  • This video is my Fall/Winter 2019 skincare routine, plus what products I use to get clear skin fast and relatively naturally. As someone with quite sensitive, combination/dry skin (with a SUPER oily t-zone, lol), I have to be pretty picky with my skincare. Luckily, with the help of my dermatologist, retinol/retin-a, and some non-irritating, fragrance-free products, this is my skincare routine! Enjoy!

I purchased every item shown in this video, EXCEPT for the "backup" Vichy Mineral 89 Skin Booster that I showed. Vichy sent one of those to me for free as part of a social media campaign (the other, I bought from Target with my own money). I am not being compensated by them otherwise, and I do NOT get any monetary compensation if you buy a Vichy product using my link (it's just to track who buys through who). All shade/opinions are my own ;) Thanks for watching!

The first cleanse it removing the grime/sweat/makeup off your face. The second cleanse is ACTUALLY cleansing YOUR SKIN. U will see healthier skin on your face! 😄

Cosmetically elegant.... yes, YOU are! I wear sunscreen daily as well. There is a Canadian brand called Miracle 10 and it is one of my ride or die face products. I bought plain white cotton driving gloves and don’t wear them enough. I might check out the one you buy off of Amazon. Next time I go to the States and visit Trader Joe’s, I am going to buy that Aegean Oil. Great video, Neelou! 😊

I feel ya with the driving gloves! I bought some fingerless SPF gloves to wear while driving (I think the website was called palmfree), but I lost one 😂😂 I guess those driving gloves never work out for anyone LOL.
I wonder if you can get Miracle 10 in the U.S.! I’ll have to look into it :)

It’s refreshing to see someone who’s done their homework and knows about skincare. I agree that you don’t need to be chasing the latest products that are usually just recycled ingredients in new packaging 😏. I typically keep it simple like you but also include a BHA to keep pores clear and my products are from cruelty free brands (NYX makes a very comparable micellar water, and my cleansers vary a little because they’re usually not as important for me). My favorite sunscreen is from Make P:rem, a physical sunscreen that feels great and wears well under makeup. I haven’t yet ventured into tretinoin simply because I can’t be bothered to see a derm for a prescription 🙄. But it might be time... Anyway, glad to see you being reasonable as always 🤗

Thank you so much! i need to start switching to cruelty-free brands. There’s no excuse! I’ll switch to the NYX when I’m done with my Garnier bottle if you think the NYX is good :)
Ooo I must try that sunscreen! What BHA do you use? I tried paulas choice and it was great, but I had to stop using it bc my skin was NOT down with the tretinoin + bha combo, even when I was using it carefully 🙃

Neelou Goodarzi The reason I started using the NYX micellar is because the ingredients list is almost identical to the pink Garnier one, and I found it to work well for me 🙌🏽 I’d suggest getting a bottle and doing a side by side just to make sure you feel the same. Last time it went on BOGO50 sale on the NYX site, I stocked up. I sometimes have trouble finding it at my local Ulta but it’s there on BOGO sometimes too.
Edit: well duh, I realize now why the formulas are almost identical. L’Oréal owns both Garnier and NYX. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So the cruelty free status might be more gray than I realized for this product. I also looked up the status of Make P:rem and it’s gray there too. Progress not perfection?
My regular BHA is from PC but the Resist formulation. That one doesn’t leave my skin as tacky as the regular 2%. I’ve tried one from Cosrx that is supposed to be a little milder and The Inkey List. Those had a more emollient feel because of the hyaluronic acid in them. But if you don’t need BHA (cuz it doesn’t look like you do!), I wouldn’t bother. For me I think it helps keep random acne away. 🙂

Did you get burning, flaky, and very dry skin after using these products?

Im into trying new things lately. I'm a huge fan of dr. Dray here on UA-cam, she is a Texas dermatologist, Houston I think. She has helped me keep my money in my pocket when it comes to skin care and NO ONE ON EARTH is more into to sunscreen than her.

Ooo I really like Dr. Dray too! Haven’t been watching as many of her videos lately but I should get back on her channel. Any favorite products? I do have a list of stuff I want to try eventually 😂 it just takes me years to do it

I mention it at around 2:00, but here’s an update-I still haven’t finished the bottle I showed even though I use it every night (or maybe I’m currently using the backup, can’t remember) and I use one pump of it mixed with argan oil! I did an empties video where I went more in depth about it: ua-cam.com/video/M15pwZmak6Q/v-deo.html
