- This is a look at the new "California Compliant" Blackout Defense Quantum DTL. This rifle is the first I've seen since the ban lifted in 04' that took the AR platform to the next level with ingenious engineering.

Glad to see gun companies trying to work in everybody’s favor !
Why? Id rather companies sue the ATF in mass rather than compromise. Im so tired of compromising.
@@AJ-xc4nm im talking about us customers dude
@@jeremyfrix522i think that’s what he means. US as customers are compromising with these rifles and handguns, we’re getting a very limites supply
@@AJ-xc4nmif these companies start to sue the government. Then they will eat up all there economic resources. Then they will start to overcharge the customers. Sometimes we have take the good with the bad.
Glad your feelin better!!! We need people like you!!! Been in the same situation and it gets sketchy. Just wanted out of the hospital. I remember the smells were so powerful once I got out, like grass and the outside smells.
That Blackout defense zero trigger is one of the best triggers on the market.
Thank you!
I still admire you able to move out of California. Keep up the great work.
Wow, nice! Like the colors & set up, as well as being customizable with all part’s coming from the same supplier/builder. I appreciate you bringing this to everyone’s attention & companies working to bring California up to speed with everyone else. Though I think I’m personally still going to wait for Benitez’s rulings to get something that has everything I’m wanting & without the restrictions. Still look forward to second part & see how it performs & what your take on it is in that aspect, even if it is purely for the entertainment of it.
I like how it’s CA Compliant but also supports a suppressor, which isn’t CA Compliant.
Suppressors aren’t prohibited, I saw a guy at the range with one last week. He went through the normal process he said, it does take substantially longer.
@@claytonprzekop8907suppressors are completely one-hundred-percent banned in California
Federally legal with 200 dollar stamp from atf and huge wait.
California state felony even with atf permission .
Wow! What a nice set up!!
I have one and I love it. Customers service is awesome over there as well!
Good to see you up and about friend.
Living in CA … I love it. Cool color combos. Thanks
I love when gun designers and manufacturers get together and build a loophole firearm that not only has some very cool new features. That's also a big F, Ewe to Any 2A infringements.
I still think its better to build your own to pick exactly what you want. I did that with the ar-mag lock. Works great.
I did the same, AR Mag Locks on all three of my ARs, they work well.
How do you guys even get to that point of building your own AR? And knowing it won’t explode 😅
I just found my favorite Christmas present 😂👍🏼👌., nice model man!!!!👍🏼
It's a Beautiful Piece of Hardware.
''gucci'' 🤣😂🤣🤦♂
I think the AR MagLock GEN 4 mag release button is the only CA compliant device on the market that allows the magazine to be dropped while the upper & lower receivers are cracked open using the Kingpin/Hellfire rear takedown pin and lock the bolt back, in order to clear malfunctions. So while the model you’re reviewing doesn’t have any weird mag release button, you can’t perform any malfunction clearing because you can’t drop the mag and lock the bolt back.
Exactly. That's why it's the best system available.
@@thelittledetailscr7231how? You will always have malfunctions that do not pertain to the firearm such as bad ammunition
@gunztommiegunz the other systems do not let you release the mag with the bolt open. Only maglock.
I used a Kingpin and a Hogue Freedom fighter on a stripped lower and chose all my parts. Cool they are making things for California. I bet they want a premium for it.
The best law not written by CACAfornia is that you can move out of the State. I'm tired of being a slave to the government. They tax us as slaves.
Yes, you can also move away from America. If you are a puzzy.
Soon as everyone moves out and they steal your land/property they’ll bring back the 2nd full force, only for the rich this time
The most elite AR-15 in California is the one you build.
EXACTLY…
Lol currently building an aero m4. I approve this comment
Where may I purchase such items to assemble myself?????😅
Where do you order all the parts from to legally build one? Anyone have a link?
Primary Arms
I own one of the new ones and its amazing! I am purchasing a second upper only. They will also allow you to send them a comp magazine option too. I believe they contracted with Battle Arms Development from speaking with BAD to use their maglock technology. Triggers are amazing - I love it and their customer service is top notch and they worked with me to add a few components such as a grey magpul grip and a Surefire comp!
Cool gun, prayers for your brother.
He's in Nevada
Glad you're healing up and back to business.
That awesome saw that rifle featured on Tactical Tool Box,last year. I really was interested I called the Blackout Defense they told me they sell to California
Did you buy it?
American defense uic mod 2 ar15 is also CA compliant and is top notch and smooth reliable accurate heavy duty ar15.
