    1. drink water 30 min before and 90 min after meal. During meal Rather use buttermilk or lime juice.
    2. Don't forcefully drink water
    3. Don't drink cold water. Drink luke warm

    Very informative and beautifully explained. Water should be drunk in sitting position and sip by sip .Thats what our beloved prophet PBUH used to do and taught us.SubhanAllah.

    My dad used to follow naturopathy and taught me not to drink water during a meal, and I began drinking warm water since the beginning of the Pandemic. One mistake I still make though is drinking water while standing because it just feels easy - have to mend that habit. Thank you so much for all your wonderful advices, Hansa Maa 🙏

    I agree with you Dr. Hansaji on most points you mentioned but partially difer from you on just one. You mentioned that one must drink water only when thirsty. Yes, definitely drinking excessive water lets say more than about a liter of water per hour for several hours can cause water intoxication, where one's electrolytes get out of balance.
    There was a research that showed that the daily water intake for every individual should be half of his/her body weight in ounces. This is a general notion I believe as the daily water requirement can differ from person to peron depending on multiple factors including intensity of daily activities, climatic condition, one's health condition, etc.
    Again one must drink the minimal quantity of water daily regardless of whether he/she is actually thirsty for there could be various reason why one does not feel as thirsty, for example, following a low sodium and low-carb diet can make one feel less thirsty.
    Therefore, one of the best way to see if one is actually dehydrated is I would say is by monitoring the colour of one's urine. The colour of urine of a well hydrated individual is pale yellow to transparent. Hence, urine colour could be used as a better marker for understanding individual needs than simply relying on one's sensation of thirst or an oversimplified scientific research.

    So true- in hot climate and in cold country we can't drink the same amount of water. And our body is getting water from other sources- fruits, veggies and soups.

      You would be surprised how thirsty you get when it’s cold. Have you ever walked in snow? Quite a workout and makes you very thirsty.

      @@sherekhan90 I'm from Poland so I did walk in snow many times. Thirst comes from physical activity not from cold itself. Now I live in cold but humid Ireland and I can say I feel far less thirsty here than in dry polish climate

    Great information.... U covered almost all points of how to drink water, as taught by the Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him... He taught us to look into the water before drinking... Say Bismillah before drinking and Alhumdulillah after drinking... He also taught us to cover our head while drinking, sit while drinking, take at least three sips ....

    Good talk, do drink 300 to 400 ml warmed up water on rising, particularly if working in air conditioning (cold dry air that dehydrates you via the lungs) a lot of the population runs around dehydrated, blood clot or heart attack risk, not convinced that warm water after ice cream is good for your teeth, good for your tummy that’s for sure.

      Sometimes it's hard or impossible to drink sitting down depending on what your vocation is. If you sit at a desk all day then that's different, but if you do heavy construction and are on your feet for 8 hrs. or more it's not practical

    Namaste Doctorji, very valuable information, thank you for introducing this subject which many assume to be straight forward and having no need for instructions. I have heard that we should allow water to settle preferably in a clay pot overnight before drinking - is reverse osmosis water which often sits in a steel tank sufficient?. Maybe you can shed light on this subject in one of your videos.

      Hi ! Just try this experience & please tell me the result. During any evening, preferably a winter's one (even in tropical regions) when u are feeling cool, comfortable but without any envy to drink, try to swallow some water from a full glass of mineral or flat water, cold or room-temperature. U would say how much the experience might be painful or awful.

      My dear Child water hears us. Even the molecules change when we say Grace before drinking/ thank for our blessings. You must be sitting down. So best thing is to have half a glass next to you / in a bottle so when you wakeup it's easier not to forget.
      You must relax yourself a few mins. Positive thoughts will change the molecules of the water. The music u listen to will help. Heavy metal does the opposite- appologies

    This makes a whole lot of sense. We shouldn't drink anything especially when you are eating, yes your tells you when it needs water. She is right about drinking chilled water verses drinking room temperature.

      I agree. the message of the teacher is so pure and clear. The added sound somehow pollutes the experience. It makes watching a strain and distracts

      Absolutely, I feel like sitting in a music concert, the attention is distorted either to hear the music or the speech. In Yoga they say we have to maintain silence while performing.

    Thank you so very much for your UA-cam videos. I’ve just found you today by fluke and already have learnt so many things in regards to both the exercise and my water consumption. I’ve just had surgery because of complications due to acid reflux for which I’ve had a problem for quite some time. I did not realise that I was making the matter worse but the things that I was doing which I thought were healthy habits. Habits which I will immediately change. Thank you again I look forward to more of your videos
