The TM importer we used for 2022 is no longer living in the United States. Currently we can't get our hands on one. There are several 125s we would have loved to add but these 4 are available to us and the general public for 2023
Maybe just maybe they should have equaled out the playing field and put the good Dunlops on all four bikes. Everybody knows after a few weeks we will be changing out our tires anyway. Also maybe use race fuel most of us run race Fuel anyway.
So initially what we're looking at here is the Japanese vs the Austrians... Seems fair to me. Now all the needed for the Japanese to crank out two more bikes *coughs in RM & Kawi*
Sooooo, everyone's fav bike to ride, without a doubt the most reliable bike, no question the best looking, yet y'all ranked it 4th?? If you made up the price difference to the husky and ktm with upgrades ie, reeds, pipe, silencer, maybe a more aggressive squish when the 1st top end needs to be changed. I know for a fact, because i still own one, stock displacement yz125s can easily make 40hp. Dont disagree with me dude i OWN ONE. It was dyno'd on a motorcycle dyno, and we backed up the number 3 times. Yall are talking about the husky and the ktm lean popping, pre detonation, mapping issues, yada yada yada. Im confused yall want me to pay more for a bike thats NOT 100% from the factory and i cant mess with the mapping because ktm says so?? Fuuuuck that man y'all are TRIPPIN!! YAMAHA ALL DAY!!!!!! Plus the husky and ktm are the ugliest dirt bikes ive ever seen as well as the most gross colors. White and orange dude?? Grey plastics with highlighter yellow and a BLUE FRAME?!?!?! Gross. Hella gross. Personally i cannot stand ktms. Ive never liked the way they feel and the way they break. The way they cost and every sales guy says "well WP suspension". Ok but Yamaha has WAY better suspension and theyre cheaper, and they dont have air forks which stress me the fuck out dude. One little bitty part comes loose and falls off, your front end is dead. Zero bottoming resistance. Thats scary when you race the vet pro class and have a $100k a year career, wife, and kids. I get injured, things go to shit. Ill stick with my beautiful blue bikes. Thanks y'all.
91 octane fuel is so bad, no wonder you needed C12 to fix the mapping on the KTM. You guys only get low octane fuel in the states? I'm from the UK and only put 99+ octane fuel in (you can get it from quite a few petrol/gas stations) - I wouldn't even dream of putting 91 octane in lol
Being 10 pounds heavier now and loosing a whole HP to the GasGas makes the new and improved KTM's seem a bit silly to me. I understand that pushing the tech envelop is a good thing, but man what a let down in those two metrics. I love simple, old school bikes, so for me going forward it's a no brainer. I love my 2022 MC250 and I'm sure the MC125 would be a blast. Not to mention the less electronically controlled components the better.
I think one thing that's overlooked is the weight gain of the new models. It's not all attributed to the electric start, f.i. etc., but everyone assumes it is! My 23 (22 F.E.) 250 four stroke gained around 5 lbs. over my 2020 model. And the electronics between the 2 are very comparable. Is Husqvarna 125 good for 5-11' 165lbs rider?
Yes.
You guys absolutely fucking nailed that intro!
Add TM racing to your shootouts
Add TM Racing 125’s to your shootout
The TM importer we used for 2022 is no longer living in the United States. Currently we can't get our hands on one. There are several 125s we would have loved to add but these 4 are available to us and the general public for 2023
YZ 125 🔞🇺🇸
Love my 2023 gas gas mc 125 so far
@@motocrossaction who import TM is USA now that Ralf doesn’t?
Love my yz125x!
Yamaha YZ125 (Where can one buy one) any store recommendations.
Been a fan of MXA for almost 30 years. This shootout is definitely compromised. Cheers to the crew for all the hard work though.
Where is tm?
Best sound
Hp and torque are at the wheel ?
Pretty sure that’s wheel hp. The 125s always made super high hp numbers, it’s just a really narrow range compared to a 4 stroke 250
Future motocross
Where was Beta ?
Why is TM not in the test
It's pretty sad not seeing Suzuki's, Honda's, and Kawasaki in the party 😕
Maybe just maybe they should have equaled out the playing field and put the good Dunlops on all four bikes. Everybody knows after a few weeks we will be changing out our tires anyway. Also maybe use race fuel most of us run race Fuel anyway.
Which one of these are designed for 6-3” man, 220 pounds?
Where that TM AT
Cheers
GG has the best ratio on power X weight and yama is best on price and weight
yz is the best for have fun and they last a lot... my ktm is shit always have problems

Anyone have updates on the green map 2 issues
Why am I not seeing any Green
What about the tm?
Keep the dam kick starts
91 octane fuel is so bad, no wonder you needed C12 to fix the mapping on the KTM. You guys only get low octane fuel in the states? I'm from the UK and only put 99+ octane fuel in (you can get it from quite a few petrol/gas stations) - I wouldn't even dream of putting 91 octane in lol
Are bare aluminum rims going to make a comeback now ?
Being 10 pounds heavier now and loosing a whole HP to the GasGas makes the new and improved KTM's seem a bit silly to me. I understand that pushing the tech envelop is a good thing, but man what a let down in those two metrics. I love simple, old school bikes, so for me going forward it's a no brainer. I love my 2022 MC250 and I'm sure the MC125 would be a blast. Not to mention the less electronically controlled components the better.
With more weight, in theory wouldn't you have more traction? Or those pounds makes no difference?
10pounds heavier with efi is a hella good trade
I believe in 200cc supremacy
Kaplan sent me :)
My 19 SX150 is 203lbs. ride weight with some extra guards, Lectron carb, PC exhaust and lot's of Ti hardware. But hey, all these 125's are light!
