remastering janhenrikbauer 10/2022. vid levels sharpen upscale. aud equalizer.
One of the greatest boy bands ever.
Only on futile bread machine and ayahuasca experience their other songs r ghey
@@janhenrikbauer DMT. Not Ayahuasca. There is a major difference.
@@mortenhansen3455 there is a song called the ayahuasca experience, and there is no song called dmt. by your favourite gangstah rappa maybe, but i know my meshuggah more than you do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! as you bow to my wisdom, eat my own fantastic meshuggah ayahuasca video here: ua-cam.com/video/n2sJqzjTTog/v-deo.html
The way Jens casually unpacks his melodica for a solo in Soul Burn. 😀 (12:55)
Imagine traveling to the past with a time machine to see a band from the future live.
Fredrik had some energy back then!
Real Vikings never get old, still today they are the most powerful band on the planet. They never ever changed to the trends of new metal, or other stuff from the '90, the stayed the same and now you can see how many bands are imitating them, but 30 years later, because it took a lot to understand them.
Bro they are nu metal gods influenced by Sepultura, Soulfly, Korn, Sludge Metal, and Metallica.
I mention korn because they opened up many doors in metal.
They are nu metal because it's more advanced than death metal. With the use of the modern recording software/equipment at the time.
@@uriahuriah3792 they have recorded that kind of music in 1989..Korn first album is in 1994. First “nu metal” album from sepoltura is roots in 1995. Messhuggah have always been in their own league. Was not possible to establish their genre and today they call it djent. I don’t think you know dates and order of music. The only influence could have been Metallica, but they have nothing in common.
@@MrLockwiseI was referring to the methods of recording as nu metal ways.
Pisses me off when people think that nu metal isn't a genre.
Meshuggah didn't start to use 7 string guitars until 90s
Meshuggah was learning different drum patterns from drum machines.
Metal improved a lot with the help of drum machines. That's what makes it new metal. Ice cube says in an interview that metal bands improved after NWA. it's been the way of the future.
@@MrLockwise Thomas stated in an interview last year that Immutible was like Metallica.
@@MrLockwise yes they are djent but they have elements from certain bands I mention. Not 100%, but the heavy tones and low tones. Just like korn was influenced by Death Metal and gangsta rap.
There's 90s videos of meshuggah listening to electronic pop music haha which makes them extremely knowledgeable in all music.
Humiliative 0:37
Transfixition 5:45
Soul burn 9:44
Future breed machine 16:54
Sickening 22:56
Thanks fren
thanks, was looking for transfixition
You can either love or hate these guys but you cant deny they are the most influential metal band of the 21st century.
This is honestly the most perfect thing Ive ever seen on both the interwebs and vhs bootleg tapes from the old days. I feel as happy as a pig in shit watching this.
Man these guys rule, hope they make it big some day
It took a good god damn 20 years or so, but yeah I think they made it. lol
Thats the best fucking Band in the World 🤟
They just created the modern Metal.
dude they got signed ,in 96,on century media now they play live in areans, where been under a rock
They've been out for 25byears lol
they were so fuckin cutting edge! Also I love how spontaneously they created their own colorful sound by non-pop means (jazz scales, musical darkness)
Jens on the electric flute thingy absolutely sent me
Late 90s Meshuggah is truly peak in terms of aggression and chaos.
None of them is that old yet, just chill maan
They need to do a show now with all these old-school songs. A whole set dedicated to the og meshuggah ❤
og = original gangsta
That would be fucking AMAZING. Sickening is one of my faves. If anyone knows of a live performance of Marrow, please tell me. That song is just crazy. Seeing them in December. Can’t wait.
@@daves4589 if they don't do futile bread machine the show gonna be big lame noballz
They did a retro songs themed tour in 2014 including songs from Contradictions Collapse and None EP and it was stated by the band that they were never going to play those songs again after that tour
They're playing Humiliative on tour right now!
oh my god the melodica solo on soul burn
I've never heard SOULBURN this heavy!!!
