This dude xd

This dude bruh xd
This will age well hehe
Voice that goes UP like a angel and DOWN like a wounded Ox!
Lmao! I can't remember which song that's from
PERIPHERY
LOVE THAT SHIT
1:15 Djustin Timberlake!
this comment doesnt have enough likes haha
Xero II It weirdly goes good with the song
You win the comment section sir
@@devindawson2710 4 years later, still needs more likes. God damn
T'urev Schrödinger I agree !
Spencer has really outdone himself on Alpha/Omega, fucking love it. Such a powerful voice. Beyond Jake, beyond Casey, beyond Chris, when Misha finally found Spencer it was like an epic quest had finally been completed.
Not to mention with every release he has a very clear improvement in range with both his clear and harsh vocals
I actually loved Casey..his vocals were a good fit with spence even
JohnC546 seriously, he improves each time... it's like double the amazingness each time... very cool to listen to
Josh Harbaugh They have similar styles
theBOSpaladin101 Very similar. I actually preferred Casey in some instances because his cleans were a little..deeper and less feminine. For me personally, Spence is great when he opens his lungs. But when he sings quietly he starts sounding more and more feminine like a diva lol
Spencer is a fantastic vocalist, people are out of their fucking minds... like god damn.
agreed
He's fucking amazing
+Jake G Right?
I'm with you. Spencer has become one of my very favorite vocalists. Incredible.
Just saw them live last night and SPencer nailed every single note. The power is real
wow I just realized the breakdown at 3:48 is the end of Four Lights
The thing about P1 is that when they wrote all of the songs, they had a vocalist that wasn't Spencer. This means that when Spencer joined and recorded vocals for the first album, he was singing in a style that wasn't his own, which is why it was missing that feeling of authenticity and emotion (If you've ever heard the recordings of P1 songs with the original vocalist, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about). I loved the vocals on P2, but by the time Juggernaut came around, Spencer really found his sound, and it works unbelievably well with the rest of the band. I can't believe the emotion that the Juggernaut songs stir up in me simply because of the inflection in Spencer's voice.
Casey sabol Soo good when they sang together on p1
Omega: "...fire burning down below"
Stranger Things: "...water raining from above"
Similar melodies.
Nice structure there, Periphery.
That kind of thing is all over these albums. Flawlessly done concept record.
+Josh Rose its amazing how well they put this together. months since the albums came out and we are still finding little things still
+Josh Rose I love the parallel structure that they put in both of the albums!
Blake Warrens yup yup, he did! all of it haha
Also "Sadistic Horror" and "Majestic Aura". The way Spencer lined up the melodies with the parallels in lyrics is just beyond me.
Even in 2023 this album is ahead of its time. And it forever will be❤
Agree, I come back to this album always and my love for it is neverending
This album is Legendary, its their most well known album ever made.
I've been pumping it nonstop lately. I didn't love it when it first came out, but MAN it has grown on me. What a masterpiece.
Yes
Could be Periphery's best song.. Yeah I just went there
Thinking about that too... it's been on repeat for days with Omega thrown in occasionally.
John Crichton I always say that about whatever song of theirs I'm listening to. Like I think I have a favorite by them and than I listen to a different song and think that's my new favorite and so on and so forth. They're just incredible as a whole. They very slowly but surely took over as my favorite band and crushed my appreciation of the other bands I used to like that pale in comparison and introduced me to new stuff like Dream Theater and such.
That's quite the proposition, but i've been thinking the same thing. I'm pretty convinced this is their best overall song. Shows all their diversity and everything they do well with seamless transitions while flawlessly flowing from one section into another. And dude, the bridge is fucking incredible...the vocals, guitars, drums. its perfect. honestly.
K I take it back, this is the best song EVER.