Welcome back, go to see you healthy
Minus it needing to be California compliant that is literally one of the prettiest color ar's I've ever seen I want one extremely bad but at what cost and what overall weight hopefully they release an AR-10 version thats a freaking beautiful gun any gun lovers out there say that they dislike that color and it doesn't give them a gun chub they are lying that being said you need to get some irons on that thing I'm honestly not a fan of the muzzle brake style but I can see the practical purpose in it
That’s cool but I still use comp mag since it doesn’t change the actual rifle so hopefully when the assault ban is lifted I can just remove in 1 minute and have completely normal rifles.
I totally get this though.
@@faitaccompli5878 that would be clutch for the time being
I tell everyone that and idk why more people don't use it.
Just got my compmag. I do prefer to have it over going with the extra steps
This is what I’ve been thinking! I’m going to get one of these and was considering the compmag so I have a normal rifle if/when the assault ban gets lifted.
5:33 yeah because having a California compliant rifle with the ability to put silencer on it it’s so important considering it’s illegal
yeah really, most solvent traps are direct thread. 🤣😂🤣
Oooo, I’m so skeerd I need to find my calming Llama. 😉
That’s awesome! I’m in California - I WANT IT!!! 🤩
Gorgeous
Wow it’s beautiful!!!!! 🇺🇸😎👍
But probably way out of my price range 😭😭
We need a featureless option. I work at an outdoor range and every mag lock branded rifle has problems with jamming. Once jammed the only way of clearing the rifle is having to disassemble the mag in order to get the bolt to go forward then the mag can be replaced. Much easier to drop a mag on a featureless rifle plus the ability to use our freedom week mags. I've heavily been looking at blackout defense for a while but won't pull the trigger on it until I can get it featureless
What you need is new government. Stop trying to put a Band-Aid over things. Dig deep into Ca politicians. And take out the infectious ones OUT IF THERE.
@mikesuch9021 trust me I couldn't agree more, however until that happens featureless is still safer than maglock
I like the comp mag. Easiest option to covert back to a normal mag if needed.
Noob here. So, having a fixed mag allows us to have adjustable stock? Would like to know. Thank you in advance.
how do you actually crack open the rifle, what is involved with the button, can you show this
Should check out the Wolfpack armory it’s a pretty sweet setup
I have tried to order one for me, but for someone who is not well educated in the names and parts, it is very difficult. Is there a list of all the parts ordered from their site to replicate AR showed here?
High priced gun, but oh so pretty. I've been trying to see how they maglock works in their gun, so thanks for showing that. First channel maybe that did so... Thanks
What kit is required to convert the blackout defense back to a regular Ar-15 without maglock? Because I’m moving out. Appreciate any advice.
If you get one with the comp mag. It can be converted in less then 1 minute
I’m in Southern Calif, do you have any knowledge of any FFL retailers in this area that Blackout Defense deals with?
I didn’t see any online approximately 4 to 5 months ago .
First thing I did when I got a Juggernaut 3 years ago, is replace their kit with the AR Maglock kingpin. I don't even know what Juggernaut was thinking.
With a mag lock, can you have a 30 round magazine in CA or still limited to 10?
how did you get sepsis? open wound that got infected? I've heard of people getting sepsis from paridontal disease
Very fine piece! But I’d still take my DDM4V7 any day of the week!
That's scary looking. I can't believe that California allows it to be sold there!
A fin is added to the grip, this way it won't look as scary..
😆🤣
@FLATUANT A fin is needed if the feature that separates the upper and lower to release the mag wasn't present. The way it's set up here requires nothing to be California compliant.
this guy's shilling, i have a super duty. wtf?
It’s not black which totally throws Newsom off.
Glad you're back !!! Love the show!! 3/88🇺🇸🏁🏴☠️
Sexy gun. Love the setup.
Does anyone know the exact build that he has so you can custom it on the website?
Can anyone explain to me how do u clear a double feed safely
Good video I bought the Mag button from Juggernaunt 2 years ago, thanks stay safe 👍🏼
The Quantum DTL makes other "High End" AR-15s feel cheap. It pretty much ruined other AR's for me
Where can I order one at
I will stick with my Juggernaut JTE 15, I would have to convert this rifle to include the Hellfire Kit. Looks good though!
Is this the 13.9 or 16? In your opinion, which do you like better?
