None of the other players has gone through what she’s gone through, all because of her race! She has the extra burden that the others don’t have to deal with!! And that’s makes her the GOAT also. And after years of this type treatment on and off the court, she started pushing back, and that’s when the racists went off the rails. We can insult you and verbally abuse you, and if you push back, we will try to destroy you!!
@secrets.295 what special treatment yall hate her so much that she keep on shutting you guys up. Come better than that because she work for everything despite all the name calling, sexist remarks and distasteful behavior yall put out.
I remember when that incident happened with that guy and there were some people calling Serena a drama queen for saying all she said. I was so angry at that because people actually thought it wasn’t that serious. I had a “heated exchange “ with an idiot who said that until I reminded it(yes I call it an it) about the incident with Monica Seles and that Serena’s sister was murdered about 3 years prior to this match. . After my comment it deleted all of its comments and it slithered back under the rock it crawled out from underneath.
Yep and to this day some people even ESPN commentators and retired pros say Richard and Venus were lying when they reported racial epithets shouted out them throughout the match at Indian Wells. They call them mere “accusations” which is disgraceful.
Sharapova didn’t play great this match. Serena even said so afterwards. Serena played really well though and apparently Maria was screaming in the hallway after “what am I supposed to do when all her shots land on the baseline.” This match sealed the deal, Maria would never believe she had the ability to beat Serena after this match.
Maria didn’t even play that badly, Serena just never let her have a chance to get into the math. Serena took away Maria’s time from the very first point. Against any other player, Maria would have won handily
@@anthonyryanmauro I would have to disagree! I think this match foreshadowed their very one sided rivalry- Maria just didn’t have the confidence when she played Serena- the match that displayed belief from Maria’s side would have to be the 2018 Charleston qf match.
I find the way Serena expressed about the man hilarious, like too polite and specific and talking to herself 😂"I mean he said some evil things, it was crazy. I couldn't believe whatt came out of his mouth. And as an african american I'm not gonna stand for it"
Serena was surrounded by racist and sexist enemies throughout her entire career yet she managed to be the best of all. A true icon, a LEGEND
We call her the 🐐 for a reason👑

No matter the score, the intensity between these two will always be there!
True true Serena loves Sharapova

The face at 8:53 just SCREAMS “Daddy said this Meldonium would WORK…”
It worked against lesser players. Against Serena it was useless.
Both super players.

agree with everything until the last sentence. this match had no significance in their rivalry.

@@dosensadif6585 it wouldn’t have made a difference and I call bs
@@anthonyryanmauro Um this is the match the officially sealed the deal.

Serena demolished Sharapova again here in just a few months after the trashing in the Australian Open Final
Serena SUPER