This song has an awesome Masamune/Erised feel to it, which are two of my favorite songs off of P2. How can a drummer not love Erised and this song lol
OFFICIAL LYRICS:
Wandering below the hadean seal
Shaking, mortified, making my way back to nowhere
This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day
There never would have been a light if the messenger in still life had regard for the son of the damaged soul
Send the mirror falling
Heavens see that this man once had value among all the golden
But eccentric revisions in life brought on decay
Take submission from a man in control
Set the sail blowing, search for peace
A loose feeling consuming me
Blood is spent
A token for my sacrifice
Fallen angel, you speak my name
The needle turns, the hourglass is spinning around
Give it, I want it... a sense of a fucking life
I can almost feel mine at home
Selfish cries
I’m diseased
Let it pour out and show what has healed
One can finally find what's left in this masochistic personality
In a holy bond we live
Take a breath for seconds in this moment
Sail upon the open skies
Exhale your death and feel life, like water raining from above
Majestic aura
Take in my breath and lock eyes with a world once absent of your love
Majestic aura
Blood spent
A token for my sacrifice
The tortured realm has released my name
I can feel my body parting with this world
Rebirth is starting from within
I'm born some place beyond your time
Selfish cries
Flaunt disease
Own what's mine
Death upon my knees
Let it pour out and show what has healed
One can finally find what's left inside this masochistic personality
In a holy bond we live
Take a breath for seconds in this moment
Sail upon the open skies
Floating up above the hadean seal
Sounds of ambient voices will lead me from nowhere
This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day
EVERYONE LIKE THIS SO PEOPLE CAN SEE THE LYRICS
love the sadistic horror/majestic aura connection
The Spoon
Sadistic aura, not horror.
my b, everywhere on the internet said horror so i went by that, but apparently it is aura
I'm
Gonna be a tough one to sing along to in the car
lol
When you can't scream so you just whisper aggresively
Done it! WORTH IT!
Lmao I'm sure your version sounds just as good

Juggernaut is a spiritual journey for me. Nothing else captures the the workings of a traumatized, suffering mind like this album does. The changing emotions of darkness and light, the hopelessness, the fleeting moments of happiness and peace, and the motif of becoming free, of being reborn is what I (and I think many of us) go through in a spiritual journey, or psychotherapy. This album is purely, deeply human, and a masterpiece I will never forget.
I'm happy to say I've finally come around to loving this album. I remember not being very into it when I first listened to it (I was obsessed with the faster pace and technicality of the first two albums and P3, and thought juggernaut felt too slow by comparison). Now it's my second favorite out of the whole discography, only topped by Hail Stan for me currently. I need to properly revisit it soon, I can appreciate it so much more now.
3:19... This by far the best moment of the whole album.
I tear up a little bit every time man so beautiful
The fucking groove at 4:32-5:02. So grateful to be listening to passionate musicians.
This groove might be my favorite part of both CDs, was not expecting such a beautiful riff after the delicious heavy parts.
It's called The Unguided by Jake Bowen.
ua-cam.com/video/-wD4I1p5Tms/v-deo.html
A bit late, but I love how the first time the riff plays out the bass just rides the rhythm and in the second time it plays what the guitars are playing. So subtle but damn so tasty!!
Spencer’s explosion at 5:30 is the most spine chilling thing I have ever heard in a song and it’s why this is one of my favorite songs. Holy shit
I disagree, just because of the layering. He had a full breath and just let it blast, as he can and should. However he has such a fun range that personally I love more when he explores from his high to low ends throughout a song or album.
But I'm glad you enjoy his vocals as much as I do, a lot of the bitter comments focus on the vocals, and personally I think the vocals are as important as any other instrument. Drums, guitar, and vocals all fit together and none is better than the other.
That's my favorite part.
Why is it over? Why can't it just keep going?
***** love the start of this album aswell with Reprise
+Jordan Sims It is depressing isn't it? I listen to this album front to back every day for probably 5 months (no joke). Then sporadically every few days/multiple times per week for another 3-4 months. Then featured tracks when lifting probably once a week until now. It's so absurdly good, I never get tired of it, and I just want more :(
I want to like this, but you're at 69 likes and I won't be the one to fuck that up.
lets just be happy it ended on a damn good note rather than drag on and become boring
Yesssss
Periphery is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite bands. Very versatile group of skilled musicians who come up with complex, technical, yet catchy tunes. They are humble down to Earth dudes too. I look forward to seeing them again, they put on a hell of a show!
