Thank you! Great beginner video. I just got my double in the bag two weeks ago. I wasn’t sure where to start. This is perfect. Thank you for your tips and for your wisdom.
Great tips, just installed the double end bag and, as you said, I was right now starting to over analysing the ball's movement! Thanks a lot for your suggestion, Master! Ciao
this channel is SUPER underrated, I remember when quarantine started and I wanted to get into boxing, but of course the gyms were closed for the time being. I think it was your first or second virtual pad work videos that I started with, and It was a great starting workout and gave me a good idea of what I should be working on in terms of form footwork. Since I'm not obviously hitting any pads, I still payed attention to my feet & hip movement. Good stuff!
Nice channel man..The DE bag has been a challenge .whenever I make it to Thailand, I will check out your gym. At first I thought you were here in the states..
What is the purpose of the Double End Bag training? What aspect of boxing is it training? My boxing coach just said that's for speed and reaction but just wondering if there is more purpose to it.
Love that question. Well apart from the obvious development of speed, reaction , coordination and rhythm, I'd like to approach it like this... If the ball is coming towards you, past it's middle axis I like to see it as a punch the defend. But if it's along it's middle axis or bouncing laterally, I like to see it as a human (opponent's head) In theory, if u can hit a very awkward moving ball then it might make a head easier to hit.
Watching this made me realize that my garage DE bag isn't properly installed. Any tips in figuring out how tight the bungee should be? Is that a counterweight on the bottom of yours? Mine is doing circles no matter what I do
I'd say somewhere in between, setting it too lose will have slower rebound which means timing is harder, setting it too tight means faster rebound and a beginner will have difficulty on timing.
Thanks for showing this. We just got a double end bag for our home garage workouts. We will need to work on just "tapping the knuckles" close range at first. Question = do you recommend timed sessions for beginners? 1 - 2 or 3 minutes on bag? Thanks, Eric. * subscribed!
@@thebangkoklion7654 thank you! I'm trying to learn something new after a couple decades of N. Shaolin martial arts but have always had a curiosity in boxing. Eric

Hi, how to set the elastics for a beginner? Almost tight or quite loose?
I'd say somewhere in between, setting it too lose will have slower rebound which means timing is harder, setting it too tight means faster rebound and a beginner will have difficulty on timing.
Rhythm is everything 💯
Sure is!

Which size Double End Bag is better for what purposes, 6", 7" or 9", and which brand do you think is better, Title, Cleto Reyes, Everlast or Ringside?
