All the helmets the guards are wearing are made by hand in a company in Birmingham called Firmins by one highly skilled man the was founed in 1655 they also badge caps ect not just for the army but other countries all over the world.
I was just a 7 year old when I watched the Queens coronation on a very small t.v. screen. My uncle was in the Marines and was in the parade. Very proud moment for all the family.
If I lived in the UK 🇬🇧, I'd stay up at night just to watch this. It's Spectacular how precise they are, they're all so dedicated. Not that their not already, but the horses in the parade are going to get extra loving care the next week. Bravo to them all. From an American who appreciates your hard work 🌟🥰.

This amazing pageantry and spectacle would not be possible without the huge number of trained and dedicated people doing what they do best. Yes this is my 2nd Coronation and I remember watching the one in 1953 of The Queen. I am British but will watch on Saturday evening in New Zealand which is my home now. ❤

The most impressive thing is the coordination of the different bands: no overlapping; musical progression from tune to tune. That takes a huge amount of coordination and calculation. They pull it iff every time, but the fact that they succeed doesn't make it less impressive.

My son was called in on his rest day to police this event. I work near to Parliament Square and was chatting to the officers manning the cordon at Lambeth Bridge when I left work. I love the work that the military are putting in - they are amazing and thanks to all of the police who are working extra hours to keep everyone safe.

I know I always say it but nobody can look so magnificent as the British the fantastic array of colourful uniforms the beautiful horses and I think the British way of marching is the best they are so in perfect sync it really is a magnificent sight to behold.
Beautiful military traditions, I love the one arm swing and some of the uniforms. The military band and the marching music is the best thing about this parade, and the drill movements utilized by the drum corps are awesome.

My dads family comes from England and I am very proud to be a tiny bit British. We are all excited here to watch the big event on Saturday! Got my alarm set for 4:45 AM and can’t wait! To all the guards, police, riders, military and behind the scenes workers- Be very PROUD at all the hard work and hours of preparation you have done for The Coronation. American here 🎉. Been to London many times and as usual The British look absolutely AH-MAZING in this late night practice. My dads family comes from England and I am very proud to be a tiny bit British. We are all excited here to watch the big event on Saturday! Got my alarm set for 4:45 AM and can’t wait! To all the guards, police, riders, military and behind the scenes workers- Be very PROUD at all the hard work and hours of preparation you have done for The Coronation. @@cashette = they shut down the streets that are part of the coronation route. People want to see the procession. I would hardly call London a town though. There are maps out there that show the street it follows. I'm in Canada so I'm following via TV.

I'm so grateful I'm seeing this and saving it. Such a wonderful parade to witness at 69 years of age. I never very much about the Monarchies until the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. I started following their life from them on. It's been interesting and now the Carnations 2023/May/6. This is amazing to me. Everything about it is Outstanding and Professionally done. As a 12 year old I watched this from a great vantage point outside the Dorchester Hotel.Have never forgotten it.If you can manage it in person be there! A thrilling event.

There aren't really any neighbours. Central London has one of the lowest resident populations of anywhere in the country.
Marching in time & line is amazing never mind playing an instrument & not tripping over the person in front. Awesome & looking forward to Saturday- watching with my neighbours as the start of our street get together ❤
You should look up the Ohio State Marching Band, here on UA-cam. Now *that* is something where we have you Brits beat when it comes to marching in line! Imagine weaving in and out of a line while playing an instrument? But beyond that, when it comes to Pomp and Ceremony, you guys cornered the market!
