If the time period is right, the victim is now 15, meaning he's just now in High School, the time most complicated. I absolutely agree that both are equally despicable and should be treated as such. I really don't think a 19 year old guy would go to prison for what she admitted to, though. I knew several girls growing up who had boyfriends way older than us (like, 18+ when we were 14) and only one of them even got charged with anything to my knowledge. That honestly only speaks to how shitty our society is at putting predators away, though.
I used to have a best friend who was just like this. She lied about what other people were doing to her in order to gain sympathy and support from people. For example she told us that her husband was abusive and she was leaving him, that her grandmother was dying and she spent her nights in the hospital with her. None of it was true. Her husband was completely unaware anything was going on and she was actually spending her nights at a dude's house, cheating on her husband. Only once she couldn't keep the lies going and just up and left with her side guy did we realize what was actually going on. She abandoned her husband, kids and friends because she didn't want to be held responsible for her lies and she honestly didn't seem to care or feel bad about it. Keeping someone supporting her at all times, no matter what lies she spewed or what she did, was more important than anything, apparently.

@@sin3358 Age of Consent laws are very strange. But usually, with the age of consent, once you turn 16, you can consent to anyone a few years older. However, there is still a certain limit. But before you turn 16, you can ONLY consent to people your age. And it is understandable because they have similar levels of maturity. But the difference between a 13 year old and a 14 year old is quite a lot even being a year apart.

One of the hallmarks of an abusive woman is purposefully disrespecting their significant others personal boundaries and calls for space and to leave them alone. People ask for space when they know they're getting too emotional and upset so they ask for space too cool off and continue the argument when they aren't as emotional. It's instinctive. So the abuser purposefully ignores the SO in order to keep pushing and keep upsetting the SO so the SO will lose their temper and yell or push the abuser out of the room. That way the abuser can play the victim and gaslight the SO into blaming themselves and thinking they (the SO) is the bad person and the one in the wrong, instead of the truth. It is a 100% guarantee that the abusive woman will pull this when they are for sure in the wrong that way they can play like they aren't in the wrong and that they are the actual victim in this situation. And most people, especially mature ones, feel bad for losing their temper and yelling even if they were provoked into doing so and literally weren't given any other option. Because that's what female abusers do. They corner you so you're only way out is to attack them verbally or physically so they can play the victim. And that is how they manipulate you. Game, set, match. If your Significant Other is pulling this behavior on you, you are in an abusive relationship and you need to seek help immediately. It never gets better and only gets worse. I live in the same town as Zoe and can confirm some of the claims about her going for people younger than her. In 2018 she asked a friend of mine’s younger sister and their friends to have a sleepover with her. She met them while they were taking a walk and she knew they were fans. At the time Zoe was 18 and the girls were all 11 or 12 at the time. Truly odd and predatory behavior. She used the fact that they were fans who worshiped her to her advantage.
Since you've clearly been working on this for a while, here's an update for everyone who wanted to know. Zoe Laverne is still verified on tiktok, and currently sits at 17.7 million subscribers. When she turns her comments on, people still bring this up. The kid she groomed, well his account got banned for "multiple violations of the terms of service."

@@miku39chan I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to say, save for that you think Zoe Laverne should be given more leeway.
It is not normal or acceptable (or an oopsy) for a 19-year-old to have any form of non-platonic relationship with a 13-year-old (even platonically it's a bit weird). Zoe fully understands the maturity gap as evidenced by her mocking a 13-year-old and saying they should go play with barbies. There are no blurred lines here- she sees 13-year-olds as immature and yet chooses to have a relationship with one.
Also, just cause it's legal doesn't mean it's right and the age of consent can have layers. Technically a 12-year-old can consent in my country too- but there's a two-year buffer so they could not consent to relations with someone older than them by two years (this two-year buffer continues up till the person turns 16).
Sure, your brain completely develops by around age 25, but it doesn't mean there aren't vast differences in maturity from age 13 to 19. I'm 17 and I see the 12-year-olds at my school as children. Our understanding and perception of the world are so vastly different- our ability to assess what is good for us and what is harmful is too. You can't be perfect as a teen but it isn't hard to avoid predatory behavior.

What actually blew my mind is I was watching a series that popped up on my feed here on UA-cam and I believe it’s called “Real Life Documentaries” and this particular series was about Teen Mom/Teen Parenting it took place in the UK, my take on it was that it was a UK Vee iOSon of the US mtv series Teen mom. And the one that shocked me and still bothers me, is one is about not just 1 teen pregnant but 2 teen sisters ages 13 and 16 and the 13’s boyfriend lived with the young girls family and he was 19 and then 13 yr old pregnant girl her boyfriend also lived in the teen pregnant sisters family home too, and he was 22 and she was 13. Shocked me that the interviewer didn’t mention the age difference as an issue, completely floored me. Does anyone know if the UK doesn’t have any age cut off of when it become pedophilia? I was shocked, the filming was older but definitely still in the 2000’s - 2010’s (if I was too guess). Their mom and stepdad didn’t mind it not the slightest. Unfortunately, some people don't experience the mental and emotional growth needed to see themselves as adults.
