I just picked up my second c10 its also 67 and this video really was not only done perfectly but it puts in perspective how much work I have left on mine. One day at a time gets her done. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for getting back to me.I have a 1985 c10 with 5/5 bolt pattern and the wheels that I want to use come five and four and three quarter.I love the build you did ,and I see you had a lot of SMALL HELP! My grandson helps me when he can.He is in fireman’s school.
Patina is what it really is, original and very desirable for collectors or someone who just likes keeping their vehicles original as possible, custom or original,it still looks great. Thumbs up and thanks for the awesome videos ! Peace and Blessings to you all 👍🙏💯😎
Lots of work. I applaud your efforts to keep classic American Chevy pickups on the road. Don't know tire size, final gear ratio but in overdrive with 0.70:1 O.D. should be 1,800-2,100 RPM at 65 MPH. DK, ASE Master Tech since 78, retired. (13, first truck 65 Apache $150 bought with hay money, no allowance on family farm, 283 cu in w/power glide).
@@freemansgarage I woke before 3AM and drove to a field 8 miles to operate a 1974 new 4X4 John Deere for a neighbor farmer for a $1 and hour, until 9:30AM. Ran late one day and went thru a rock bottom dry creek and hit hard. On the gravel road, I made it a mile then the engine locked, oil light came on second as the rear wheels skidded. The power-glide had two pumps, one front and rear and in gear, still had engine braking. It locked up and trans held it, locking the rear wheels. I looked under the front and saw a hole across the oil pan of the 283 / 2BBL. After a few choice words, started walking to school. I got a buddy with a truck & chain, drove out to get it and it was gone!!!! I almost cried. No cell phones in those days but I went to the county seat to the DMV & police. I knew the sheriff as he knew me, dad & grandad. I reported it stolen and lied about the cost, but all ensured me that if licensed in the county, they would impound the truck and arrest who ever was trying to file for it by VIN. I checked several times and nothing. After 3 years, I gave up. All red & white trim with the tiny polished edges on the cab side pieces... I hate this dude, bad.
@@deankay4434 I'm sorry that happened to you. Your truck is most likely out there somewhere. Probably rotting away in a tree row. I knew some people in high school that stumbled upon a 70 something Ford pickup that had broken down. They got it running & beat on it until they rolled it on its side then left it. One of the many reasons why I started a UA-cam channel is because I have a goal of putting myself in a position where I can help people. When I have a large enough audience & income, I can use those assets to help people like you find your truck. And to find vehicles that people like us sold years ago & regret & desperately want to find again. I know it's a very lofty goal but I'm going for it. Maybe when the time comes, we can reopen your cold case & take a shot at finding your 65.
@@freemansgarage Farmer's frequently put old cars into ditches to hold back soil erosion and keep cattle in. I walk a couple hundred feet looking at tracks, never found anything. I would have wait 45 years to get a drone W/Camera! Too late. I won't even tell you about my 68 Dodge Charger stored a my half-brothers farm in the machine shed. On fumes, floor jack on blocks and covered with heavy army tarp. He was 6 years younger and inherited a house, barn and 3 machine sheds after his grandfather passed. On a handshake he told me to store it however long I needed. 7-8 years later, grandma passed and was 180 miles North, as now free and clear. Read in the paper, drove down for the weekend and ask him. His response was "What Dodge" so, since the oldest & adopted, he told me to get off the property! The machine shed was empty. Such a mean bunch as I left the farm at 15. I guess he had to do my work and got even? That one I am sure never went into a ditch as Dukes of Hazards came on TV about 4, maybe 5 years later. But he had an 80's Camero and was working on it. I don't think he could fix a sandwich, much less a car. Still have no clue & this was 30+ years ago. My luck stinks...
I just bought the exact truck with the exception of mine being a longbed. Like you I will not be painting mine. It's getting a BBC or my cammed 6.0 LS. Haven't decided which engine yet. Nice job!!!
@@motortopiaondemand after researching I'm going 6.0 LS. These didn't have a BBC option until '68 or 69. So the firewall and frame rails aren't clearanced for my 468. LS for the win!!!
I'm surprised you didn't beef up the rear coil springs a bit. The back ends of these old 1/2 tons can get very bouncy when you hit multiple expansion joints in a row on the freeway.
Yes, they can and we felt it on the Power Tour. lol. The next phase of the build we plan on installing a coilover setup to help with ride quality and performance.
Please don't hate me or beat me down for saying this 😠 awesome build everybody I showed what it did it no different with the money you got all respect I would at least put the old man's rear bumper on there that they hand built are old man Jones's house back in the day then bumpers make the whole truck along with everything else that back bumper is so tough
Man I swear that bumper weighed 300 lbs! I ended up finding a white sport bumper to match the front but I do agree with you. That bumper was cool and was very tough but just didn't fit the build for me.
Awesome 👏🏻 work guys love that small window cab I have a question since I am really trying to get one of these either a 67-68 or a obs body style but which one is more popular or would hold the value more ?
Great question. You should get both! The classic truck market has blown up over the last couple of years and the OBS trucks are starting to bring big money. I don't think you could go wrong with either although an original 1967 big back window truck is pretty hard to find in good shape. '67 was the last year truck featuring the small back window. Also you can't beat the ride quality of a stock OBS. With a quality drop and some wheels you can get a really nice driver that's a collectable.
The 67 don't have the side marker lights in the fenders & bedsides, the 68 do ! That's pretty much the only difference in the two ! Have the 68 now ! Good luck ! 👍✌
Yes, we have put over 3,000 miles on this truck with this setup riding 80mpg on the hwy and have had no issues. Wheel spaces are required when you're running a 15" wheel and disc brakes because the inside barrel of the wheel will hit the caliper. These wheel spacers came with the truck so we are sure what brand they are. You could always run a bigger wheel to avoid this.
This is exact type of process of content i love
Thanks! We are looking at doing more content like this.
Nice! Got the younger generation involved also. So good for the hobby. 👍
Excellent job doing the work yourself and at your home. Furthermore, your family involved in the build as well!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great job well planned. Love that you kept it as a sleeper.
Gracias por su atención Dios te bendiga
Excellent job fixing that old C10 up and giving it some great updated mods!👍👍👍
Great ride. Came out nice.
Dope build! I like that you didn’t put low pros on it, looks great!
Love your 4x4 cab removal trick

Great build but dump the Cow Catcher grill it kills a great looking chevy front end. Love both of my 67-68 chevy trucks.
It'll be a cone catcher soon enough!
Content is getting better and better. Keep up the great job Josh!
Excellent video!
wow....amazing,,,thats a truck.....beautiful work!!

Nice to see someone film and get their hands dirty. Unlike that UBT dork Robbie.
Cool ass video and build ! Now let's see some dually content lol
You have got one cool truck!!!

That’s a cool version. Barn find look but everything else new and updated. Mine would look weird with all the mismatched fenders, cab, bed etc….
Amo este video.
fricken beautiful.
Love it!!

Good v8 😮😊
I like the 72 better!!
love it
I was gonna change it if you did anything to that timeless paint.

Love the stance, what’s the drop on it?
It's a 5/7 drop kit that came with the truck. I'm not sure of the brand but we plan on doing a coil over setup on this truck in the near future.
How did you adapt power steering ?
