Petrucci looks like he's ready to take over Middle Earth with his army of Uruk-Hai.
This comment is funnier than it has any right to be👍
He's a goddamn barbarian
He looks like Saruman's younger, more athletic brother
@@RohannvanRensburg Exactly :D
There'll be no dawn... for men
Yeah!! I was on MetalSucks John Petrucci watches fan youtube cover part1, and I was also on part2!
Congrats bro! You did it again!
You deserve it, my friend!
You deserve it more than anyone!
I subscribed to your channel
Great job!
"He could be my stunt double."
That's some high praise from the guitar god himself.
Can't wait to see you live again Mr. Petrucci.
That praise from the god himself, make it more meaningful
He's got the guitar part down, now he needs to start working on his beard.
yes pity that guy video is sped up!! look at his mouth and face , it moves in a weird way!
Your playing is amazing, Carlos! We can all see the control, the dedication and the precision in your playing. Well deserved kudos for all of your care and hard work.
@@DanielVerberne That's not me lol. I wish. Just pointing out what an amazing compliment that is for the person doing the cover.
it's an honor for us to get a reaction from the legendary guitarist on the universe, John Petrucci himself, we are your fans from Indonesia. And thanks to MetalSuck for featuring our video on your Channel 🤟🤟🤟

He’s awful
@@WillColaneri Get bent, he's the only guy who can capture the same nuance Petrucci can
@@WillColaneri You can troll better than that.
@@WillColaneri Hey brasileiro, vê lá o que falas . A cintia colanerie é muito fixe! LOL

Thanks for the feature! ❤️
Your videos are killer, and I could admire your technique all day. Thrilled to see you get this exposure.
Your one of the best.
you deserved it man
Dude I'm a huge fan of your playing. You and max ostro are da future of guitar playing!
Way to go Alain !!
I like how sometimes he says “ohh yea, those licks…. those sweeps are crazy”, dude, YOU MADE THOSE PARTS!!!
I CAN'T BELIEVE HE WATCHED US PLAY HOLY SHIT.... Thanks so much John for checking out our medley, even though it was at Berklee over 9 years ago now sheesh!
Haha! Great. You guys nailed it
Great work, Samuel! That must be an incredible feeling!
Part 1:
"Maybe I gotta make stuff harder"
Part 2:
"Is that how it goes?
- John Petrucci a year after.
Thanks for the shoutout guys ❤️
The best cover is yours
Your playing is impeccable! God damn!
Man your technique blew my mind, props to you for real!
Flawless playing, man!
Bella pe' Stefano ✌️
So honoured to be featured here!
You deserve it, good job man!
Brilliant Rahul congratulations
1:19 "Is that how it goes?"
Even god himself often forgets his creation
Too busy looking at the fretboard to see what Myung is doing!
Bass player
To be fair, he's got a lot of creations
What a wise-man, what a gentle soul, what an authentic dude.
John taught himself the guitar as a teenager before there were tabs and tutorials. In another video he described how he had to figure out on his own what a bend was. The proliferation of musical knowledge around the world must make him very happy.
3:49 Can you imagine that? Petrucci saying that you have "nice technique, perfect!" about you covering one of his songs? That's awesome! Congratulations Stefano!
The first two are Indonesian Band 🇮🇩
It must be dream come true for them 👍👍
Thanks John and Metalsucks for your reaction 😍😍😍
😍😍 my band 🎸🎸
👍😍
Going to your channel now and subbing and liking everything.
😍🎸🎸🎸🤟🔥🔥
Bravo dcamils....🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
It's such a honor. Thank you so much sir!
My favorite guitar of all time is the Old Ibanez JPM models... And John needs to realize yes there's a lot of talented youngsters and oldsters out there but as we all can see.. so many are so heavily influenced by John and DT. Which has to be a very cool feeling.
It's great to see so many talented players as well. I hope, and do have much hope, for great new music stuff coming in the future years. Keep on playing :D
Such an awesome thing to have Petrucci in checking out the fans and our musical offerings! Such a humble guy given the sheer influence he's had on so many of us!
To have John whatch a video of you and say "Great Job", must feel soooo good!!!
Yess babe Alain ibrahim is one of the rising stars! U gotta see more of his videos!
so cool that John listens to and appreciates all the young talent playing his music with no sign of "i.m want this taken down this my stuff you can't play it on youtube."
Hats off to all the performers and especially to John Petrucci for bringing us this.
The amount of passion and talent displayed here from everybody is just insane. Kinda reminds you that there still is that part of people and the world that isn't just overall terrible.
I swear this brilliant man has the most talented fans out there.
We need a part 3! I've seen some amazing John Pertucci and Dream Theater covers that I've not seen him react to yet, and I'd love to hear his opinion of them 😀
Every single person in this video is amazing. Kudos.
I love how he is always so positive about coverbands and interpretations.
Finally Part 2!!
John You are a wonderful human Being and Your Latest album is a really emotion ride.
Absolutely amazing cover works by all those people, no doubt whatsoever. However, there is a distinct difference between "writing" that stuff, and "playing" that stuff.
Petrucci is and always has been, incredibly humble, which is what makes the guy so likable. As with all the band members of Dream Theater. Cool video though, to see him give recognition to those great covers.
All renditions are great.... Shout-out to the great bands and musicians in this video.
The reaction I was really hoping to see was Andre Nieri's version of Another Day solo.
He's so incredibly nice and complimentary... Just wonderful to hear such an icon being so decent to others. Cannot like this enough.
Legend says Alain Ibrahim already covered John Petrucci's next album
Wow.... i need to practice more. It's so cool and amazing to see all these young people inspired by the Guru himself, John Petrucci!
His such a Great Person, so calm and wise....
