- Doing an engine swap is no easy task. UA-camrs make it look easy for your ENTERTAINMENT, trust me, it's not.
So in this video I go through some items you need to consider and plan for if you are thinking about doing an engine swap!
enjoy ...
Yea dude this really helped, I was planning on putting a jet engine into my Miata and this really helped explain a lot!!
🤣🤣🤣
Hmmm maybe you could fit a pulsejet bahahaha
I'd pay to watch the test drive
Yktv🎉
W mind my guy.
Man show this guy the love he deserves
😁🙏🙏 thanks man
Dude really do quality work
People studying for exams and am watching u here
Keep up the good work
I did swap a bigger BMW engine into a small BMW engine, with automatic trans and full luxury function.
The most stressful is the wiring. It cost me 6 months to do the swap and 4 months for the wiring. So, Yes, please buy the wiring harness if possible
I like the way you explain everything!
thank you, glad you understand it lol
Honestly, I'm learning so much I think he has the perfect channel for anyone getting into the car scene
the happiness I get from seeing you post a new video is wordless.
This is such a feel good comment, thank you for the love and support, means a lot 🙏🙏🙏
Honestly, I've been thinking about getting an Acura Integra and taking a Civic Type R engine and swapping it in. This was a great video that really gave me a lot to think about. Great stuff!
Been thinkin about a j series in my integra
U should just save and wait to afford for the nsx at that point that way you're upgrading the king of cars boss
@@nathanridola8439 that would be insane bro good luck to u
Have you seen the new integras? They look dope, but haven’t checked the specs yet so I’m going off of looks alone.
Some come with the vtec engine just do more research
Your comment about trying to do your own wiring for the swap, staring at wiring diagrams until you go out and buy a wiring harness that you should have bought in the first place, was so funny. 🤣. I couldn't stop laughing. I've been there before, though not with wiring harnesses, but with other DIY projects. 🤣🤣🤣 Too funny.
Thanks this made me understand it a bit more. I’ve been thinking about swapping a GT86 with a 2GR-FE(Lotus exige 390) engine
Have you done it?
Thank you so much! Best and clearest swap explanation Ive seen.
Thank you 😊
Been waiting for a vid like this bro, keep it up👌🏾
I appreciate it! Thanks
A popular thing they do in my country is to convert pickup trucks to tow tow trucks they lower them take the diesel engine and transmission and put in a petrol v6 or v8 engine and transmission.
"Hehehe simple"... sounds like he's speaking from experience 😂💔
This is facts 🤣
This channel is a rabbit hole...Legend.
Thanks alot, this helped me with getting my list for choosing what swap to go with. I have a Datsun 510 and im deciding between a Nissan SR20DE or a Toyota Dual Beams .
Have you started yet? I'm VQ swapping my 77' 280z
Love the content, saw you first in tiktok love to see you marking bigger moves much love.
85 comments my ass, this video has zero dislikes for a reason, this man deserves a million subs easily, thanks man
Thanks man! What a feel good comment 😁
Number of dislikes explain how much resourceful your video is.
I'm from Tiktok and all of your videos are really professional, keep going !
Thank you I appreciate it 😁🙏
My car is completely against every reason you said to swap it
-Great handling
-can handle more power
- commonly swapped
I have an abarth 595
Thanks dude this was really helpful because I am trying to learn more about cars and parts😃
Recently i have thought about swapping an Alfa Romeo 159 engine with either a EJ25 engine or a K20A one, you really helped me get some stuff in place
MZ hits again, another great vid. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I appreciate you 🙏🙏🙏 thanks for the support
Great video man! You deserve more views and subs tbh
You just popped up on my feed for the first time, and this is my 2nd video watched. Great, quick breakdowns. New subscriber now. I'll be asking you questions a lot 😎.
Another nice and helpful content.
Thanks 😁🙏
Finally fit the w16 in the civic thanks to this video 🙏
This helped a lot. I have an 87 Supra that has metal in the oil so I’m debating swapping to a 1/2JZ or maybe one of the Toyota V8s cause it seems so hard to find 7MGE parts
Was thinking in swamping an Alfa Romeo engine with a E63 Amg 😂 now this sounds more expensive now hearing this video... thanks 🙏
3ur fe swap to a GAZ 3102.
There has been a hemi 5.7L swap done to that car but i want to do a 3ur fe like a classic muscle car.
Volga’s (GAZ) in general have very big engine bays from the GAZ 24 to GAZ 31105 but im scared that it will be a waste of money.
I'm researching doing a swap for a Nissan Pao, this was my first stop. Going to do a lot of research before picking what I want to put in there, but something that will work for highway speeds is my main thing. Might put a civic engine (if possible) because it will make maintenance easier to have something so common on the inside.
