    Hi Chaitali,i have seen all of your Uploaded video.i don't even know how long have i been subscribed to someone on youtube? But yes , I just want to inform you that I must admit your professionalism and expertise. .Am also into gardening.If possible please ans my Two Questions. No 1).How should i protect Rose plant in Summer season?No 2)How should i protect my Cactus and Succulents in Rainy season? Thanks and regards.

    • @chaitalisarkar9154
      @chaitalisarkar9154  6 років тому +1

      Thanks Ayan!
      During summers, the rose plant has burnt leaves, with few or no flowering. It's sad to see the once resplendent flower looking so dull & dreary. Keep it in partial shade. It bounces back in the monsoons. As for cactus and succulents, keep it in sunshine, water only and only if the surface goes crack dry. However, if you see that the edges of the succulents are drying, get it to semi shade and water even less. Happy Gardening 👍

      The clever time to sow seeds is within 6 months from the date of purchase from ebay or from the time of plucking the seeds. But if you germinate 1 year old seeds it won't germinate 100%. I germinated petunia seeds inside the fridge with a sealed cup with cover and it germinated even in summer season inside the fridge with 24 hours tiny bulb light inside the fridge. It should stay inside the fridge in middle shelf under the bulb light till it reaches 5 leaves.

    Hi! I have one question. How do you keep up with dead heading and watering with all these pots and flowering plants you have? I don’t have nearly as many as you do and it’s very time consuming especially during spring and summer months. Thanks! Do you water by hand or do you have a drip system in your pots?

    • @chaitalisarkar9154
      @chaitalisarkar9154  6 років тому +2

      Yaz Q I water by hand!! And manage to trim, cut, dead head too!! Two hours in the morning takes care of all this 👍

    I have noticed you have no Adonidia palms or soursop fruit trees? Or Red sisters Hawaiian TI plants? These are so beautiful. I saw a man from Sweden who only uses Pumice, with great success. He says pumice gives the roots air it needs. Maybe Hydroleca is good also? Does it mater if plant pot is dark or see through or glass ? I so love the variated bourgainvilla plants.

    • @chaitalisarkar9154
      @chaitalisarkar9154  6 років тому

      Yes I would want to add these in my collection 👍!! Yes pumice stone is very good because it traps air. I think the material used for pots is more important than the colour!! Bougainvillea from cuttings are very delicate, it would be preferable to buy a sapling. Bicolour, and even tricolour are pretty common.

    • @garymarshall1246
      @garymarshall1246 6 років тому

      Can pumice be good for Adonidia seedlings also?

      @chaitalisarkar9154  6 років тому

      Devarajee Y, that's so sad 😫 because chrysanthemums are very sturdy plants. There can be few reasons : when you repotted to a bigger pot, the delicate roots may have got damaged or the roots rotted because of over watering or the new transplanted plant was not kept in the shade for a few days to stabilize. Next season I'm sure you won't face any more problem 👍

      Ankita Yadav, water every third day, only if the surface is dry. Do let me know what manures are available, then I can help you. NPK, mustard cake, bone meal etc.

      Ankita Yadav, I hope N, nitrogen part is zero? Drench the plant with it, as it is a foliar spray, and let it trickle into the soil as well.

    I have some experience in growing Petunias. Each flower will stay active for a week and dies and each plant will make around 30 flowers and the whole plant is very sensitive and dies in summer even if I water as it can't tolerate heat wave. We need to collect the seeds for the next winter season. Germination part is the most difficult for me as 6 out of 50 seeds reached flower stage from germination stage. How did petunias survived in the wild forest million of years ago when humans's didn't even know how to make fire? Even if I take utmost care most of them die but how did it survived in the forest and never became extinct? Is it some kind of Darwin's theory of natural selection. Genesis states that God said let there be Light, let there be petunias and it happened. Heavenly paradise is eternal but not material paradise.

      Hello Neerja! You've seen my plants, without pinching they have taken that round shape because that's a petunia speciality, unlike the chrysanthemum pompom variety, where one needs to regularly pinch it to get the desired shape.
      If your petunias are trailing naturally, put it in hanging baskets, they'll look beautiful 😌, or else do pinch them for the desired globe look! All the best 👍
