- In this video, Dr. May reviews our various adaptations to perceived life threatening or dangerous situations. These include immobile responses (freeze, fold, "fog," faint, feign death, fragment) and mobile responses (fight, flight/flee, find, fawn). She also discusses how we respond when we perceive that we are safe (feel, freedom, food, fun, friends). (As you can see, there was a sale on "Fs"!)

Wow! Been in therapy for about 4 decades. This helped me finally "get it". Been stuck in the red zone.
Glad to hear! If you want to learn even more, I have another video from my Sensorimotor Psychotherapy series called something like “neuroception and your window of tolerance” which also includes some exercises related to understanding and managing survival responses.
This is a great way to present these complicated topics! Thank you for the videos - they are extremely helpful.
Excellent
Dr. Jennifer May, Ph.D., where are you located? Do you hold online groups?
I'm in NY. Unfortunately, I don't provide online groups; just the videos.