I love hearing “from Dream Theater and Liquid Tension Experiment”
This is so cool! What a privilege to be chosen!
That's what a real musician and guitar master like John do.... recognize the work from other musicians, even though they are playing cover of his works masterpieces. Very good for him, a humble gesture from a great guitar player.
JP seems like a really awesome dude! I hope to meet him one day
Love u John !!! You are the greatest !!
Thanks John for checking out our guitarist Sam! We all met at Berklee as well so it means a lot :)
That's amazing! Would love hear from the master himself.
watching him react to the different instrumentation was the best. That must be a experience.
And seeing 16 year old's play like you did in your 20's & 30's....
I felt so much happiness when he said, "my old Ibanez signature model"
JP is definitely the coolest and down on earth guy out there.
Love his style of play. Any solo music.
Dream Teather a los q amamos el metal progresivo nos mostro tantas facetas de la música y arreglos tremendo q jamás se van a olvidar , son una leyenda viviente. gracias por la música
0:31 Untethered Angel in standard E tuning sounds really cool
The talent now are just crazy - when i grew up playing, we had no youtube/videoes to learning from. It was so hard to learn back then what they now just can find now in seconds.
Major props for featuring Daisuke Kurosawa's cover! Trivia: He used to be one of the in-house artists in the GuitarFreaks & Drummania series.
You change the world John....... Thank's.......
JP looking like an extra for a Bible movie
I was hoping for a reaction to a bad one or two, but these were all amazing!
"There was a time when Saruman would walk in my woods. But now he has a mind of metal"
Astonishing in background.
D'Camils band ❤️❤️❤️ yuhuuuuu akhirnya 🤘🤘🤘🤘...
John Petrucci is a living legend !!!🤘
Amazing John 😍
Wait for part 3
Such a nice guy ❤️
Nice of Petrucci's beard to come by and say hello. I guess the rest of him was pretty cool too.
Andre Nieri playing "Another Day" on his Shur Telecaster with and w/o a pick. PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AT THIS! It is just amazing!
Thanks John!
Today, I uploaded a guitar cover of The Count Of Tuscany to a backing track of the original song, and it got instantly blocked worldwide, and I am completely shattered. It was the biggest personal project I've done, spanning hours of planning, months of practice routines, multiple on location film days, purchasing gear, multiple days tracking, multiple days editing. I dont care about monetization, just a fan wanting to pay tribute to one of my favourite bands and a songs so close to heart...
I hope I can somehow procure a mechanical license, although I'm not sure if its possible considering parts of the original track are in it.
Absolutely shattered :'(
He needs to do more of these! Petrucci step your game up lol 😝
The guys doing the folky rendition of Acid Rain are called Bryant’s Band. I have everything they ever recorded and their music is brilliant.
Petrucci seems like such a cool man. If love to meet him one day... Cheers
1:15 Yes that is how the bass part goes
Thanks for watching my Universal Mind video!⚡️
U are the best mate
Sick cover dude
Yall needed to show him WAY more of Alain; dude is 11/10 on everything,
This guy with Ibanez JPM performed on Stream Of Consciousness contest CD back to 2003-rd Hell yes!
4:00 best compliment
I'd love to watch the full reaction to Alain's cover.
Great covers, folks! Also, not sure why, but it seems that year after year John is slowly turning into the prog metal version of a super pumped Gandalf.
The video was so short just a blink of an eye and the video is finished
I just can play "State of Grace" - LTE Petrucci play so fast.... and by the way i miss the ibanez floyd rose tone. Greetings from El Salvador !!! keep on rocking !!!
best cover ever done for dt is andressa mouxi spirit carries on... next level
I got one of your signature guiter .jpm2...bought it 30 years ago ..god im old ...lol...yeah theres alot of talent out there ..
Whenever I see John talking like this, has a striking resemblance to the way Chuck used to talk.
"This guy could be my stunt double." I would shit if that were me. Now THAT'S a compliment folks.
3:08
Evan Bradley: oh haven't they
1:21 Petrucci might have recognized Daisuke Kurosawa. Way back in 2003, Dream Theater chose his composition for the Stream of Consciousness songwriting contest as a finalist, and it appeared on the album they released of the top submissions: _"Stream of Consciousness: Dream Theater Songwriting Contest Winners"_.
U guys should've including alip_ba_ta fingerstyle guitar cover of another day..
But much appreciated for this vids!
So cool to see john petrucci reaction to this stuff
Best guitarist 👍👍
I'd like to give a quick recommendation to Mirko Piconese's independent acoustic cover of Glasgow Kiss. It sounds absolutely phenomenal.
When John Petrucci is praising your guitar playing technique you know you're doing something right.
I love seeing those Picasso JPMs.
I wonder if MetalSucks got their name from the old cheekily named "Guitars Suck" videos that used to be on early UA-cam and Google Video, which itself was a reference to the Bumblefoot song of the same title (meant to be a sarcastic title, of course, just like MetalSucks.)
And here I am still struggling with Glasgow Kiss
nice to see Alain Ibrahim here !!
I love so much when he said about the old friends portnoy and maybe he will talk about kevin sometimes 💕
Got to make a DT cover and hope JP himself reacts!
he's so nice and cool
Oh man, this was way shorter than part 1, but extremely fun nonetheless.
Wish ya'll extended the video a little for more trucci reaction.
The Picasso Ibby is legendary
luv it ! come to Korea again John.. ㅠ_ㅠ more of my guitars waiting for thy honorable autographzz
I want to see him review Giuseppe Maria Di Stefano's guitar cover of the octavarium keyboard solo
Jesus Petrucci returns
Owen Davey does a couple of nice DT covers, 15 years old, plays all the instruments himself, and he's Canadian ;)
