One thing I love is that Alex’s actor love the first mummy film so much he said he watched it over 30 times and turned down other roles so he could be in this it’s so wholesome my heart!
I seem to be the only one who didn't find Alex annoying in this movie, I mean he's a kid, and a pretty smart and brave one. Sure he caused the whole problem but a least he outsmarted this guy and knows a lot about Egypt. I think he's adorable.

Well Alex is the son of a really badass mummy ass kicking archaeologist who's also fought in wars and served with the French Legion, while the other one was the son of a stupid king who got manipulated so easily.
I found lots of Star Wars elements in this movie, evil man in the black robe, magic works like the force, an ancient temple, holocorn like stuff, and some troopers that always miss their target...
Can we appreciate how hilarious and low key cute Alex & Loch- Nah’s sibling rivalry relationship is. Lol. Then to see Hipmotep back in action more powerful than ever. Bruh, this movie is one of the few sequel’s that not only lived up to the original, but indeed surpassed it.
That's a bit of an overstatement if I'm to be honest. The story and overall concept of this movie was good but the CGI Dwayne Johnson ruined it for me. Still a pretty good sequel although it didn't deliver the same vibe as the first installment.
What I like about Imhotep is that he ain't that evil. He does evil things because he has grudge with humanity that cursed him and abandoned him for being in love. But there is more reserved side to him where he tries to present compassion.. to a degree, or atleast neutrality towards people that he deals with. He doesn't mess around with his servants, he isn't trying to intimidate or hurt Alex, even after his escape, and he even punishes his goons for shooting at him because he needs him alive. And even tho we have no implications of it I don't believe that Imhotep is evil enough to kill a child once their purpose is finished. Atleast not personally. He does want to take over the Anubis army but not for himself to just conquer the world. I honestly think it is to make sure that the world cannot endanger his relationship ever again. To cleanse it of people who would stand against what he considers pure and life worthy.
Funnily enough, regarding Sauron. He wasn't even as black and white evil as Palpatine. Sure, he was evil in the views of those living in the West but in the end, who caused more damage during the war of the ring to Mannish nations and the lands as a whole. Sauron, or wannabe Dark Lord Saruman? The Easterlings and Haradrim under Sauron's rule lived pretty wealthy lives, only needing to worship him as a god in return. Saruman, meanwhile, destroys entire nations worth of land, forests and people all for the purpose of industrialization and trying to impress his new boss
I mean, he basically wants to take over the world. Though in this movie, it's more his girlfriend that's pulling his strings. You see it all the way up to the end. She wants him to rule the world so she can rule by his side. And then when she abandons him, he basically lets himself die. He's evil, but he's not the most evil person in this movie.
Hmm. That's a hard one. I mean, Hitler was by all accounts kind to his dog Blondi and even treated Eva Braun with affection. His motivations also weren't for himself but to cleanse the world of those he did not consider pure and life worthy. Doesn't mean he wasn't a genocidal psychopath, though.
Poor dude has died THREE times because of her. His original death centuries ago, his death at the end of the first movie, and then his death in this one when she abandons him.
