      @@keyoflife24I also did this the same way tuna said and it works. You take the maglock off and grind/file the top down to the point where it will fit in the gap that the hellfighter opens up and put it back together. Easy peasy. Press the hellfighter button then press the maglock/release and it will come out like a regular mag release. So you press 2 things not one. 🤷‍♂️ easy

    I agree although i don't have the houge I do have the Ar Maglock which is very inconsistent. There is a small screw on the Mag release side that secures the mag release button if you get it too tight it wont work if the button is loose than release the Mag without breaking the action.

    The juggernaut tac system is annoying AF when you bolt locks back after the last round. You have to drop the bolt back into battery, then unlock the receiver and then drop the mag, then click the receivers back together and then put in the loaded mag. I’m always thinking something is wrong with my system because I forget to drop the bolt. In addition, this is super dangerous if your not sure the weapon is clear when your going through the reloading process. All these CA laws seam to do is make an amazingly safe and well working gun unsafe for the user and anyone down range.

      Look a little further in the video. You’ll notice that my recommended setup is on a fully ambidextrous AR pistol. Ambi mag release, and ambi bolt catch. The takedown pin is setup for right hand, but can be easily manipulated with the left hand. However, they do have a “hyper switch” product that makes takedown easier for lefties. armaglock.com/product/hyperswitch-for-223-5-56-ar-maglock-ar-15-223-5-56-hyperswitch/

    • @Biidi2001
      @Biidi2001 10 місяців тому

      The Hyperswitch isn't that good. I have it on mine and it doesn't keep the upper in place like the Kingpin. The upper will flop all the way open. They have a buffer with a screw to keep the upper from flopping open but I find that all too often the buffer rotates so the screw is on the bottom and then the upper won't open enough for the maglock to work.
      I too am a lefty and if I took my AR out to play more often i'd swap the Hyperswitch for a Kingpin and learn to suffer with the inconvenience.

    Unless I'm mistaken you missed a critical part. The Hogue kit requires drilling a hole in your receiver. Probably not a big deal for a gunsmith with a vice or a mill, but not something I'm going to try at home. I'm notoriously bad at drilling a straight hole and its not worth the risk (to me) of screwing up a good lower. I thought regardless of mag release you could not have a barrel less than 14.5 attached to a lower in this tyrannical state. I’m pretty sure the law folder setup is also a no go considering it can still fire “A” round. Quick question for you I noticed what your shooting to me It looks like an AR pistol. I have the same set up. You have the FDE pistol brace on the end. My question for you is I noticed you have the folding pistol brace is it still OK here in California to have the folding brace if it’s an AR pistol because I thought if it was less than 30 inches from the end of the barrel to the folded stock when it’s collapsed, I couldn’t do it. I’m just asking for your advice because I can’t find it anywhere where it’s illegal or if it’s legal, just looking for some advice, I just learned the difference between a standard rifle and a AR pistol and AR pistol can’t have a stock or a sliding stock that you’re able to put up against your shoulder either a pistol brace or just no stock at all like I said, I’m just looking for advice. Wanna see what you have to say about the folding stock mine came with the folding stock when I purchased the AR pistol about six months ago from a friend and my AR pistol is registered. I keep a copy of my registration in the handle with a little compartment just in case I ever get harassed about it when I’m at the gun range. I was told by a buddy to do that if anybody tries to give you a hard time telling me it’s illegal to have it, even though I legally possess it. thank you in advance. Looking forward to your comments.
