Finally someone who explains every single detail I love it , I think I can speak for most teens who wanna get into this stuff that you push our confidence to actually get more into this thank you 🙏🏽
That’s what it’s all about. Appreciate you Daniel🙏🏻
Yes this exactly ‼️
🤩 this comment 👌 couldn’t agree more man
Facts here
yep, took the words outta my mouth
17 yrs old rn and I want to be a engine rebuilder I’m getting a Ls 5.3 as my first project to put into my 00’ fbody Camaro
i love the white floor , the bear feet with flip flops , the blacks oils dripping ...with a nice music.. this is art
Haha I rebuilt my m113 engine in flops & socks 🤙
Wow, you have bear feet?! Don't your claws tend to cut up your socks and shoes and scratch the floors?
FINALLY someone can simply explain things the right way. No bs no messing around. Just straight to the point. Keep making videos like this, I will stay subscribed.
First time watching your channel and I totally dig it. No loud personality, no laughing at your own stupid jokes like a lot of UA-camrs nowadays…just straight forward and to the point. 🤙🏽
Now I only need the rebuild video can’t wait finally someone who explains it step by step
I appreciate you, guy on the internet
Randall Pullen… Pullen that dipstick out😂 Randall is the man!
Lmao you already know!
My respect for Randall after ripping a whole motor apart in sandals 📈📈
Ill be keeping an eye out for those ST tags. 😜
Yk people would pay trade schools thousands for in depth knowledge on this stuff when a guy can take one apart and show the whole world for free. Thank you so much for this video. Every car guy wishes they had an engine or a transmission to dissect and learn abt and its only made possible with an in depth video like this also showing how to tear it down properly aswell.
Maybe it was out of an overabundance of caution, but I was taught to take aluminum heads, bolts from intakes into aluminum heads, etc... off in a step-down sequence the opposite of what was done to torque tighten them down. Walking them all off a little at a time to ensure the aluminum does not warp due to uneven clamping pressure during the removal. It might be a little more work but it comes with a lot of peace of mind.
And shoutout Randall lol great addition to the channel
Straight to the POINT!! and video quality is perfect. I end up stripping down my 5.3 and now putting back together. Now this is the PREFECT video to kno where my bolts go😅
I love how cinematic your videos are, love your content dream to have a shop like you one day bro
I was thinking "man I didn't know you could use that much force on the dipstick. I would think you would break it. " well.... lol
Best LS rebuild video on UA-cam hands down, thank you so much!!
Sweet glad you guys are doing an LS
Ohhh hell yeah this series is gonna be awesome!!!
Mannn makes it look so easy, the commentary over the teardown is perfect
That was very very satisfying to watch too....
Thanks for the time and effort you put on theses videos for us boss
Even if I 'm looking to find rebuild a junk yard 351W , just by listening to your introduction to this video, made me a subscriber. I saw myself among those you enumerated. Thank you for posting!
This is exactly what I want to see! Start-to-finish racecar.
Right I was saying the same thing now this one of the great 👍👍👍👍 one if u ask me and super super helpful thanks man great walk thru video a hundred thumbs up
Can’t wait for this process🤙🤙🤙
This is just wonderful, thank you for this😭
Excellent video getting all the details 👏
Now this is going to help me build my project charger 💯 let’s go
I just got a free 5.3 out of a 2004 Chevy Silverado it had weird sound. It’s gonna be my first engine rebuild this helped me a lot thanks.
Terrific job, thanks!
Love the content man keep it up !💯🔥
This was great, did I miss the "Relaxing Reassembly Process" video? That would be a good follow up video. 😉
This is beautiful
I am a fan of this guys good stuff
Just subscribed to the channel perfect explanation and perfect video overall looking forward to ls swapping my c10 on my own and really wanted to tackle the whole engine rebuild !! Thanks !!
This Video is amazing thanks man
watching this shit was therapeutic
This Guy don't sleep 🔥
When that dipstick broke off, I felt that in my soul. My tip was lost, and found in the oil pan. It was DoA however. Bad exhaust valve.
Thanks so much man
Can you make a video putting it back together 😂🙏 most straight to the point video I’ve seen 👌
Bro you are goated 🐐 thank you for explaining everything!!!!
The most underrated UA-cam ever!! Keep up the great videos man!! Here in mesa az hope to be able to meet you at a meet or something one day!
this do be relaxing tho
incredible video, full marks
Please make a GLI jet tag!! Keep up the sick vids man, only a matter of time before the channel blows up
Very informative
Love this, guy tool the time to tell us what bolts and what size and all. Thank you.
