Take close note on how one of the greatest chefs in the world pours the "cereal" before the milk.
This entire discussion loses its legitimation, if you think about the milk splashing all over the place when dropping the granola into the bowl of milk. Its just dumb and makes no sense. Theres only one way and its cereal first, then milk
Who would first add milk before cereal?
There used to be arguments about it on instagram, it's ridiculous
@@syifams i do. I don't like my cereal soggy so I only ever add bits of cereal, eat it and then put in some more

Granola by Gordon
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Author Gordon Ramsay
Ingredients
200 g honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
300 g rolled oats
100 g puffed rice
100 g natural almonds
75 g pumpkin seeds
75 g sunflower seeds
50 g linseed
50 g raisins
50 g cranberries
Instructions
Melt the honey and vanilla together, either in microwave or on a stove-top.
Mix the oats, rice, nuts and seeds together.
Pour honey over oats mixture and mix well.
Place in a shallow baking tray and smooth out into a thin layer. Bake for 25-30 mins at 180C, stirring occasionally to ensure it doesn't burn.
Remove from oven, and stir in dried fruit.
Store in a sealed container.
Wheat bran also
Store in fridge or pantry ?
@@tc9383 Pantry should be fine.
Thanks for posting That. The video didn't say what temp to set the oven, 180 sounds about right.

Did he really use olive oil?
@@harsangeetsidhu9190 I didnt ser that either
@@harsangeetsidhu9190 he only use honey and vanilla bean
Even in the recap, no mention of oven temperature... I'm guessing 300-325°F (150-160°C).
I’m confused. When do you add the olive oil?
What you didnt see was the bottom of the pot he heated the honey in-why, you may ask? Easy enough, he was frying it in olive oil.
Right after the seasoning
I make it great with no oil. It doesn’t need it and who needs the calories.
Right after the touch of buttah obviously
The olive oil helps crunch it up
Thank you Chef Ramsey! I just put mine in the oven to bake, I can't wait to taste it. I put honey, a bag of assorted trail mix (cranberries, raisins, cashews, almonds) Irish oats, regular oatmeal and quinoa seeds! WOOO!!! Thanks again Chef Ramsey, you're the best!!!!

I really wish he would include recipes with his videos. I really want to make this but I don't know what the proportions are. He only mentioned the amount of honey and the cook time.
Just eye ball it😂
Another good one: 4 cups organic oatmeal, 1.5 cups sliced Almonds & crushed Pecans. In a separate container- 1/3 cup raw honey, 1/3 cup California olive oil, 1/8 teaspoon of sea salt and 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla. Stir the liquids and salt, then pour it into the oats and nuts container. After mixing, put it on a pan and bake for 33-35 minutes at 300 degrees, stirring it every 11-12 minutes to prevent over toasting. Often I'll add unsweetened shredded coconut to the last 11-12 minutes of baking for variety. Lasts 2+ weeks.
Thank you for stating the temperature in the oven.
Wish he would mention the gas mark on the oven, he always says how long he puts it in for, but never at what temperature
Love how he knows his actions with precision. You feel the professionnalisme. Love the visual...just amazing!!
Please, do you know what is puff rice in arabic?

When are you going on Hot Ones?!?!?!
He's a bitch. Can't handle spice. But the gates of hell ain't shit to him.

Hello there
He did itttt omggg
Granola, puff rice, wheat bran, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, peeled almonds, dried berries goji berries
Oats, honey, flaxseed (aka linseed)
And salt
I come hear everytime to see him cook and listen to his voice. So soothing🌊
Ramsay: "the staple, of a granola.."
My dumb ass brain: "is from office depot or staples?"
Me: "too much Ramsay for too many hours"
Ground flax seed is great too ands lots of omega 3-6-9 and bulk.
Lovely - thanks Gordon. So much better when you are IN these, not just narrating them.
I love seeing Hot Ones fans in the comments, that being said Gordon go to Hot Ones

With enough hot ones comments he has to be at least considering it right

@@nachojr99 duh, there is a team that runs the channel. he doesn't have anything to do with it. Doesn't change the fact that if the comments is flooded with hot ones that someone from that team will see it who is directly in relation with ramsey. Word spreads

Hi Gordon! Bake for 25-30 minutes at what temperature please?
Looks yummy. On a different note, I am always amazed at the staging of his place. I mean, why the heck does he need half a supermarkets produce in the background, when he just makes granola?
Was wondering the same 😂Finally someone said it 🎉🎉
Love this recipe! Simple yet packed with goodness! Thank you Gordon!
May you give us the measurement of each ingredient of the recipe? This recipe looks so yummy and tasty.
Wouldn't Hot Ones be a great interview for you?! I'd love to see you there and picking apart the sauces! If Alton Brown could do it, you'll be amazing! #goonhotones
Some notes on the recipe below. The oven temperature needs to be 150C, not 180C. It will burn at that temperature, or at least go very dark brown. I bake for 15 minutes, stir then bake for another 15 minutes. I also mix 2 tablespoons of butter and melt together with the honey to pour over the mixture. You don't need to add puffed rice - any crunchy cereal will do. I also use a mixture of sliced almonds and walnuts. Also, it will be a lot more crunchy if you leave it to cool after baking than eating it right off the bat after baking. Tastes awesome and much cheaper than to buy!
Are 200g of honey with 2tbsp of melted butter enough for 500g of oats? I think 200g of honey for 300g of oats is too much, but i don't how it really is. Moreover, it makes the granola much more expensive food. Could i use less honey?
@@radomirpolotsky5594 Yes, that's what I use and it comes out nice and crunchy, but sure, you could try less honey, maybe even substitute it with some melted raw sugar. I'd be interested to hear how you go and whether it being less sweet as a result would taste better.
@@LoressaClisby Thank you for your recipe modification. This latest batch is the best granola I've made to date. Thank you!
@@dancairns318 No worries. Yes, it's really good. I've been adding halved macadamia nuts lately - soooo crunchy!

I can listen to him talk all day. Long.

1 fresh vanilla pod
Oats
Puffed rice
Wheat bran
Pumpkin seeds
sunflower seeds
linseed
Almonds
Pinch of salt
Cranberries
Goji Berries
When he said he was going to season the granola I almost heard: salt! pepper! bake!
i can't stop watching your videos!
I like my granola more clumpy. Needs more honey.
This channel isnt run or even looked at by Gordon himself. He has a whole team. Crew films him cooking for a day and they upload and manage his channel.
I tried it at home, excellent recipe👌🏻
You are the best chef 👩🍳 straight from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 love
First time I ever heard "Puffed Rice" and "Delicious" in the same sentence. Last person I expected to hear it from.
You inspire to be a cook. I love this recipe.
My recipe:
Buy a box of granola from the supermarket.
But plastic :(
Can't believe i am disagreeing with such a heavyweight in cuisine, but you should never heat honey above around 40°C as it turns into a toxic substance. It simply wasn't designed to be at that temperature. Look it up. If you love honey, just add it right before you eat it.

Hey Ramsay what do you think about pineapple on a pizza
He has actually eaten it before, and it is out on UA-cam

Wait is Ramsay actually recording these videos or are they taken from his tv series
The video of him trying it:

I put it on pizza - drained of its syrup and rinsed. It has the reverse effect of salt on a sweet dish (like this granola). It gives you a little sweet tang - lovely on a pizza. I can't stand pineapple pizza snobs!
Okay now that is something I would love to have for breakfast.