There is no one singular best periphery song, they are all concurrently the best.
Unable to choose a favorite song.
Yes
also hello skyunai
@@thecasiorobinson who are you, where did you get this number (hi.)
@@Skyunai yes
That tapping riff at 2:05, waited so long to hear it ever since the studio updates.
Hell of a closer.
Glad i pre-ordered
Tyler Cox I love a lot of Periphery's closets. This one, Pyschosphere is great (even if the melody is kinda repetitive), and Lune from their most recent album are really good
Periphery III: Select Difficulty, that's what it's called
After listening through the entirety of this masterpiece, I have butterflies in my stomach. I waited two years to see Periphery live, finally accomplished that goal on 1/18/15, and now have listened to the album of a band that captured my heart from the beginning.
They have changed. They have evolved. But as their sounds progresses, so does my love for this band of geniuses.
To the haters, you were never a true fan.
To the purists, you were never a true fan.
To those like me, let us rise into the heavens with a glorious ballad by Periphery.
Josh Harbaugh lol a little extreme, but yes and yes and yes dude. I just seen them a little while back and they are real tight live. And as they progress they are still, well not necessarily getting better, but evolving in such a way that keeps them very interesting to listen too. I’ll for sure be a fan for life.
And I don’t mean not getting better as In not getting better. They’re at the top of their game, but I find the old and new equally as pleasing.
how is no one talking about that drum solo! It is insane, especially since the guitarists in the background are playing two notes, and the drummer is just going off.
8 second in and I'm in love. The Periphery Effect.
Not that I would expect anything less, but the production on this album is incredible.
This album is STILL one of the best albums ive ever heard. I dont even think P3 can compete with what they threw into Juggernaut. Like, P3 is great, i listen to it almost daily, but this is just so so so fantastic.
While individually, the musicianship of this album is more impressive, I think the overall feel and quality or songwriting on P3 is drastically superior. Both great though without a doubt!
I feel like more fans than not hold up P2 as their magnum opus, but personally for me it's Juggernaut. I know that's a bit of a cheat because it's dual album, but I'm sticking to it. More of my favorites (The Bad Thing, Four Lights, 22 Faces, Stranger Things in no particular order) come off Juggernaut than the rest. P1 is probably second. For this band, having them ranked isn't a problem; even being ranked lowest out of all their work is an honor because it would be compared favorably to many top ranked albums from other bands.
I got into Jinjer recently and there's a contrast to be made because "Pisces" is by far their best song. They have some other good ones, but none even come close. Peaks and valleys with them. With Periphery, it's just peaks, peaks, and more peaks. Juggernaut is Everest, but the rest are K2, Lhotse, and Makalu.
3:00 Matt Halpern....you fucking badass
literally thinking the same thing
if you weren't, the only explanation is you are deaf
I feel you bruh
+Fat Milky Even if your were deaf you could still feel it. No excuses haha.
true....touch'e
The quintal harmony durring "majestic aura" is so gorgeous!
That last chorus and outro are beautiful
how nobody mentions about sotelo's magic from 3:20 alongwith the guitars... just perfect combination. Unparalleled voice!!
This song always comes to mind whenever I see advertisements or posts for Netflix's show Stranger Things.
The show kinda reminds me of both of these albums, with all the talk about MK Ultra, Dark Reflections, and Children Monsters.
Stranger Things show producers confirmed as Periphery fans? :p
no
fAt
big rob
What really sold me on this album was the riff that starts at 4:33. For me that's probably one of Periphery's best passages just feels super powerful, and under control. I wonder who wrote that riff or if it was a collaboration. Sounds like something Jake would write.
It's called The Unguided by Jake Bowen
ua-cam.com/video/-wD4I1p5Tms/v-deo.html
leandro5455 Yeah I just realized this recently, so it turned out I was right on the mark about the Jake being the creator.
This is the most amazing concept album my ears have ever been graced with the sound of.
Operation. Mind Crime,
Metropolis part 2 scenes from a memory
Pelagic,
Try those too
try a concept band
coheed and cambria
Kezia is pretty good
Inbred M3ssiah I like coheed a lot, but their music doesn't really stack up to this. Still fun to listen to though.
