I grew up in a cul-de-sac, and all the parents and neighbors raised all of us children. They all punished us, yelled at us, babysat us, and praised us. We were pretty lucky back then.

I love how when Bill is on Conan, Conan feels more comfortable to be edgy. He gets Bills humor and I bet he has the same exact dark humor but because he’s a T.V figure he rails it back. But when Bill is on his show he lets a little more lose and has more fun

Most of these late night guys get there by having a very real sense or dark sense of humour which let's audiences like them enough but once they get a writing team it becomes a different story
I have a brother who is just like bill burr. he isn't super talkative but when he feels comfortable with the people he is around he tells everyone what he really thinks. it is hilarious. he can't stand other people's kids and many other adults.
I mean to be fair, nobody really likes another person's kids unless they're like, little toddlers or infants. Otherwise, they're usually just seen as obnoxious.

Some lady in the grocery store yelled at me for swearing in public when I was a punk kid one time. I still remember that and I haven't done it again. It was at least 30 years ago. Bring that back. Kids today have basically zero social boundaries and we're not better for it.
Some kids were running around McDonalds while my mom was waiting in line and they hit her bag as they ran past. As they started to run past her again she put her hand up and firmly said “Don’t run into me.” And the kids’ mother flipped out on her.

I work at Walmart. Kids scream, knock whole rows off a shelf, pour their drinks on the ground, leave their garbage on the floor EVERY DAY. Im 25. If id done that my mother(a woman who could barely stand to kill a fly) would have beat me black and blue. A lot of parents today dont seem to understand they have a real god damn responsibility to raise their kids.

I love Bill Burr, he’s a really funny comedian and also really insightful and he says what a lot of people are thinking but are often too scared to voice. Plus he’s not politically correct which is always refreshing in this crazy modern world we live in.

It's a book called Angela's Ashes which is about a poor guy growing up in Ireland. His father was an alcoholic who spent all the money he earned by getting drunk and the family would barely make ends meet and have nothing to eat etc. It's depressing as hell lmao

When I was 12 or so back in the day when my mom could send me -walking- to the store by myself - I thought it would be a fun thing to smash a bottle on the road. A woman across the street saw me do it yelled that she was going to tell my parents (didn't know me or my parents but it scared me) oh oh. AND she. AND she made me clean it up. Well that was nearly 50 years ago and I have never done anything like that again. As a kid, I remember sort of fake-ly yelling "help! help!" while swimming in a river. I didn't think anyone was within earshot and I was messing around with the other person I was swimming with. I'll never forget it. I got such a tongue-lashing from an elderly couple who were on a boat that was docked nearby. Safe to say, I never yelled for help again unless I actually meant it. Man, it stuck with me.
