I personally work in such an environment as a sales rep. It’s crazy the amount of product we move and who we ship stuff to. Now don’t get it twisted your not going to land on a Jdm gold mine or old school muscle car parts. But for newer late model stuff the inventory is endless.
If you add the cost of removing the part, cleaning it, storing it in a specific place and the staff that is in charge of handling it.. In the end, the cost of that used part is almost the same as that of a rebuilt/refurbished one sold at any auto part store.
Great video and good looking out because I was gonna take a chance on a junk yard in Dallas and buy an engine but the video you’ve shown shows how they really clean it up and properly store it and I like how they put it pallets and ship it to you…They warehouse and how they run their business is so organized
I just checked out their website. I can’t believe the prices. I need an engine and I don’t know if I need to get the engine module so I have to wait to call them on Monday to get more information. Thanks for this video it’s so helpful to me as a woman who didn’t know what to do about buying a car engine. ❤
@@him1603 just your local junk yards I don't know where you're from but here in South Florida LKQ owns most of them but in the you pull and pay yards you never know what you're going to get when you ordered directly from LKQ you're getting auction but products much better I know exactly what happened to them and how they happened miles better product but I had to say your local junkyard or look online maybe offer up or marketplace
Man, I wish I had the time and resources to know what to go with. Spun rod bearing on a 3.8L Jeep. Sounds more common than I knew. Just not a lot out there.
lkq, it's a monopoly they wanted to get rid of all the junkyard but failed, but if you need an engine that a junkyard doesn't have, by all means, go for it
So we have an LKQ Junkyard here in Austin. But I don't believe that we have a facility like this huge one that you were at. Is that like the main facility where you routed to when you call the 1-800 number or what? Because I'm looking for a replacement engine for a Jeep Renegade but I know that the junkyard here in Austin never has any Renegades it just doesn't ever have any Renegades so I'm going to have to get it from somewhere else. Would this be the place this Phoenix location? Let me know
Man I was all hyped to see what’s good then you open up with LKQ the highest prices in the biz smh……I guess when you UA-cam rich overpriced shit don’t matter
Lkq's prices are outrageous, support a local junkyard if you can.
I got a warranty for parts and Labor Day
we need a hoodie and a pull over sweater added to the carmaspeed shop
Tank shirts too!
i would cop one immediately
I like seeing Randall get more air time at the end of this video. You can tell he’s into this motor build. Have fun!
Here I am wearing my carmaspeed SnapBack and watching this on break. Absolutely love your channel. Keep up the good work! 🙏🏽❤️
honestly that is pretty impressive.
I use to work at lkq they literally have everything

This is cool af. I was glued to the tv the entire video

Yup. LKQ is expensive. I rather save money by doing the removal myself at U-Pull & Pay.

Really good information for my first time seeing one of your videos. I signed up keep'em coming!!
Such a cool process, I never thought it would be so interesting! Love the video!
LKQ has good stuff and good warranties but they are by far the most expensive junkyard out there
Any other options? For engines ?

woha this video is so cool! did not even know that junkyards have that much of inventory, really interesting!!
LKQ is to expensive and now they don’t include the intake.
That red car at 5:53…. That should buff right out.
I live in the Phoenix area as well. Motor went out in my MC Miata. I'm looking at trying to put a 2.5 L ecotec/duratec In the Miata.
Excellent video. I found lots of parts online at Ohio locations. Thank you.
Ooh that’s fun to know LKQ is known as Euro Car Parts across the pond

Just not a lot out there.
If you don’t mind me asking how much did you pay for that 5.3
Junk yard engines are 249$ with 49$ core charge so around 300ish after taxes take 400 to the junk yard just in case
Wicked video Cam. Extremely well done! Keep it up boys
that place is the definition of a logistical nightmare, yet somehow theyve figured it out. crazy
s14 subframe swap it trusts me and just put gktech suspension and your good and it would ride better for drifting
Do you plan on finishing this series? I’d love to see the rebuild after you sent it to the machine shop.
mad clutch i live in phx boutta do an s197 coyote swap🧘🏽♂️
13:06 "This is the way" Mandalorian fan I see

What’s the best full car scanner in your opinion
I LOVE IT!!!!! LKQ!!!!
All im thinking is, “buy all the ls engines from that warehouse”
What about rattle snakes out in that yard
How much was the 5.3?
Looking for a Chrysler 200 2013 engine 2.4l for a 6A/M transmission.... If anyone have any valuable info pls help... My car have been doe for 2 years
donut has proven the even a chevy silverado engine can give power
Heaven looks like
Work ptsd
Yo I’m here
Where do you get your 93 octane gas for the stage 2 GTI?
You can run 91 no problem with that tune. You will make slightly less power but it won’t hurt the engine
@@CameronAlford i have a Mk6, does it also apply for it?
Yes
If it’s unitronic I am 100% positive
@@CameronAlford thanks.

Just don’t buy from copart. I have a Dmv license and can bid on their auctions. Their cars are total junk. Should be scrapped.
Can a mustang seat front and back fit into a crown vic??
Do you ship in Canada?
Lol I work at lkq in Columbus Ohio
