When I make this, I use about 1/3 nuts to 2/3 oat ratio, then I add dried fruits, cacao, cinamon, coffee and seeds.
Make sure to drizzle some honey over the oats and nuts when baking them in the oven, so you get a bit of a crispy thing going on them.

You need to research how much sugar is in dried fruit. It’s loaded with sugar carbs.

@@Ann-bm5qg Does it matter that there's some fast absorbing carbs in this meal? Dried Fruits are tasty.

I love all the attention you are giving to good old breakfast lately, since I am definetly one of those people who tends to skip it regularly, but with this for when i'm in a hurry and the oats with blueberry recipe for when i have time, I might just be able to take back control over my morning eating habits. 10/10

my breakfasts the easiest thing in the world, and you do it the night before so theres no rush on a morning, oats in a bowl, pour in milk (non dairy for me, can't hack the stuff), leave in the fridge overnight, the oats suck up the milk and make a great oatmeal, chop in a banana and stick some honey and cinnamon in, tastes amazing and you can put anything in it

Mathias Ruud usually a bit more milk than oats, so it looks a bit too watery, it should then come out perfect as the oats absorb all the excess milk

I do the same..I leave over night my oats in water + coconut flour ,and in the mornings I put bananas, cinnamon, chia seeds some nuts or dry fruits ,it depends what I have that day in my kitchen,IT'S SO DELICIOUS !!!

Jamie, I just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying your daily vlogs. I had an epiphany a couple of months ago and started eating healthily, and I've surprised myself with how much I'm enjoying it. It's wonderful to see a mainstream chef promoting the benefits of super foods. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your future videos.

This is such a fantastic idea jamie. I can't wait to try it. Cereal has become sugar in a bowl and kids don't benefit from that. I have lost 43lbs just by making changes in everything in my life. Food intake especially was something I needed to change. Food controlled my life and I took control back. Thanks for making health food fun and exciting again. Much love from Me. :)

This is just what ive been looking for Jamie! I jsut made a Musli the other day, With almost the exact same things in it, just only raisins for the dried fruit. And sunflower seeds. But i just mixed it up, and eat it with milk. But this looks veeeery nice! Its simple, can be very cheap, and requires zero effort in the morninig! Perfect Student Breakfast!

Ever since I watched your sugar rush documentary, I 'almost' completely stop buying sugary drinks, soda, cereals, and so on (I'm still working on it though). Your documentary is life-changing! I didn't fully realize there is much added sugar on many daily products.
Granola dust is a brilliant idea! I usually have oatmeal, milk, and some honey for breakfast :D

Love this recipe! I am joyfully eating this every morning. And to be honest I love it all blended together, than eating muesli-like breakfast. The flavours are well combined and textures do affect how we taste food. Now even my grandma who cant chew much can eat this :)
I think granola dust is also a great alternative for cheesecake base (those that require crushed biscuits and butter), i think it will give loads of different flavours and take the dessert to another level. Use this as healthy sprinkles on cupcake may work as well!

I will make this with the boys. I can onyl hope that this will work. I already mix the unsweeted Cerials with the unhealthy ones so if the eat them it's not that horrible. Got down to 1 part sugar and 4 parts unsweated but was not able to get them to eat muesli. Will make this with Spelt and Dates and Raisins, Walnuts and Almonds this should make it a choc nutty dust with a light caramel flavor from the Dates. I really have high hopes for this so thank you for sharing.

Erik Gansevles OK. Jamie Oliver knows very little about nutrition, this is obvious if you were to watch his videos or read his books. He's put bacon in a book about super foods.
He's a businessman who is interested in selling books/TV shows not informing the public about real nutrition.

My fave breakfast right now are egg muffins with flax and hemp seeds and some cheese and green onions. I can make a batch on Sunday and then take them with me in the car on the way to work this way if I oversleep I can still eat. I really wish people would write up more to go recipes that are easy to eat in the car. Sure smoothies work, but they can get boring after awhile something about just drinking your food all the time that gets depressing.