Calla Doran Listen to 'Thick as a Brick' by Jethro Tull
This album is so underrated
I'm still listening to both of these albums to this day, and damn...this song is just so well written. The ending gets me everytime
Same, to think we almost got a part 2 😢
ever since juggernaut released, i could not stop listening!
In before P1 purists come in and shit on this entire double-disc.
Sorry guys, change happens.
This is years ahead what other people are doing right now. These two albums are so good it's ruining other bands for me. This came out three years after P2 and it's so crazy that this is what they made they out do themselves every album. Periphery is amazing.
This comment aged well. There isn't shit out there that's this good. I'm still listening in 2021
@@DR-ge8hp theres good modern artists forsure in 2022!
That freaking ending being the reverse of the beginning of A Black Minute gave me serious chills
It's like a reflection of what you once were and a promise to never go back.
You know, it's actually kinda funny how much of the lyrics of this song has paralleled with the actual show's plot so far, even though this came out a whole year before even the show's first season did.
Actually, the lyrics of the whole ALBUM sound a bit like the show's plot, with the whole MK Ultra experiments and the protagonist discovering the existence of a hellish underworld, and all that.
This might be my absolute favorite periphery song
Anyone else hear the connection between the beginning of this chorus and the chorus from 22 faces? Periphery is the best at tastefully revisiting ideas throughout an album (or even across their discography; there’s a part in this song that sounds a lot like part of The Walk all the way from P1)
Excuse me.. what? How am I only now discovering this song+band?
feel ya bro...I apparently lived under a rock for alot of years, slept on alot of music/bands. As my music taste has grown over the years, I'm discovering things like Periphery and I'm like "why is it 2021 and I'm just now hearing this band?"...then I get happily lost in their catalogue, listening over and over in amazement.
best song out of the 2 albums.
and it's last
typically the last song in all of their albums have been the best, Racecar from P1, Mile Zero from P2, and now this.
Michael Coletti
Last song on PII is Masamune, not Mile Zero. Both amazing songs, regardless.
Michael Coletti Masamune crushes the absolute shit out of Mile Zero. And is also actually last. :P
Michael Coletti Masamune is the last on P2, but I do think Mile Zero is an awesome song.
David Baji But the two have a completely different feel to them, but they are both equally fucking amazing for different reasons.
One of the best songs 🤘
1:15 our man with some smooth vocals right there
I truly feel that this song represents everything amazing about periphery. Spencer's vocal work is perfection and he utilize's every vocal technique I've ever heard him use (1:15 - 1:20 anyone?), the guitar riffs are top notch with incredible depth and solos, halpern absolutely tears it up in the drum solo, the production and mix is perfect and everything about this song shines.
This right here. Not too mention it's one of the heavier songs on the bass end of things so Nollys' skills are showcased as well
this song gave me tears the first time I listened to it. I knew this pair was going to be great albums so I listened to them alone, without interruption, sUUUUper high on weed. this shit still moves me. Periphery is like one of the only bands who can do that to me... Dimmu's last two albums did that to me too, but not like these continue to do.
Honestly what I really like about this band is how the drums sound almost out of sequence but in an amazingly good way! I don't hear drums like this in any other bands.
Michael Ellman it's polyrhythms and is present in many djent bands like animals as leaders or chon. Chon has the most ridiculous rhythms I've ever seen
i really think this is the greatest song periphery has ever made! such emotion! really showcases what periphery is, in my opinion! goosebumps every time!
Literally such a brutal and incredible song, and it ends Omega off perfectly.
And the ending cycles right back to the beginning of Alpha! (the beginning of alpha is the end of Omega (stranger things) in reverse! This is one of my favorite concept albums ever
My very simplistic interpretation of Juggernaut:
A boy is born into a cult, lives his life killing people, doing evil stuff, wondering what it would be like outside.. Eventually discovers he is in fact a demon, kills himself, embraces this blunt reality and accepts it, trancends to the afterlife, and lives out eternity with his true "father", Beelzebub. Spencer said, in his segment with Nolly I believe, that he drew a lot of influence from Rosemary's Baby.