Within the next few months, I'll be putting a 5.3 from a 2008 Impala into a 2008 Mazda 6. Alot to be done for it to work, but will be worth it in the end
Brilliant content & interesting topics! Keep it up 🤩
Thank you, will do 😁
Man, you surely deserve more views
Engine swap seems more like a car/chassis swap to the new engine 😂 rather than an engine swap to the new car/chassis
But I appreciate the video
Got an 6.2L L92 out of a 07 Yukon going into a 65 Ford galaxie. Getting stuff for the galaxie is already a struggle and not many people do swaps to em so I guess it's not the smartest one to do but I love the process of learning with it
Okey big idea on the table. E30 M52B28 swap but make it reliable and traffic friendly. The whole thing is putting an overpowered unrealiable engine on a conservitive tune so it doesn't explode every 40k km and also allow for it to be driven on public road.
Saw you on TikTok. Very nice work.
Thanks 😁
help this man get 1 million subs hes the best guy i found on youtube who can explain this stuff
This guy helped a lot Im Abit new to the car community and have been planning on swapping my 96 Cherokee xj with a LS or something else around definitely open to engine suggestions for a sleeper xj 😅
Was planning on doing an e60 m5 V10 swap into a NC Miata. Think I'll reconsider after watching this
Can you make a vid on what you do as a day job in the garage like what you specialise into, and how you got qualified to whatever level
Sure once I have time 😬😁
love your content man, keep it up! Very helpful.
The advantage that I have is that the swap I want to do was already available as a factor option, so the car is prepared to accommodate that engine
I am swapping my 2008 bmw e90 318i manual with an automatic 2008 bmw e90 325i. Just for the fun of it also to get my insurance low on the long run as the 318i is the lower base model
I swapped a evolution lancer 4g63t into my 950kg/2100lbs 1984 Mitsubishi GSR Cordia Turbo 330bhp launch control and boost by gear.
Heaps of modern hot hatchback trolling fun to be had 😆
This video deserves a a billion views wow
I have a 1970 datsun 1600 roadster. I see people dropping the sr20 in them. I'm thinking about the 3sge beams with a micro squirt setup.
Quality stuff!! You the real car guy bro!!
this video is worth a few million dollars
Dude these videos are QUAAALIIITYYY!!!
Thinking of putting a xr6t barra in my e36👌👌
Nice! 😳
I’m planning to put a barra in a e46 I’m sure it has been done before
I want to do a blacktop 4A-GE into a st185 celica what u think abt that?
Keep posting good videos like these your doing great bro
Appreciate it brothaa!
a V8 in my Peugeot 205. Would be an interesting sight on the street for sure.
Wife found a convertible geo metro for sale that doesn't run (bad compression) and I'm debating putting a 2zz from a celica or corolla in. It would be adding a cylinder so spacing might be a problem
Surely buying a donor car for the engine and using the ecu, wiring looms fuel system and just making custom fuel lines would work? Never done this before but I feel like there’s a much simpler way to do a swap that’s never been done before than slapping in the engine and trans and customising everything else
Planning on doing a mid engined MK6 Celica. Wish me luck.
A lot of the costs usually go into labor, from what I know and experienced.
Quality content king 👑
Man great videos!! Can you please do a video about turbocharge !
Thank you, and turbo video is coming this week 😁
The problem with having a having a new car is that there aren’t many engine swaps, not necessarily because it’s a bad idea but rather because there hasn’t been enough people to do them just yet
Ur underrated really easy and enjoyable videos.
I appreciate it 🙏😁
Yessir new video gotta get some chips ✌️😂
Dang, I wanted to put a Lexus 2UR-GSE in a Jaguar XJS. Sounds like I'll need to double check a few more things..
Great video man but you forgot some things. Tools cost money and you need to know how to use the tools. Not being able to use the tools appropiately can cause some serious harm to your car or yourself. Also a lot of the work that goes into these kind of projects are two man jobs so you'll need at least one buddy to help you out.
Well said.. details like this are often overlooked
Do you think my dad and I can successfully swap a k20z3 into a 1979 Triumph Tr 7 in the garage?
I don’t think anyone had done this yet, Should i be concerned?
I plan on finishing this next year when I can get my g2 drivers license.
This guy is a good teacher
Hi Bro thanks for sharing. I put Toyota 5L Engine into 1998 Pajero Exceed which was a petrol car, we used the orignal Pajero Automatic transmission but couldnt get drive, the Computer box was ok and all connections. We changed the flywheel , torque converter bell housing to match auto transmission. On the dash the transmission shows its position but no drive. What could be the error
Man please please explain how the engine works and the difference between a 2jz and and LS or a V8 and thank u so much❤
For sure, it's actually on my list
Haven’t completed it yet, but great vid!
Thanks 😊
I want to take everything from a donor RAV4 with the V6 2GR and put it in a Scion tC, to build an AWD V6 tC.
