Seeing people abuse housing like that irks me even more now given my own country (Canada) is in a housing crisis. Like people who actually work hard and need a home for their family can't even find shit here alot of times, but here this rich asshole can simply pay to destroy something many of us need and cant even access for its intended use.

Well that is a scary prospect. Head injuries really can only go 2 ways with this guy. Best case? He literally knocks sense into himself (it's possible, I struggled alot with math until a severe head injury at age 9 then it became my highest graded class most years after). Worst case? He fucks his personality or induces psychotic issues (think the Gage case from medical history. A kind railroad worker was turned to a vile human by a severe brain trauma.)

Which I get it can be a stuggle in other countries. But parents here send their kids to Jake , I'd imagine they had to sign a contract. Its why we never hear from the parents. I'm pretty sure if Jake was holding all these contracts over kids heads , the parents could like take him to court for kidnapping and weight some heavy allegations over him. Purely just to get their kid out of this contract. But I have a feeling the parents are the ones who handed their kids over to him and really dont care. Sad. Wouldn't be surprised. And they probably signed a nda as well because u never hear anything from the parents. Your underage, they can't just sign a contract for 5 years and live with this dude without the parents approval. Because I find it hard to belive that kids signed a contract for 5 years and love with a random adult and Jake was never sued. And the parents don't even speak out. I think the parents signed something basically handing their kids over. Honestly I think for them to love with him there might even be a temporary custody thing. Which is more then just paper work. He had access to the twins paper work that they didn't have. Sounds like he was taking steps thru the law along with the parents approval. No way no one seen an opportunity and attempted sued him. The Paul brothers blew up when I was too old to ever be interested in their content, so their popularity has always baffled me. My favorite Jake Paul scandal is his weird beef with elementary schools, like when he encouraged his child fans to write his merch site on the whiteboards at their schools and RT'd the ones who got detention for it, or his school teacher diss track.

Thank you for using your platform to bring light to the SA claims. I knew he was a piece of trash but had no idea about that, and seeing the victims own accounts was incredibly powerful. Also a very respectful way of covering their abuse, thank you for giving their stories a good amount of time in the story of jake and Logan as a whole. I think some people could consider these types of videos trashy fun content, and some in the genre are, but I appreciate you giving this topic the severity it deserves. These women deserve our respect and I’m happy to see you modeling the good behavior the Pauls never did that lead to them being harassed.

Children don’t know what “cancelling” means. You can expose someone’s wrongdoings thoroughly, but if his supporters don’t think anything is wrong, or don’t even know what “wrong” means, it will go nowhere.
It's because cancel culture isn't real. It's a lot of talk, and a lot of outrage, and a lot of tweets, but nobody has ever actually gotten deplatformed in a meaningful way. Money talks, audiences don't care, boycotts don't work.
Cancel culture really only works on people with a conscious. If you have no conscious or even like being cancelled because it will provide publicity, then it will not affect you. You can have UA-camrs who openly support bigotry, and they'll be fine. Then you have UA-camrs who for the most part aren't offensive, or even support progressive messages, but then they have one tweet that could be interpreted as bigoted if someone really wants it to, and they can get bullied off the platform.
Many such cases of that. Chris Brown, Keemstar, Woody Allen...there's a long list.
KSI saved his and Logan’s career calling them out for fights and the Jake fight is still a possibility for the end of 2023 or early 2024

Every time one of the Paul brothers lands in controversy I tell myself "Surely this will be the last one? They can't possibly still have a career after this right?" only for them to continue plaguing the internet.
I feel like by "Training to be a Navy SEAL", what Jake *really* meant is he was talking to a Navy recruiter for a couple days or started upping his exercise for a bit. You don't just get into SEAL training, you already have to be in the Navy in order to apply.
Honestly, after the night I've had, I could use focusing that frustration on someone as deserving as Jake Paul. Perfect goddamn timing.

What people don't realise is that, no matter what controversial situation has occurred involving Jake, he has always come out fairly unaffected and I'm sure he has never been even remotely concerned about the particular situation. Guy just belongs in such a carefree bubble as a result of his personality, he never suffers. It is so frustrating but literally will always be the same deal. He is a top rate prick and always will be but it creates a situation where he is never truly been accountable for all the out of order and quite frankly intolerable shit he has done.

