Sesame mochi are my favorite! I make a paste with black sesame seeds, cashew nuts (that I’ve soaked in water for about 1h) and honey. I mix it all with a blender and then add some salt. It super yummy and the cashews make the taste a little lighter and not too strong!
I used to live in Japan and mochi was my all time fav sweet. Didn’t realise how easy it is to make. Thank you for sharing. Will definitely be making these along with your tea booms which look absolutely gorgeous 🫖
Thanks for watching! Yes, it's really simple and fun to make. My favourite is the eating part lol. I loved all the different types of mochi in Japan. Can't wait to travel again✈️. Cheers
hello friend, I was craving for some mochi and yours is very easy straight to the point. I will definitely will give this a try. thank you for sharing, stay safe.

I just tried out this recipe today! It was amazing! The mochi was soft and chewy, while the filling was just so good. The only part that confused me was how long to steam the sweet rice flour mixture. I steamed it for 20 minutes and mixed it halfway through
That's fantastic! So glad you gave the recipe a try. Thanks for letting me know how they turned out. Do feel free to send any photos if you have any or make it again. I'd love to share it. Thanks for letting me know about the phrasing on the steaming, I've left a note in the description.. You got it the steaming and stirring right on the mark👍
Thank u for your recipe. Is sweet rice flour the same as glutinous rice flour? Can I keep the mochi overnite? If so, just at room temperature? Thanks again
Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, sweet rice is the same. You can store the plain mochi dough well wrapped in the fridge overnight. It's preferable to serve the filled mochi within the day.
