Man I have an 82 at home that I have been trying to get going. Getting parts is the hardest. I got this pickup for my wife and I to cruise around in when we got older. She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year and has been get worse. We watched this video together here at the hospital because it just popped up. We subscribed because we love what you did to this beautiful classic.
Surgical Precision!!!,... Greg lets his work speak for itself,......his videos are as good as the restorations,.... the golden retriever in the truck made it even better.
Everybody, including me crying we let our old yotas go... 😪😪😪😪. I had a rust free 82 4x4 longbed, 3" lift on 34's that took me ANYWHERE I pointed the front tires. Thank you for restoring this beauty.
My Dad has a 1979 Toyota Hilux which I would want revived. This has given me so many brilliant ideas in what has to be done. Want to honor him for being my pillar for all my life
Bought a 1997 toyota tacoma 4x4 last week, only 20k on the odo and pristine flawless. Collector had it in his warehouse along with dozens more! New tires went on immediately per old new ones 18 yrs old. Drove it back to Phoenix no worries! Timmy C Arizona
I love this truck. I had a 1986 SR5 and drove it from SC to Cali. Lived there for 4 years and drove it on I-5. When I got orders to NC I drove back across the US. That was a tough little truck. My family grew and I had to let it go. I’m on my second Tundra now and love a Toyota truck. My 86 was not comfortable but I loved it.
Looks amazing! These trucks were so common back in the day. I was in the class of 84! We had the best vehicles in the 80s. The Toyota's, Datsun, then Nissan Hardbodys, square body chevys, all the G body cars, this brings back good memories! Oh and the Honda ATC 3 wheelers... I had a Big Red....
Excellent! 1979 and up. Toyota 4x4. This vehicle is what created the Toyota "Tonka Toy" Legend. Everybody wanted one. This vehicle had every little fun gadgets needed to just have a ball. You can lift the suspension as high as you want up till 1984. KC lights smile away on the rear roll bar. Decals in silver and charcoal grey. SR5 package. 22R inline engine. ETC and ETC!!!! I wish Toyota can bring back the small truck just like this. Its in very big demand. Five Stars *****.
I bought my Cream SR-5 in 82' for $10K OTD and I am still in love with it today! Never sell it. It is in way better condition than this one was. In 40 years it has had a radiator, alternator and a fuel pump and nothing else. Got Doug Thorley Tri-Y header, cowl induction intake, lockers and a 5'' lift and a matching Stockland shell plus rock sliders, Budbuilt skidder and a rust free stock body! It's still so fun to drive I don't even WANT a new truck! Toyota needs to bring back the ''MINI'' Pick-Up.
When I was a little kid my dad had an 82 his was black, but it had the same decals. His was lifted and had 35” tires to a little kid it looked like a monster truck. Watching this brings back a lot of good memories
Beautiful work. By far the prettiest 82 out there. Better than it was when Toyota built it. It is the definition of what I would do if money was no object!
Truck looks amazing. I'd be afraid to drive it especially going out on some trails. It's not like u can gust go buy a new one. Good job guys u brought back the 80s...

Incredible! I've always loved these trucks since I was a kid. I have a 2004 Tacoma (bought new and will likely keep forever), but there is no comparison to the look of these classics. You guys nailed it. Wish I had one of these!
I had the long bed version of this truck. It was a great truck. Sold it because our first child was coming along and we needed more room. Bought a Chevy S10 Blazer - it was a great vehicle as well.
Absolutely gorgeous! Made to look fresh out of the 80's, but with some subtle and smart upgrades. Tube bumpers may not be my thing, but they absolutely fit this, and thank god the customer didn't want shit like light bars and LEDs all around. It looks exactly like a vintage Toyota should, and the ATC 250R in the back basically made it a dream 80's set-up. Amazing job!
A genuine automotive classic reincarnated - _better_ than when it left the original assembly plant!!! . . . A vehicle to be truly treasured and enjoyed by it's fortunate owner! . . . 💓 Brilliantly composed footage of a restomod done by experts - with _passion! . . ._ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👌 (I've only one regret; The _color,_ this pickup would in my view be *over the top* in gloss black!)
That has to be the sweetest '82 Restomod Toy 4x4. Really curious as to how many hours and material went into this one. Looks like money was not an issue. Well done to Greg and team.
Great job, nice to see things done wright!! Sick build. I was a service writer for Toyota for 15 years. I sure miss those trucks. They don't make them nearly as good these days.

I too grew up around these....I more settled on the 84-88 body due to that extra cab space, Solid front axle, and efi, but hard to smog these and carbd ones in CA, so i got a taco. This was very nicely done.
Didn't like the red at first, but when you started putting the decals on it and finishing everything up, it definitely grew on me. Subscribed! Can't wait to see more.