Baddass❤❤
You should really look at Warrior Systems way better, and they’re manufactured in California by the same company that owns Salient
Incorrect statement. No bolt lock on the right side. NOT “completely ambidextrous.” “Almost completely ambidextrous.” UA-camrs, please stop stating that it is completely ambidextrous when it is not. -my pet peeve
I have too say 7075 aluminum is AERO SPACE Standard not 6061
If you don't know what that means is the Temper in 7075 goes into Space Craft
I have a Blackout Defense 3.5 trigger and it’s the real deal. Looking to grab a space gray upper soon.
🇺🇸 🦅 2A
Does this have a bolt catch? Can you get it with that feature. Ca compliance, like using the juggernaut, removes that ability. I saw the some maglock pin keep that ability. Does this rifle keep all the normal abilities as a normal AR would have?
The Kingpin / Hogue Freedom Fighter combines is very reliable and allows you to keep the bolt catch.
Not bad 4 Comi Cali Compliant
I think the lwrc CA rifle is better.
@@Shadowdancer777 I’m looking at the DD111 m4, but the price is crazy. I might have to sell a body part.
Never thought I'd be envious of California's gun laws... thanks WA
Man I feel you pain in WA. Hopfully we get some wins here in court soon
How does this compare to an ar15 with a Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter kit?
I dont see it for sale anywhere. Where can I buy
the new mag lock only splits the recievers like 2mm and its super subtle.
I like it
What about that radin model 1
Can those California legal feature be removed if one decides to move to a state that allows you to have a normal AR?
Yes. It fully can be converted to a standard rifle by removing Cali options without any modification to the rifle.
The easiest way to convert would be to order it with the comp mag option
Price range for your build ??? Great content; thank you
With mag lock Rifles you cant use freedom week mags, [standard capacity]. With featureless you can, i like grips like the juggernaut grip
I thought they went back on that and its on hold right now so we cant use standard mags. 10rd only
@PLT123 I've been out of the loop I'll get back to you on this in a day or two.
@@PLT123 I've been out of the loop. I'll get back to you in a day or two.
Nice AR! Are you able to share your build specs for California?
You mention using the muzzle device with a suppressor. California's laws hold suppressors to be illegal. Penal Code § 12520.
These guns laws in California are just insane to keep up with 😅might just move to Nevada
Yep! I move to rural Nevada back in 2017. I will never and ever move back to California.
CA doesn't seem so bad now that Inslee passed the assault weapons ban here in WA. Can't even buy parts anymore.
Hell must have frozen over 😂
Just go to Idaho
Is clearing malfunctions harder with it?
I want one ..
Pretty Sharp unit for us Californians.
wonder if it would be Canadian compliant
😆🤣
The action is banned, there is an AR180 type rifle, the lower has different spacing on trigger pins and upper lower assembly pin locations making it not an AR-15, Made by crusader arms that's Canada legal last time I saw it announced a few months back.
@warrenharrison9490 thanks I'll look in to it
He said it's "completely ambidextrous" but it's not. The right side doesn't have a bolt lock/ hold open feature. Guess he needs to learn what "completely" means..
Will you drop uscca since they have a clause that voids coverage. When you become charged with a crime...?
How much do they go for?
Can it be swapped back to regular format for when we escape this state and its ridiculous rules? 😂
I digg, it except the price.
CA compliant...automatic disqualification
it only shoots blanks and only on alternate sundays.
The Bolt locks Back????
can anyone explain to me why this mag lock is better than the mag release already used on weapons?
It is in no way better
It is a workaround for California’s silly “detachable” magazine” laws
@@amsb4dafunk558 i figured that, but it seems like it could be modified to be better, not with whatever california requires, but the concept.
The one from warrior systems does it even need to have the button and it’s got a way better system for California
👍
Still looks heavy
Sons of Liberty, TEXAS‼️🤣
How much?
Beautiful!!!👀👀🤔
Still will take a ddm4v7 over this
Yeah, that little button is nothing special. It’s made by juggernaut, and the kit is called hellfire
I'm sure its amazing, but the 50 shades of brown is hurting my eyeballs.
What was the point of the barrel device if it is designed to be used in CA since suppressors are not legal in CA regardless of ATF approval or not. Just to snub your nose at CA? No other option to switch it out with something else?
Yeah, i hate proprietary rifles.
How do you clear jams with these disabled life saving tools?
Back the blue when they arrest you for victimless crimes?
Yeah. I was back the blue until I spent 3 years in Cali. Those guys ain’t on our team.
even thought its california Compliant, i dont feel comfortable if i was facing legal issues. I Prefer more strict features like those found on the springfield armory AR-15 saint....
also, as much as we dont like it.... Court isn't exactly Scientific! basically you are relying on the individual opinions of the jury. if the jury feels a sense of negativity, it does have some weight in their decision.
