The funeral and everything surrounding it was done magnificently well. It showcased the history of Britain and its monarchy and allowed people to get nostalgic about a bygone era. This will of course be followed up by the coronation. But despite what I said above, the monarchy is pretty much finished and there will be no more appetite for more kings and more funerals and coronations.
Thank you for the thanks. Because I personally lead a battlion of His Majesty's Royal Marines During the Procession. My regiment is a royal marine regiment but is a part of the kings guard.

By the time of her Platinum Jubilee she could barely move because of her bone cancer. She was in terrible pain but she didn't complain about it. God save our beautiful Queen🌹

These are the grandest ceremonies you would ever see, and only in the UK. Ceremonies like these that some British people just take for granted. Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth II. May the Lord bless your soul.
We don’t take it for granted. We were as mesmerised as you all. No royalist me, but this March was mind blowing. The gravitas of the music , soldiers and the queen on the gun carriage. It was surreal.
Another stately, profoundly moving procession. The British ability to carry off this sort of public ceremonial (pomp seems like the wrong word, because it's far, far more than a showy parade) is unmatched anywhere in the world. I think especially of those eight Guardsmen who carry the coffin and of the sailors of the Royal Navy who pull the gun carriage - ordinary members of the armed forces who are elevated to the public eye in such a moving and somber fashion. So much credit is due to the people who planned and carried out this extraordinary, once-in-a-lifetime ceremony.
I watched on the day and I still watch, because I honestly still can't believe she is gone. This was magnificent and so befitting a woman who did what she faithfully promised to do all those years ago when she became Queen. Sleep well now your Majesty and know that you are very missed by many.
I still get emotional watching this even now. I don’t know what it is but every time I hear Big Ben rolling in the back it makes me cry. I think part of it is the fact Big Bens being housed in the Queen Elizabeth Tower and it having been silent so long due to the restoration but tolling for our late Queen.
Beautiful, touching, elegant, precise, majestic, orderly ... this procession is all of these things, and more. Absolutely amazing how well coordinated the procession is, step by step. I think William and Harry must be remembering when they processed behind their mother's coffin.
To witness the state funeral was spectacular, all the pomp and ceremony was quite something to behold, every aspect of it was done with such class and dignity The world watched with awe
Grazie per tutto quello che hai fatto per l'Inghilterra e per il mondo. Il tuo senso del dovere è un faro che illumina i giorni a venire. Ci mancherai, regina Elisabetta.
So many see monarchs and only think of power and prestige. They see the trappings, the scepters, the crowns, the respect given to said monarchs. They see the perks, the wealth, the jewels, the clothes, the toys. They do not see the burdens. They do not see the crushing weight of so many people's hopes and dreams focused on focused on one or two beings. They do not see the targets that are brightly painted on the backs of anyone called a monarch in this day and age by MANY people for as many reasons. They do not see the weight of tradition that smothers and chokes. They do not know the angst of trying to live up to a standard that is almost impossible to meet. Then, maybe once in a lifetime, you see something like this. Queen Elizabeth was hardly perfect, and she would have been the first to say so. My Grandfather met her and that was what he said about her. "not perfect, but a good woman and a good leader'. High praise from a WWII vet and 4 star general. She was a great queen and one I would have been proud to serve her even as an American. Better her or Charles than MANY who claim leadership roles in the US these days, because Elizabeth understood and her son understands the word 'responsibility'. A word that had been all but forgotten in the name of madness and greed in the US. I cried when I watched this. Both for the UK 'and' for the US. God help us all, because without such truly noble guiding lights as Queen Elizabeth II, I fear for us all in the days to come. RIP Elizabeth II, noble queen, good leader and decent human being. You are missed by many.
Those sweet horses have garnered my attention. The 2 in front are so excited to be in such a momentous occasion, they keep throwing their heads up proudly in the air...and the one little rascal at back right won't let his partner be. A very fitting send off for a magnificent lady. I am at a loss for words. Prayers to all the family that God will comfort them in their loss. I knew this would be magnificent.
I thought I was the only who noticed that little playful troublemaker pulling the gun carriage. I was imagining her majesty giving him a right earful to settle down.😁 It made this a little less sad to watch.
For so many times we can't even imagine Her Majesty has passed through that arch, either leaving Buckingham Palace or arriving at it. She got there inside a carriage on the day of her coronation, and so often left grandiose mounting a horse and wearing a uniform to command Trooping the Colour. She leaves, now, for the last time, exhibiting the same dignity that so marked her life, somewhat further gracefully sealing the end of her glorious reign.

Good grief, can they at least walk out of the church without holding hands?
Holding hands is so gauche.
One in God eyes.
@@malcolm20091000 it's a funeral ...maybe both ..clutching tocreasure one another ..after all ...in the good old days ..both would be a little shorter from the head up
Feh! Leave them alone. Theirs is a genuine love. So what? Screw protocol and being dead stick reserved. Harry is so like Diana was, showing affection. Good for Harry and Meghan!
RIP Queen Elizabeth
Beautiful 😊
