We started with an extremely rusty and dented classic pickup. After an engine swap and extensive rust and dent repair, it's finally looking like a truck again!

For sure, the 'one hour of work for one minute of video' theory needs to be put to the test. That would make a great video in and of itself.
Many times I have shared your dream, that of buying a hopeless rusty pile, and flipping it for a huge loss. But we are so much more than that, we are the elite. Those of us who not only lose money, but waste copious amounts of hours planning, labor, and supplies to do so. Sometimes nothing in life compares with the joy of watching the taillights of the last year of our life's work going away down the street for the last time. And squeezing that satisfying, tiny little lump of folded cash and dreaming of the future.
Meanwhile, I think I'd be loading the remains of that blue cab up on a trailer and take it back to Scott and try for at least a partial refund....

I have been following the rehab of the GMC and enjoyed it thoroughly. My uncle who was an truck driver all his life, told me a story once when he was at a car/truck factory. Who the manufacturer was I forget. He was waiting for his load to be taken off so he had some time to kill. He toured the final assembly area where they fitted the doors to the cabs. He noticed that when the doors came from the stamping area they weren't curved enough to fit the door opening well. The fellas showed him how they put the curve into the doors. One of the men braced the top of the door with his arms outstretched against the top of the window frame. The other workman had a huge wooden mallet which he proceeded to bash the inside of the door. It all looked so primitive and brutal. But it got the desired result. The door fit the opening perfectly. Or as close to perfect as they could manage. I guess when you hit enough doors into submission you get pretty good at it. They also showed how they take twist out the doors. Equally brutal.

Can't add much to what others have already said in praise. What persistence and resolve and above all faith in yourself.! I have always believed that in many cases, one who restores is better than one who creates. You give hope to others who are striving in life with their own unfinished projects and dreams. Dream on please, and let me find other videos made by you.

I came to this party late so it’s good to see the recap of this project all in one video. Thanks for putting this together.

After 75 years?? The cab really took a serious beating. Considering the elements of nature. Especially in Canada 🇨🇦. In the end, great restoration 👌👌

Congratulations on finishing the GMC! It looks great, can't wait to see the next project. Watching you splice those corner windows in makes me wonder how many people would notice if you only did one side and made a "4 window" truck.

Thank you Tom! A 4 window truck would definitely be good for a laugh!

Thank you so much Kyle. You really impressed me and I'm sure a lot of other people with this reconstruction. You made it fun and interesting. I'm going to miss this old girl, but I realize it's your business. I will continue watching your channel, you certainly are a legend. Terrific work. I'm looking forward to the next project. Kyle, thank you for reminding us that even the crappiest of rust buckets can be returned to use with skill and determination and very modest resources. Looking forward to the next project!

I may never get to practice all of the tips you've shared with us but It gives me great pleasure to watch someone that takes great pride in their work.
I believe you are as disciplined in everything you do. It's obvious why you have the support of family, friends and fans. They know that any vehicle that's worth saving will be safe in your hands. Congratulations on the completion of this project.
