This was my Great Uncle George pickup. I can remember Uncle George and Aunt Frances driving this old truck.I remember before Larry put the truck in the barn, the paint was like new and the truck look like a new truck and ran perfect. I am glad that Larry sold it to someone who plans to restore it and bring it back to life. Good luck and looking forward to seeing the many updates.

I paid $600 for my '69 C-10 back in the late '70's. It was a 6 cyl short bed. Love that body style.
I'd wash it get good brakes and tires and RIDE baby.
The simplicity of the 60's and 70's C-10 is a blessing from God.

This is so cool! I just saw the thumbnail and had to watch! Back 1971, my dad bought a truck just like this one!! The same color and it was also the base model. The differences were that my dad's GMC was a long bed, typical four-speed and it had a V6 engine. I loved the sound of the V6, after he installed a glass pack muffler on the exhaust. I loved to drive that truck! Great memories! Good luck with the restoration! What a real gem!!

We've got our fair share of rot down here but this one somehow evaded it.
My 79 Dodge van somehow escaped rust out here in California. 30 years under a carport, last time it ran was in 2004 before I got it. It's fairly mint!

Love that old boy he reminds me of my 1970 Chevy C10 three on the tree with the 283 and long bed and 6 lug a lot of people don't realize that there was a skinny 15 in six lug if he was mine I would leave him bone stock just restored enough to get him to run not modify him anyway

Had a 72 swb like this. Same color with the 350, 4spd. 350 was tired, but it still ran ok and sounded good with 40 series fm.
'67s are cool with the small back window. That 3 speed would be awesome behind a 327. Put a floor shifter in it.

Great find. The subject matter is the truck. I see more of the guy with glasses than truck. When giving description, show details of the truck, go around truck when describing, not on you with truck in background. Proud new owners should be out in front not you. It's about the truck and it's rescue, not you. Reel your ego in a bit and you'll have better vids. Have had a few of the 67 to 72 trucks and enjoy seeing them come back to life. Don't enjoy your being in forefront, instead of the trucks. Less of you and more truck details. Kim
Appreciate your opinion; however, I think you may have found the wrong channel. My viewers expect a certain thing from me and we provide it. As a matter of fact, there's probably 3 minutes of me in a 22 minute video. Still not enough truck, huh? For me, I'm just glad I got to experience it and bring this footage to those who appreciate what they witnessed within 24 hours of it happening.

This truck will get some tasteful upgrades but on its way there will be brought back to it's original condition. But better.

@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS no thare usaly separate. The barn is whare the live stock stay and the machine shed is whare the machines stay. Besides I was joking. The term " barn find" is used way to often.

good barn find saves alot of quarters in the car wash in that torrential deluge .......no paint just a light scuff and a satin clear coat for patina
No doubt about it. No need for clear, just buff it out.
I just can not imagine why you would tear it apart and put electronic computer controled motor in it i would leave it all 100% original and rebuild the moter thats already in it.
guy azbell nobody said Alex was tearing it apart. This truck is still just as stock as it was but better. It’ll be rolling up and down the road just like this here pretty soon. No need to jump to conclusions.
