Good afternoon Mam Yes you live in Paradise of beautiful flowers, colourful Coleus, Boganvelia and many other beautiful plants, very nice arrangements too I have a verigated Boganvelia with pink flowers you showed on starting. Actually I had cut it to pieces and wanted the cuttings to multiply. Only the Mother plant has sprouted now into stems but others (3) ones have not shown any improvements since 19th of Nov 17 I seek your advice on what to do with these cuttings which are between 1"- 1.5" thick Should I remove and replant the cuttings or what?thanks for reading long
Som Tandon thanks 😊 and the worry is truly evident! See if you can lightly peel off the cutting. If it's green inside, then it's alive and there's a chance of leaf sprouting in March which is the ideal time. If not, take fresh cuttings and you should soon expect good results 👍

Beautiful Bougainville. I have three Bougainvilles in big pots and have placed them in a sunny spot on the terrace where they get almost 6 hrs of sun. I had pruned their branches only once hoping to get them to branch out more. However though they have flowers all throughout the year they don't seem to be growing in height. What should I do to make them bigger. Please help😃
Sarah George thanks 😊!! This is the season to prune, besides the monsoons. Within days you'll see new leaves and shoots. Let them grow. In the monsoons again trim the ends. Then you'll see the plant with grow tall and not straggly but bushy too. Also take out some soil from the pots, and fill with new soil or compost or dried cow dung. All the best 👍

That's wonderful. I loved ur advice that not to use any fertilizers, simply because I don't have any of them. One should treat nature with nature only. Kindly suggest best time for propagation, I live in MP with current temperature is 45 degree and rains are 1 month arround. Rgds Mayank
Shibani thank you 😊!! The Chinese ones are stunted and grow in dense clusters, while the desi one will pull up height unless you keep trimming to make it bushy & the clusters are not so tightly packed.
How you are maintaining the Terrance from water? What all the precaution you taking please do one video. Still surprise too see how you setup the fountain without any water drainage affect the bottom...
You can check my video on water fountain, there's no continuous supply of water required!! And also another video on lawn & hedges. The floor has rubber matting.

I have failed so many times in propagating bouganvillea that I have almost lost the confidence to continue in that direction. Your video was relishing. I think I will try the propagation again. I, however, have two bouganvilleas who were all fine till last week. And now I notice that the new buds have white color patches. My bouganvillea is pink and this is unusual because now it is two colored. And some are solely white. What could be the reason for this?
I was told the white Bougainvilleas can pick up color from another plant when get get close. I had purchased two plants one white and one dark pink, put them in my car by the time I got home my white had turned light pink. I called the nursery and was told because they were close together the white became pink. It did go back to white. Nature is magic.
I have got a Jade but I don't get sunlight, will the plant survive? also the soil is normal sticky red soil normally found in Maharashtra. please advise, I really want it to survive.
Sukanya the jade is a succulent, check out its fleshy leaves! That means it holds water. So the soil should be free flowing and porous, as in sandy. If it's sticky and water retention is high, the poor plant may not survive. And it does well in diffused light, as in verandahs and balconies. You could use cocopeat suitable for succulents.

My bougainvillea plant is in the pot keeping in the balcony. Getting full sun. But poor thing is flowers are very rare. Only few of them even sometimes only. Same thing happening with hibiscus plant also. After I pruned them never seen any flowers. Please help me out.
angel mat, I think your plants could do with a heavy dose of organic manure as in compost, bone meal & dry cow dung. Make a mixture of these. Remove some soil and add this. Check the drainage hole if choked with roots. Both your plants need warmth. So if temperature is still low, then wait for temperature to pick up!
Now even mine has reduced flowering. This is the growth period, let it grow to its maximum. When the right temperature will come, automatically the colour will appear 👍
How many u propagated & distributed for free, if u r so passionate about them?....as much as I know they charge(Nursery) 700 INR for 3 years old plant.....video is free to watch but plants....Hmmmmm.... they are expensive.......

Yes they'll definitely flower! We prune bougainvillea and other plants too, to encourage more branching & hence more flowers 😊👍

All the best 👍, but you need tremendous patience & a suggestion, monsoon is the best time for propagation through cuttings!