People have said this for a long time but the only way the Paul's will face any sort of consequences or accountability would be if they were caught doing some really really indefensible shit like drug or human trafficking or grooming. If that ever happens, their careers are over

The clip of him blowing on alissa's hair was so fucking hard to watch. Men like him do make their partners resort to things they'd normally never do, ie her turning around and slapping him. Our youngest daughter went behind our back and bought a cell phone and a cell plan from Walmart when we took her phone away from her as a punishment. Mum marched her back to Walmart and advised them to return all her money and cancel the illegitimate contract. She was only 16 at the time.
I lived in basically a frat house when I was 20-21 to save money. The kinda hell it was makes me feel so bad for all the teens tricked into what looks like fun, and realizing how much pain these people have been put through.

I honestly feel horrible for both of them but especially Justine, like imagine having someone violate your boundaries and assault you against your will then having their fans tell you to commit suicide and threatening to hurt you. I was there for all of it, the Team 10 house, the Bizarrdvark season one show, the neighborhood complaints, the Alyssa Violet situation and all fake relationships after, both of the twins situations, all of it… I was a viewer the whole way through. I even visited the team 10 house when I went on a trip to LA with my family (which I want to shoot myself for). And after I learned about all of the members perspectives, allegations against him, and the douchebaggery of Jake towards human beings altogether, the pieces were finally coming together that I was being hypnotized into this sad manipulative rabbit hole that I had to get myself out of before I dug more. I haven’t looked back since. If I had the technology to go back in time to assassinate myself during that time, I’d do it in a heartbeat…

I don't know how you monitor what they see these days without completely removing them from technology and any friends that can get them access as well.
But the behaviors and "pranks" treated as normal really terrify me if a kid thinks those are acceptable actions.

As a kid i didn't really use the internet or watch youtube, which i think was a solid move, really.
i had access to a bunch of games, even from a young age, but i understood i shouldn't play some of them because it could give me nightmares and such.
I did a lot of Starcraft, played on the PS2, stuff my parents got when they were kids.
admittedly, i've always been perceptive, but you can still keep your kid safe as long as you're checking in on them.
you don't need to obsessively monitor their behavior, but don't leave them unobserved either. Make sure you know at least the generalities of what they're doing.
make sure they know it's not that they can't be trusted, it's that not all people online can be trusted, that sort of thing.
make sure the child is cautious. not necessarily apprehensive or on edge, but aware of the bad shit that can go on.

The amount of disdain I hold for these two is pretty strong and doubly so seeing the kids they preyed upon coming into adulthood and having a severely warped sense of what life should be. Tons of cross over between the Paul brother fans and those who follow even worse role models later on such as Andrew Tate. I can only hope they face actual repercussions at some point but sadly reality is rarely that kind.
Because I'm in my thirties I learned about this guy through my work and not from being a part of the zeitgeist, so it's hard for me to imagine what it was like for young fans seeing him organically as he came up. I did on the other hand once love Orson Scott Card so I can totally sympathize with learning too late that you've been supporting a monster. Here's hoping they all find someone not harmful to enjoy.

In 2013 when Jake started on Vine per the internet I was in Grad school and working two jobs. I watched basically nothing on UA-cam, if I had free time it was spent playing City of Heroes and the Star Wars MMO. In 2014 when he launched on UA-cam per the internet I was finishing grad school and turning my two part time side jobs into a full time and part time job, so my UA-cam consumption was still pretty much nil.
In 2015 I was too busy binging Supernatural and writing fanfiction so I used UA-cam for AMVs and Slash videos. Still no Jake Paul adjacent interests, not terminally online with UA-cam, couldn't have cared less.
In 2016 my brother died so that year was a bust, can't tell you much about it other than the weeping.
In 2017 I think this is when I was introduced to Comment Etiquette by a more online friend but I don't know and I'm not going to look because my break is only so long, and I don't care.
In 2018 (had to check the year because it was post Suicide Forest video) I was working a job in Licensing for professional merchandise, and we were pitched Jake Paul's license to make merchandise for him in Brick and Mortar Specialty and Mass Markets. I was tasked with researching him to see if it was a good license to take. Through this task I learned about the existence of: Idubbz, Tanna (SP?) Mojo, Onision, and the diss track guy that was covered in the Idubbz video I was told Erik from Comment Etiquette was on. This is how I started commentary channels. So, no, you're incorrect, I do know my own interests and timelines, I was telling you I was ignorant so why you need to gatekeep that I don't know but maybe you should seek help because just because you THINK this stuff is common knowledge it ain't. This is one lousy little corner of a HUGE internet in a HUGE world and some people will be ignorant of what you think is important. Until my job forced me, I was one of those people. I wish I'd had another job.
