8:14 as a swede I can confirm. It is funny to confuse Americans by telling them they should use the "Automatisk Fart Systemet" I think that's what we call it. The AFK level to ur back left, right next to the data cartridge

You know, I'm not sure how ATIS works in DCS. In real life of course, you have the ATIS frequency. In DCS, I believe there is an option in the mission editor, but I'll look into it and get back to you. In the DCS Viggen specifically, the QFE of each waypoint can be found in the kneeboard card that I keep pulling up, automatically generated as you place a waypoint on the map, as the plane is so reliant on this information.
Ok so it looks like ATIS in DCS is only provided through a server-side script, and is relayed to you through the SRS mod. So it would only work on multiplayer servers that have it set up, like Hoggit. I guess the base DCS game as it exists does not have ATIS feature built-in.
Don't be intimidated! It is very simple once you make that initial break-through. And then it is very fun to fly. I'll get back to making some basic tutorials in it.

Haha omg if regs applied to DCS I have a lot of ASAPs to fill out. Like… 91.103… 91.15… 91.111 or 91.13 are ones that come to mind off the top of my head. Lol Can you imagine? We’d be screwed. Although when playing dcs I do get this instinctive urge to slow down at 10,000, which is pretty funny.
There are 2 knobs to change the maverick screen in brightness and contrast. I dont know why no one on UA-cam uses them but it makes seeing things a lot easier ;)
Jammer question. I thought it is a DCSism that jamming only lowers the radar cross-section of the AC with the pod. Can a Viggen with a pod support others without one?

I feel like Viggens has a really fast playstyle compared to something like the F16 or the F/A18
and that looks really fun
It sure is an adrenaline rush, but it's not as capable as the 4+ gen fighters. But in my opinion, way more fun!