As I said, that's a very minimalistic description, I could've obviously gone into greater detail, but some of the lyrics are self explanitory... I know a lot of people are struggling to understand the last two songs, but to me, this makes sense.
Also, I could be 100% wrong, take this comment with a grain of salt. I can't wait till the band releases a summary of the story. :)
I truly love this album
just discovered this band today 3/14/2019.Just what i was looking for ...the right place.
In my honest opinion, this is one of, if not THE best song they have released to date.
Thank you periphery, for being the one band I listen to my friends can get into. I actually got a few to go to a concert with me last weekend. You guys really have nailed music. The new and old! All of it is outstanding! Thanks again.
These guys are incredible. Was super excited for this two-parter and so far I'm not disappointed one bit.
the vocal melodies in this song are fucking stunning and the slow, ambient riffs back them up so perfectly. fucking beautiful
This is the best song ever made.
4:18 same screaming bit as 0:41 in wildfire
"2... 3... 4!.. MISTAKES!"
Theres juggernaut references all over PV it feels like
@@nitroflux_o1040 wildfire is directly a continuation of juggernaut as p5 was originally gonna be the sequel to juggernaut but they decided nah lmao
The riff around 1:42 vaguely reminds me of “The Walk”.
Still don't understand why their fans appear to be so divided when these albums come up.
To me, the Juggernaut albums are brilliant!
5:28 - 6:30 gives me crazy goose bumps.
The beginning chords of this song have begun to haunt my memory and they won't leave.
Congrats!
coming back to these albums just to say without the juggernauts, i wouldnt have had an idea for a game (sadly not in production, it was for school), these albums have inspired me many many times, and i listen to them all through at least once every few months, stranger things just always hits me differently
im a person with a lot of regrets, ive made many mistakes with severe consequences, ive never really been the best person, and im not religious, but sometimes i think, what if thats real? what will happen to me? is all i have done meaning nothing even if im a changed man? thats what omega is, the anxiety of death, the fear of hell, and to me, stranger things is acceptance, and the growth from this fear
i know this comment kinda doesnt mean shit, but its just a comforting song for me, because i get it, i get what theyre telling me
When I got into this album in 2018 I went through a messy breakup and felt guilty for all the things I did. I took a lot of solace in whatever the message is in this album(redemption). So I think I get what you mean, hope you find peace.
You may have a lot of regrets in your life you feel, God knows I do too, but the fact that you keep moving, and KNOW you've made some wrongs means you also know you can be better. Sometimes you have to listen to that voice in your telling you that you're better than what you've done in your past.
Probably my favorite song on Omega! Great job on this one guys so much passion and melody! LOVE IT!
Favorite song from Periphery
Almost every song on this damn album has been my favorite song at some point. I can't wait for this new album. One of the very best bands in existence.
listening to Juggernaut again now, i realize both of this albums are the most underrated, yet the most ambicious and complex ones.
the level of structure and, most of all, *the leitmotivs* , are outstanding. it's very sad to see how both albums were backlashed just because the band grew up and evolved on their composition.
even if my favorite record it's still P2, this has a better writting in all levels.
Not sure there was any backlash...
MAJESTIC AURRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The Only Thing They Fear is You and this is what made me realize there is NO other genre as good as this.
1:15
Some Earth Wind and Fire stuff right there.
Lmfao
Spencer is unreal. Hopefully we get more of the vocals starting @ 1:14 on the next record.
The outro of this song leading into the intro of A Black Minute is beautiful. Alpha to Omega coming full circle.
Perfect ending to an amazing release, Periphery does it again.
Discovered Periphery due to Kitboga. I listened to Omega first, and it's a pretty cool song, but I really liked this one.
Four years and these grooves still stand out
Imagine getting to hear it all with fresh ears. My mind is blown.
Awesome effort on both of these albums! They came out very well!
One of my favourite tracks on this album
These two albums are unreal. great job guys :D glad I preordered for sure. you guys just keep getting better.
I love pretty much everything they do but the mixing and composition of the whole Juggernaut: A&O concept is just flawless. To this day finding new things about these tracks and the parallels between them. Well done fellas.