13:00 hahahahaha wtf :P
these guys are fuckin awesome thats what lol
From that time listening to MESHUGGAH until today forever Meshuggah 🤘🤘🤘
i always forget how chaotic their old stuff was
Jens @2:43 expressing the moment perfectly MENTAL
amazing, thanks for uploading this gem!
love how Fred just seems to be somewhat tripping in literally every single old recording I've found yet
And marten is completely mental, with that bodybanging 😂
I love when the camera rolls out to the crowd at the end of the set and the look on all their faces was priceless. Jaws all dropped in awe and confusion at the same time. People weren't ready for Meshuggah but so captivating and far ahead of the game creatively in modern metal. Meshuggah will always be my favorite band of all time ❤
This is a great short but massive show.
technical pantera
thought the same ghaahahaga
This is pure gold. Timeless shit
Jens playing a mini accordion solo lmaooo??? Killer show tho
Cool Band!!!
Bro, what a gem of a gig!
In Mexico we love Meshuggah
.
*un concert fabuleux !* 👊🏼
Thanks for this upload! I saw them live in Umeå this friday.. and its so cool to see how they evolved.. here they are kinda punk and Pantera influenced.. and now they are a thing of their own.. a machine.. so much love for these guys
Historical!!! Thank you!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
7:56 lol
The fact you uploaded the whole gig is amazing. I am eternally grateful 🙏🏻
I hope I posted the same comment under the original uploaders video, this here was just remastered. As superb as the show was, as sad were those decades where it just slept away in a video archive with a single song once released in a 1995 QuickTime format
I've been looking for this video for a long time. Thanks
Someone else dug it out, I just sharpened it.
@@janhenrikbauer Nice. I just converted it to AV1 and sharpened it even more. It's 240 meg now. lol
@@meecob for the previous 15 or 20 years there was just one song of this show on UA-cam and it was in a 240pixel resolution indeed.
@@janhenrikbauer yeah! Probably Humilative. That's all I ever found. It's in my library now thanks to you. Cheers x
@@meecob yowelcome. I dug out a number of old pro meshuggah recordings and remastered these, this one was really easy done, on download festival I went scene by scene fixing it
epic
Fucking amazing
@3:38 another premium Meshuggah moment
This is the most beautiful metal band of all time.
This is fucking awesome
Pop Stars
kickin fucking ass straight out the gate
amazing performance, this is absolute peak Meshuggah for me.
too bad the sound guys couldn't get their shit together, bass is barely there, guitars go completely silent in the middle of songs...
It's always difficult on multi band festival recordings where the sound guy needs to mix 10 bands in 3 days or so
ok, what the hell is going on 13:05
Just basic melodica solo by Jens Kidman of Meshuggah
Human creativity at its best
Meshuggah... simply, that's what's going on.
wish i knew what amplification they were using. Its sounds so great
Marshall Valvestate 8200!
For the studio they used a Marshall jcm800 cab and mesa boogie .50 caliber on None and a Dual Rectifier on Destroy Erase Improve
How cool must have you been if you knew these guys back in '97, did people know them around the world or just Europe?
I had heard of them here in the states but couldn’t get into them! I know, I suck as a human. Wasn’t until Obzen when I could actually listen to more than a song. Now, I’m obsessed with them. They sound better live than the albums. Seeing them in Cincy this December and can’t wait. Would love to see some of these old tunes make the rotation.
When Machine Head were playing at Dynamo in 1995, bassist Adam Duce is actually wearing a Meshuggah sweatshirt!
FUCK YES
@4:35 another great moment LOL
Pmsl at Fredrik just losing his mind 😂
Humiliative as the opener? yeah i woudve been throwing down like a caveman 2 stepps and all
Soulburn solo go fuckin crazyyyyyyyy 🤪
Not even AI could've made up this shit. Straight perfection 25 years ago or so, too stoned to figure out
