We are witnessing actual history, it’s remained preserved and unchanged for centuries. We are seeing and hearing what was seen and heard when King Henry VIII succeeded the thrown. He may look forced, but it takes a lot of strength from your lung to shout loudly without any instrument. Maybe on video, it does not look very much, but this is what many people used to do in the past. I haven't sang in a choir since I was a child.. for so many years... but yes, I also paid my respect and attended some services in my local church. I think many people are in mourning. Shocked. Upset. I don't think people realises how much this is quite a big issue...
During the first lockdown, many brass bands came out to play, around the Christmas time. I knew knew in my gut that something was quite wrong. And the speech... was something that she did not used to say. I just knew that something awful is happening here... The lockdown has gone on for two years.. and now Russia has invaded. The British army came out of Afghanistan... and some have gone on to fight in Ukraine... I think, many people are shocked. Many foreign nationals have not been allowed to enter the UK.. since we locked down... it is not safe for them to be here. Many of us may have families that also serve in TAs too. Long live the King !

That's not entirely true about Japan. Many records were lost in the 1400s so a lot of Japanese history before that point is more myth than fact. Japan may have a single running bloodline but proving it is a different matter. England itself is at most 1200 years old and Britain is only around 300 years after the act of Union. England of 1000 years ago is very different to the Britain of 300 years ago to which we are most closely related.

Long now has the monarchy been a unique and often unheard source of ruling, and in which such a lady at work, her majesty, had been...shall we now have a stable and wealth in economy and survival enough for her son to take the throne and hopefully have little issue in keeping the pride of Britain, a noble and moreover generous one. They wen't through so much hardship in the 1940's on top of the great depression... The queen represented what a queen was in the past, rebuilt society and listened to every long since taken ruler and citizen, on their opinions. Reminds me of when Eisenhower's inauguration, a man mostly against war and hostility, rather providing needs for the people and for ingenuity, a bright future that the world was looking toward by 1953-4.

This specific Plan regulates what has to happen in which Order, when the Queen dies, including Ceremonies, Proclamations, the Lying-in-State and the Burial. Operation London Bridge was established in the 60´s, and not a few Month ago. Also, neither the Country nor the Commonwealth can be without a Leader, therefor they have to "Rush" the Proclamation of a new One. Yes, Charles automatically became King at the exact Second his Mother died, but it still has to be officially/formally Proclaimed anyways.

It won’t be that big of a deal by then, though. Depending on your age, by the time you have grandchildren, there will already be a new monarch. The only reason this generation is seeing this for the first time, is because QE became queen so young, and lived such a long life. That will likely never happen again, at least not for quite some time. What is actually historic is the idea that we will likely never see another female monarch for several generations.

I'm an American, and a family friend collected really high quality portraits of Queen Elizabeth and gave 3 to my folks as wedding presents (his collection is now in a British museum). These things hung in prominent places in our home in a rural dairy farming town in Wisconsin until I was in my 30's so I saw them all the time every day for half my life.
I always felt she was somehow symbolically, unofficially, a maternal part of the family but also because I was kind of impressed with and proud of how she conducted herself as a monarch and did her job - kind, gracious, professional, the 3 D's - duty, devotion, discretion, her staying in England and her conduct during and after WWII, etc. Old fashioned, universal values and kind of a grandmotherly demeanor.
I also, unrelated, share her name and her daughter's first two names. So just, weirdly, just always felt a strange connection. And I'm not even a monarchist and feel for the colonies and India, etc (centuries of human rights abuse and $45 trillion+ in looted resources, the kohinoor diamond, "jewel in the crown", Egyptian loot, the Elgin marbles, etc) plus I look at all the pageantry with mixed feelings - cool and interesting but a little strange and "a lot" at the same time! 🤔😸
And at the same time, recognizing that ceremony, rituals, history, traditions, etc all play an important role in a culture. And of course, the unofficial family link to my own! 😹😜😹

I had goosebumps at the hip hip horray for the King. Is amazing to watch this ancient tradition. And surprised how trained these personnel are.

This is simply historic. The amount of detail, and it's captured digitally at incredible resolution and it's not a movie. I'm about to tear up... 🥲
    Long live the King! 👑⭐

Huge responsibility like what? Doing no real work and enjoying filthy amount of riches and comforts at the expense of British taxpayer's money while heading a now meaningless and formally oppressive and immoral institution whose central tenets were looting and slavery?

Honestly, I didn't think it could happen. It seemed that Elizabeth would rule forever. But, unfortunately, such a fate awaits everyone, it has always been like this, and the Queen is no exception. Of course it's a pity. On this day, everyone mourns, even the Russians, including me. Hello to all those who read this comment. Rest in peace, Your Majesty.
