw-footage is still around in some archive somewhere?
@@Alexander_Tronstad i wouldnt bet theres more from this gig. reason why i dont is the NEMHF DVD. its got about 20 bands aboard w 2 songs each. whoever recorded it most likely had an assignment to "tape 3 songs per band" and then 2 outta these got selected for use. if a filmteam does a music festival, they usually dont film 10 bands in 10 hours straight and all 10 shows fulltime. i worked w pro film teams doing such festival dvds, and unless one band said they (or their label) wants to have a fullshow, it was 3 songs 15 minutes taped. www.discogs.com/release/2688553-Various-The-New-England-Metal-And-Hardcore-Festival-2003
Nothing I did. I took the DVD footage and reprogged brightness, reequalized audio, no intention to change speed. Check alternate versions of the same clip and tell me if that's more nsync than mine, I dunno.
Meshuggah the best metal band to date! In my opinion.
aaandd…. yes !!!
Totally agree 👍🏻

That ending to Sane is pure fucking violence and I'm all for it.
4:12 has got to be one of the heaviest stuff Meshuggah ever pulled out, simply monstruous

Nice. Must of been punchy as fvck.

Hands down the best version of the Sickening solo!!
Them fucking vocals from fredrik and marten, fuxking sick
That's just the best song. Martin Hagstrom, I salute you
Ventilation never feels the same after a first-row Meshuggah show. Their head banging is awesome.
I like Fredriks "Anthrax/Madhouse" quote.

@@janhenrikbauer LOL Hey man I always hear that when that part comes around
More of this performance pleeeeease!!!
I took it from a DVD and I don't think the filmteam recorded more than 3 tracks per band or so, as it was a festival DVD recording.
saw them earlier this year, tight as fck. only difference between then and now .. we're all grey
Is this video sped up for Sane? Something about it seems a little off and unnatural

They didn't use a click track back then, so they just went with the flow
@@janhenrikbauer I did watch the other versions. Its not just your video. Just the way they are moving and the pace of the song seems sped up to me.
I still don't get your point. Performance goes totally inzane at moments, can you just accept that hmm?
bro this is how they performed it, they went full chaosphere berserk and it fucking rules
Dude, why so fast. Its sounds like 20 bpm faster than normal.
Cause its fucking meshuggah
This is the tempo it should have been recorded at. All the early shows where they played sickening it's faster than the studio version
Bro their 7 string songs go harder imo. So much more progressive.
