I've read Silmarillion, Hobbit & LOTR many times starting at age 12. By the time I was a grownup I'd noticed one thing about Galadriel - if trouble was coming she'd disappear. And she'd disappear without warning anybody else. She had the "Sight" afterall. If people had been paying attention I can imagine a scenario where...."Yo, Bob! Where ya going?" Oh, heyTom! Leaving town - just saw Galadriel leaving." "Sh!t! Martha! Grab the kids - Galadriel left!"
Not entirely true. She did ride with Gandalf, Sauroman, and Elrond to put the boots to Sauron when he was in Dol Guldor. She also went back to Dol Guldor during the events of LOTR and tore it down to the foundations.
Bless you. Never watched it but this is good to cleanse any confusion. I hope the real thing gets made someday! Amazon is out of their minds just winging a fanfic because they legally can’t make the actual Silmarillion
I haven't read your comments, so forgive me if someone has expressed the meaning of the lyrics. It's about "The Reaper" enticing someone to commit suicide. It eludes to her struggling to choose life, when she is so weak in her despair. He finally convinced her to take her own life. This is truly a sad song that grabs you and tells you to beware of being at peace and comforted. The beauty of life is in the struggle. Cliché, I know, but we are alive when we feel. My Son had the Drummer, Albert Bouchard as his Music Teacher. He played with him. What a gift.
I enjoy how thorough your videos are! Hate to be the one to tell you though... the letter "C" in elvish names is pronounced hard. Like "Keleborn" or "Kelebrimbor" etc. Easy mistake to make! Good thing the showrunners had access to the appendices with the pronunciation guide or they might have fucked that up too haha
This show has absolutely nothing to do with The Silmarillion or any of J.R.R. Tolkiens work. This is a show that is in its own category of fan fiction. Actually, I wouldn't even consider the show runners to be fans of this material to be honest. Real fans wouldn't desecrate the original material to the extent these two idiots who run this show have done.
