  • Today we head to Pull A Part in Cleveland, OH to remove the K24 engine from a Honda Accord with basic tools. The K24 swap is for my boat... I explain it all in the video!

    next time, consider dropping the engine method. it's easier and much quicker. disconnect the harness, remove the steering shaft (there is a little screw under the steering wheel area that will disconnect the shaft), shifter cabes, then the shock nuts... then lastly, the cradle bolts. the whole subassy drops out (dirve axles, shocks, engine, tranny, etc). im sure i missed a couple things, but you get the idea.

    The honda accords have the "eco" k24 with only around 160 hp, meaning no 3 lobes on both the intake and exhaust camshafts. You have to look for the 2004 to 2008 tsx if you want true vtec and stock 190 to 200 plus hp. Unless you guys are planning on switching the cylinder head for a better flowing one like a k20a2 or a rbb stamped k24a

    K24 in a boat. I GOTTA see that. Anyway, I also pulled a K24 (from a TSX) at pull a part without even expecting to do so that day. No tool prep and still managed to get it out. They're pretty easy to pull mostly!..

    was the seatbelt that yall used for that motor out of the Accord or a different car? from what I've seen the seat bet tek is the most common so far.