Big agree, I love how all the songs connect to each other, lyrically or in musical motifs.
It's a banquet of sounds and any good chef cross utilizes ingredients.
What a whole ass vibe this song is. Wow.
7:10 0.0 That's the intro to "A Black Minute"....... What if he was reincarnated into the same cult? DUN DUN DUN DUUNN
That's kind of the gist of it, it's an endless cycle
Agustin Torres I believe the protagonist was reincarnated into the same life in order to correct the wrong they have done in their previous life. Kind of like what we see in the Alpha video, but on a heavier scale.
That is the story, yes. But he is always indoctrinated in the same way in MK Ultra, which is a reference to mind control. He can get reincarnated multiple times, but he can never change anything because he is indoctrinated at a young age.
Whitest White yeah, but every time he is reincarnated, its as the baby that is born in MK ultra and he's without memories, so its just the same life repeating in an endless cycle
Agustin Torres Literally what I just said xD
By the end of that... I was just speechless. Hearing all the passion that went into this all the way to the end. I really think this band will always be my favorite band.
This song is a masterpiece!
Man this song still has to be one of my favorites
1:28 I could listen to this riff in a loop for the rest of my life.
It’s 2019 and this song still takes me on a journey! Still my favorite by them
this song never fails to make my soul happy
If Coheed and Cambria was Djent. Holy shit man. Spencer is a badass.
OH MY GOD YES!!! The Unguided riff at 4:40!!!! If you guys havent heard it, look up "The Unguided" by Jake Bowen!!! SOOOO stoked this riff made it on the album.
one of the best
This song is so good, I could roundhouse kick a semi-truck into a planet and watch it burst into pieces, while headbanging vigorously.
Chase McIntosh I really want to see that now.
Honestly, that's probably one of the best ways to describe a Periphery song.
One of the best periphery songs
It's like passing on a pile of infants while banging my head into a brick wall!
YYYYUUUSSS
over a month this album was out and i still cry at the end. so much emotion
Why is this band so freaking GOOD???!?!?!!? Damn!
God-level song achieved the vocals are outstanding
I can't believe i just noticed this, but there is a transition from the beginning "Wandering below the hadean seal", in contrast to later , "Floating up above the hadean seal". To clearly show that a resolution has been made. Did anyone not notice that like me?
I did actually O.O
***** I think it's more of the fact that he couldn't forgive himself for the sadistic things that he was forced and decided to do. Thats why he committed suicide in Graveless, which I think was because he couldn't forgive himself and just wanted to give himself away. But since his afterlife still brought him conflict, he fought hard against the masochistic side of himself and forgave himself for the things he did in his past life, and he finally let it go. In doing so he purified his soul so he was able to reincarnate. He was never a particularly bad person, it was because of the amount of force and influence that was brought upon him by the people of the cult that caused him to do bad things. At the beginning of Stranger Things, it explains that a little bit. "Heavens see that this man once had value among all the golden. But eccentric revisions in life brought on decay". I'm not completely sure, but I think I have a clear idea of what is going on.
What about the end? The last line to this song is This skeletal mask brings a demon of the day. I kinda thought it meant that he was reborn but in the same way as before doomed to relive his nightmare over and over. That's why this song goes to perfectly into A Black Minute. It restarts, and it all happens again and again. Fucking love this album. Gives me chills.
also realize what the hadean era was - the very beginning of earth in its catastrophic, hellish formation ... hence the name "hadean" or derived from "hades"
its like going back before the earth and restarting, super cool reference spencer threw in there... love it
Cheo Samad I knew something was up with that, because i noticed the same interlude. But my theory was that multiple people had to go through this cycle like in the omega artwork. But I like your theory better.
So much ambiance and groove packed into one song, and what takes it even further is Sponce's absolutely stellar performance!
1:15 is tops
Still one of the best songs
They seriously couldn't have ended the album any better. Absolute masterpiece.
This album is sooo dense much excite for wednesday when they come to town
My favourite album from them. Ever
If you guys ever stop making music my heart would stop because you guys are my life source
