Looking at this video there is no fault to either driver the overtaking vehicle was over 1.5 meters away and passed safely cannot se an issue and none should be made either
Not sure how you worked that out. Remember the riders handlebar are further out than the back wheel. Driver less than 50cm away. Also shouldnt be crossing markings unless safe to do so.
@@TheKeirsunishi Lets be honest very hard for a driver to get out the vehicle and measure 1.5 meters, people need to drive safely and give all road users respect never going to happen and with insurance through the roof i am sure more people will be uninsured
@@brianchester4218 You aren't expected to get out of your vehicle and measure it. If you need to do that to give you a rough estimate then I would recommend you do it whilst your vehicle is stationary and use your basic judgement to transfer this new found knowledge to when you are in a moving vehicle. 1.5 metres was decided as to give you a little leeway 10 or 20cm or so, the van driver in the video was clearly closer than a metre. If you are still struggling, maybe you need to consider handing in your license as this issue with your judgement is likely affecting the rest of your driving ability and you are a hazard without even realising. Not entirely sure why you have brought insurance into the equation.
@@TheKeirsunishi Why not cyclists are road users, all should have some form of insurance in case they hit my car, also bike should have MOT so they are safe to travel on road and take a test also and possible tax why not, i am a very safe driver and considerate of all road users but there are to many people with cameras playing they are the victim, remember the gentleman in London who did it for a living
@makecyclingsafeagain6575 so someone sells a car that's upset you (which seems to be just about anything) my wife buys that car and someone has a go at her that's watched your stupid videos? That's OK.
Looking at the thumbnail it looks like if the cyclist was riding reasonably close to the kerb, the van would have cleared him by a metre or so.
Could be time of the year but my word driving is awful around here right now! Stay safe
I was thinking that! You too!

Police disagree as do I. Essex Police took action, complain to them.
@@BibbidiBobbidiB00 I only report dangerous drivers, I don't report all of every journey.
Police are very supportive, they are not non events, that is why the police take action. Drive safe.
If anyone considers that trivial it tells you a lot about their standard of driving.

Plenty of room for the cyclist. But they want 8ft
Police disagree, go complain to them.
@@makecyclingsafeagain6575 not sure how you calculated that, your maths must be wrong. 1.5m is roughly 5ft, not 8

Why post peoples regs on youtube. Multiple people can drive the same vehicle and people also sell vehicles on.
So it only identifies the vehicle not the driver, what's the issue.
@makecyclingsafeagain6575 exactly that it's the driver not the vehicle 🙄 as said people sell there vehicles
@@FoookOff so it doesn't matter, then.

@FoookOff complain to the former driver.