Should note that if you are re using crank and pistons, they need to be labeled/numbered to be installed in the same cylinders. They are balanced to each other and need to be reinstalled in the same locations. My friend tore 3 motors apart and labeled nothing, so he has 3 piles of useless pistons
Auto subscribe. Couldn't ask for a better video
Love the video, hate the flip flops 🤣
Any more content doing a clean up and rebuild ?😋
Love the OSHA approved steel toe flip flops lol
Awesome video thank you is there a part 2 ???
Yo when is the other parts coming out?
great video. did you do a part 2? i cant find it. thanks again
I really hope you keep your old wrx donor shell and turn it into a track car 🔥
That’s the plan 🤘🏼
Oh hey! you are in Phoenix? I have a 6.0 L96 Silverado I'm working on and was looking for tear down videos to prepare myself for the inevitable rebuild and stumbled on yours as it was the first recommendation. I'm in Phoenix as well.
its a good vedio but where the second part mate ?!!?!?!?!!!!
Where did you get that valve train organizer thing? 😅 Dope video btw! 💯
Is there a PART 2???
What happened to the rest of the 5.3L build? I don't see the videos.
Where’s part2?
Could do without the muzak. But thanks for the tool references. I like the organizers.
Couldn’t help but notice you had the valve train storage tray with the “ back “ indication at the front of the engine. This could be problematic if you intend to reuse. Valve train would be totally out of order not to mention switching sides.
This is a lot more involved than the old engines from the sixties. This video is an eye opener for an old timer!
Not really.
Electronics aside, they are fairly similar
Hello cameron 🤙🤙
New sub here
Wearing flip flops or "thongs" while tearing down an engine on a harbor freight stand is the bravest thing I've ever seen lol
I have used a stand just like this to tear down and assemble small and big block Mopars, Chevys, and Ford FE motors for 40+ years. Same stand. Never an issue. An all iron big block Chevy or 440 Mopar is heavy. These stands are stronger than they look. Seriously since 1979 or 80, same stand.
How much does a hot tank, bore, and machining run where you are? And what’s your nearest big city?
Damn so much for the episode of cleaning the floor lol
We did this before that luckily lol
Good idea cause i was gonna say it’s gonna need a good scrubbing again after all that dirt and oil got all over the place but I appreciate the reply man I’m a big supporter your the only you tuber iv followed this long I love your videos and can’t wait to see how the WRC turns out keep up the good work!
Are the pistons the compress rod or clips for 04 Tahoe LS
**Totally drops pushrod
*puts back in tray without a care 😂
😂 I was worried until I remembered that the whole valve train is being replaced with new components
@@Randallpullen123 😂oh I see hahaha
Do u happen to do rebuilds for ppl like as a service ? I want to do this to my 04 Yukon 5.3 but I’m not that mechanically inclined. Let alone have the proper tools to pull it and do it even tho I would love to
That LKQ only in Cali any in AZ?
So if I took off the intake manifold. Could I just put it straight back on? Any moving parts I need to be worried about?
I have an 07 Silverado that had a little fire in the engine and hoping to fix everything myself but it's a little more than I've ever done. But it's just sitting there so if I screw up it's not that big of a deal
So, you just drove a screwdriver between the block and main cap? Thanks for just glossing over that. Were you worried about damaging the mating sufaces?
I hope you are getting that revenue because I’ve gotten like 9 ads already and I’m barely half way through the vid
Yessir thanks
@@CameronAlford we got u
Hey man what's up I'm in the Phoenix area and just putting this out there if you want more content for your channel I have a car and been waiting to do a 5.3 swap for 3 years but I dont have any where to do that because I live apartment idk maybe meet up and I could bring it over and swap it just an idea love the channel keep pumping the good content
So you want all the work done for free??
Hey Cameron awesome vid! I’m sure you’ll mention it in the next vid but what kinda price would you be looking at for cylinder boring and deck resurfacing?
We have yet to find what machine shop that we’re gonna take this motor to but we will make sure to get that info for you!
@@Randallpullen123 cool thanks man!
Is there a rebuild video? I don't see 1 on the channel
Dude was bending back and forth the dip stick tube like he wanted to snap it off..... Then was upset when it broke off... 🤔
Perhaps don't bend it like a soda can ring pull tab....
Hey bro dumb question, it doesn’t matter what way you remove the head bolts?
Where’s the follow up video of the after ?? Perfect How To Vid.
Part 2 ????
I’m here early 😌🔥
So where the other part videos for this rebuild
Update on gc8?
where is the video of you rebuilding it?
Where is part two
You said st jet tag, do an rs tag too!
how much does it usually cost for a machine shop to bore my block and resurface the deck?
Oooh niceeee
I don't need ASMR hahaha just view this video
Can u do a motor pull out a 1997 Chevy Silverado
What every happened to the next videos?
Where are you located I want you to do this for me ion even care how much it cost
