I come back to this to remind myself how supreme Venus athleticism was she was unmatched the power off her balls straight bullets her ruthless attitude when she’s focus is scary when she’s in top form

This was a revenge on Sharapova from Venus for beating Serena in the 2004 final, but little did she know that her own sister would go on a 20 match winning streak against Sharapova and would never lose to her ever XD

Exactly! Never thought I'd wish to Sharapova again but the ladies of that era would smash the current top 10. Maybe Sabalenka, maaaaybe Rybakina could rock with them, but that's about it. The current crop is so weak and inconsistent and flakey overall.

Venus is on fire here I've watched this several times I still fist pump whenever Venus wins a long rally lol Give Sharapova credit she played well but nobody can beat Venus when she's playing like this just the same as Fed Nadal Djok at their Don't see this good a tennis anymore it makes me sad yet I can't complain really glad to have been there to watch it. Big Williams Fan. Have a great retirement ladies Thank you so much for giving us fans so much entertainment to this sport I use to see boring as like watching paint dry until you 2 came a long. Good luck in the future I wish you all the best.

It’s crazy. Venus and Serena were so dominant and winning all the slams at very young ages, that when they went a couple years without wining, people forgot they were still in their early/mid 20s and still had time to peak. Serena was still very young when she won the US Open in 2008 in what seemed like her first slam in forever. And we see what she did from there.

what a pathetic comment, stop predicting things that will never happen. maria was never a good mover and Venus who was a much better player than maria is now old and should retire. the current players being subpar is not Iga's fault so grow up. ball bashing is not enough now to be at the top.

What you mean Venus got lucky? Venus thrash Sharapova in Wimbledon 2007, 6-1 6-3. Sharapova was lucky to even get the first set to a tie break in this match and she fought hard. She said herself after this match that she tried her best to win but couldn't. Sharapova is no match to Venus on grass. Venus has the same amount of Wimbledon titles as Sharapova Grand Slams
