    Absolutely fantastic recipe! I made this batter and created several different treats: mini-cakes by using silicone muffin pans, then delicious black sesame crepes, and also some thin and crispy sesame snap cookies. By experimenting with techniques, this one batter of yours provided lots of options. Next I'm doing a rolled cake with a pandan filling. The black and green will be lovely together. Thank you SO much for sharing!

    Hi, this cake looks delicious and I want to try to make it; however, I do not have neither evaporated milk nor whipping cream, so can I just use coconut milk instead? If so, how much coconut milk shall I use? Thank you in advance!

    Condensed milk is not very common in my area. Is it okay if I use milk instead? I know the flavor will be a bit different. But just want to make sure it's okay as a substitute. Thank you!

      Thank you!! Yeah quite different, this one has more structure but both are chewy. Hope it suits your taste :)

    this looks really good! I'm excited to try to bake this for my friend, however I see you wrote glutinous (sweet) rice flour. I only have regular glutinous rice flour that is not like the usual "Mochiko sweet rice flour." Will the glutinous rice flour I have still work?

    • @SpoonfulPassion
      @SpoonfulPassion  3 роки тому

      Thank youu! Yes regular glutinous rice flour will work :)

    Pass. Mochi is good because it's chewy. This creation of yours looks hard and solid.

    Hii, may I know if I can sub normal milk for evaporated milk? Or may I know what brand of it you used cause I only saw evaporated creamer which I assume is a different thing right 😂

    • @SpoonfulPassion
      @SpoonfulPassion  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, I used carnation brand, but yes you can sub with normal fresh milk 😊

    Can I replace the black sesame with something else? Or simply omit it?

    How long should I bake if I have a 9” pan?

    • @SpoonfulPassion
      @SpoonfulPassion  3 роки тому

      Might take less than 50 minutes bcos the cake is thinner. It's done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    The ingredients say “glutinous” rice flour but the title says gluten-free. Pretty misleading.

    • @SpoonfulPassion
      @SpoonfulPassion  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, glutinous rice flour is in fact gluten free. It’s the well-known name that is misleading. Thank you for your question.