Been thinking of doing a small block v8 on my 89 cavalier
I have a 1976 triumph 2500TC and OG engine needs a rebuild. for the same money I could drop something different in and get more power, better fuel economy. just don't know what to fit.
how about an ecodiesel 3.0 in a land yacht like a 1975 Lincoln town car or Cadillac? or a 2 liter VW diesel in a Citroen?
Greatest video ever, good work
Love the video man, Only thing that I dont like is your negativaty towards new swaps that haven't been done before. yes it'll take alot of time and research but at the same time its not impossible like your making it seem.
Thanks man, I appreciate it. And you're right! but for an average person a novel swap would be hard to complete. Your view might be a bit more skewed because of your confidence in your skills or experience. But I do see your point.
@@MZopyrus Totally you are correct, but just the negativity will probably demotivate a average person that is thinking of a swap. Just from my stand point I think you can end up googling things that are similar to your swap and can sort of go off of that while using common sense. But either way man your video was great for the target audience which is "the average person" trying to swap. Loved the video
Am from Jamaica....I am thinking of swapping a Nissan Sentra GA15 engine into a Nissan VAY12. AD Wagon.
I once pulled a heater hose. Man was it simple. Yeah. Just 3 hours was it needed and it was all good. Then days later it leaked again. Yeah, it's simple lol!
"That car weighs as much as a shoe!" Hehe fuckin luv this guy😂👏🏾
I am planning to put a K24 in a VW golf MK2.
A 3-4 cylinder swap on my V6 ford F150, I originally wanted a V8 but have financial problems and would be better off just buying a taho! But I still want an economical daily driver and my 03 ford is damn near dirt bones basic out side of having an automatic transmission, a modern breaking system and a pioneer blue tooth radio and the naturally aspirated 4.2L V6, witch was a good engine but has oil leaks a sheered of pulley and a belt missing now, so I can keep patching up a 250,000 miles engine or get a newer 4cyl and preferably basic probably 90s Honda or Nissan! Maybe a 3cyle not sure if I want to go desil but I’d have to change the fuel line from gasoline-desil 😩 so preferably 4cyl gas! Now that I know I also have to swap the transmission I’m slightly bumbed out! But fuck it! 🤙
Underrated video
Wanted to do a swap for any old engine those which doesn't need ecu to start with automatic transmission petrol in my E500 Mercedes-Benz
Before watching this video, I was desperate to swap a Volvo 2.3 T5 into an E36 Compact Sport. But now I think I'm too scared. M54B30 is so common and reliable, it seems like that might have to be the smart option...
I have a 1989 Fleetwood Cadillac. I would like to do a 5'3 or 60 swap or maybe vortex 5.7. any of those would work for me
I was thinking about swapping the engine of my Audi A2. It's dead I've been searching for months, but I can't find any engines that cam fit for that car
Sooooo can I make a v8 ford focus or no
I’m looking to put a fwd ls4 in a 2008 Nissan Altima
Man, you're the best!
Can you upgrade the original engine itself to take added power? Cams, pulleys, pistons, etc.
I was thinking about a lS swap for my 1966 Buick Skylark
thank you for these simple steps
I was thinking about swapping the engine of a Celica for a central engine and rear transmission. But I think I'll have to pass... Hehe
Is there a specific type of wiring harness you should look for matching it with the car or how?
Quick question in the community here. I wanna go crazy with my Skoda Fabia 1.2 from 2009. How to turn 60hp(44kw) into a hell of a lot more?
When warranty expires I wish to swap my mild hybrid diesel Jaguar XE engine with petrol charged hybrid from F-pace.
Judging by the vehicle schematics available out there this will probably turn into pushing the F-pace engine and parts of its drive train along with its mother ECU, and much of the interior into the XE chasis and exterior.
That resolves the issues of finding the right electronics, sensors, parts etc.
And creates an issue of "how the hell to I put that in that space without breaking it or causing some other troubles".
Oh... and I should quote you MZopyrus :)
"It is financially dumb idea!"
And most likely I will get 0 support from JLR and in the 500 km radius I doubt there are any skilled mechanics willing to meddle with the British engines/cars in such manner.
I was also thinking of placing an old V6 AJ123 engine from F-type or XE-S models. But who knows what will happen. Getting that engine and rebuilding it and then doing a swap... Yes. ('-.- )
In the end, looking at the costs of the engine, the amount of mechanical work and time... I could just go and buy a new car with desired HP and MPG.
Staying rational cannot take away my dreams
my bmw x6 v8 engine is done and the used engine 9000$ im waiting for damaged bmw go to auction, but this will take a year, so for now can i take 6 cylinder engine from junkyard with its own ecu and same harness and wiring and give it 12v will it start without programing?
What about 07 Yukon swapped with a 3rd gen 12 valve Cummins
Nissan s14 with a B48 the one on the Supra mk5
