Lucid Sapphire Tri Motor!!!! This is like the Plaid Tesla Model S - but with more luxury. It will sell and the price will help Lucid become more profitable. I think they will make $100+k profit on this variant. EV sales are booming. Tesla, Lucid and other pure play EV companies are still hiring people whilst legacy auto is laying off staff for their dying ICE production (Ford just announced 8000 jobs to be layed off). Tesla is a money making monster growing profits and production like crazy. Demand for EVs is going through the roof as buying an EV saves consumers money (on fuel & maintenance) over a 5 year period.
Except Lucid is pricing themselves out of the market. Who cares if the profit is $100k when they only sell 100 of them. They've only sold approximately 700 cars to date and you think they are going to sell more Sapphires? Lucid better come up with a price comparable Model Y/3 competitor or you can lump them in with Fisker.

The Lucid Sapphire has what the Plaid is missing (Carbon Ceramics and the option for a round steering), but the Price is far from the price of a Plaid.
Rather than a Plaid+ to compete I'd rather see a Model 3 Plaid. 750 hp but 3,500 - 3,600 pounds with carbon brakes and front and rear castings. More HP isn't needed, less weight is what would really make a track day EV weapon.
