The victim was an engineer and he told 2 of his friends/co-workers that if anything happened to him, his wife was responsible. That's left out here, but was part of the original 2008 "48 Hours" episode.

She could have dragged his body. She may have had help in the form of a man, perhaps. Discounting the blood that wasn’t tested, how could his blood spatter get on the ceiling? A nosebleed wouldn’t do that.

Clearly you didn't listen. Crime scene technicians falsely identified stains they found as blood - which weren't blood. Thousands of cases are now subject to retrial because of similar corrupt scientists. This type of corruption, unfortunately, has been brought to light repeatedly. See investigations into the FBI Crime Lab in Quantico and similar issues in Colorado DNA testing for examples.

He had no tranquilizer in his system, and the blood was on the syringe, not in it. The evidence doesn’t line up. How is someone bludgeoned to death in the head while laying in bed and only leave a few drops of blood on the pillow?

Anyone who has animals, especially dogs know, if you are ever bitten by your own dog while trying to break up a dog fight or for any reason, blood can hit the ceiling. The force of the blood squirt depends on the psi of the jaw and location of the bit. Unfortunately Bob can't give us a run down of how many times he received bumps and bruises from animals.

Yeah divorcing for financial reasons. $250,000 life insurance policy. No blood on his running pants or shoes. Shoe laces tied bizarrely. Went "jogging" in the heat of the day with full belly of mashed potatoes and steak. His body was not at the "crime scene" three hours after he left to go jogging according to eyewitnesses. Wife was seen driving truck near where his body was found. Tire tracks near body matched her truck. Rope around his neck matched their rope at the ranch. Syringe in the garbage can with his blood on it and her fingerprint in said blood showing traces of horse tranquilizer. Obscene amounts of blood on the mattress and floor to the point it was dripping into the room below. Blood on the ceiling. Blood splatter consistent with repeated bludgeoning. Her defense team accusing her own daughter of murdering him and transporting his body (because the evidence that he was killed in his room was too overwhelming for them to even want to contest that). What kind of mom allows her defense team to accuse her daughter in order to save herself?? Daughter pleading the 5th when asked about aiding her mom. And even though MOST murders are the spouse.. LOTS of men get violently killed when out jogging. You know... it's a huge problem in this country for men to jog alone. I'm sure it was a random attack 😂 It sucks that the investigators didn't test all 20 blood samples because now a guilty woman is going free on a technicality. People just want to hate on the police and justice system so badly it clouds their judgement.

I watched the full episode and still think she did it. Too much blood under those rugs for a nose bleed. Syringe with her fingerprints. Tire tracks. Undigested food in his stomach. She must have had help. Perhaps her daughter’s. I wonder why the truck is never mentioned in terms of being tested for blood. In my view she sat 20 years instead of being let out on parole after 25.

That's how the system works, sending people that are innocent or guilty to prison. It's just like the Scott Peterson case when detectives say Laci sightings were not important at the time and also ignoring witnesses that saw her that day or ignoring evidence that went into a different direction but had tunnel vision on Scott and used the affair as a motive. then she became an informant and recorded him which makes him look bad bc he was lying to her to begin with and then police got recordings of him lying to amber.

You just dont find tiny blood spots at a place where a person was bludgeoned to death. There should have been pool of blood and a blood soaked mattress, carpet etc. It is laughable that Jane Dorotik was convicted based on tiny spots of blood that also include dog's blood. And how could she have carried the husband's body which is twice her weight? No wonder the prosecutor office decided not to proceed with a second trial. Jane Dorotik was deprived of 20 years of freedom due to shoddy investigation and prosecution works.
