- The Glock Model 28 was introduced in 1997, but could not be imported into the U.S. because of the Gun Control Act. Now they are made in the USA and with the number of new .380 pistols being offered, it gives us more choices . Big thanks to Talo Distributors and Lipseys for their help!

Another good vídeo Sootch, cheers from Brazil, it's being more difficult for Brazilian gun owners since the last year, the government has no respect for the honest citizens and buying a legal gun is almost impossible.
E perché avete votato quel cesso di Lula???
I am a former firearms instructor from a federal agency. For years our carry firearm was the Glock 17. I fell in love with Glock. I even became a Glock Armorer. I have a Gen 3 26 that I carry from time to time. I recently purchased the Glock 28 and I love it. I love for the reasons you mentioned. I also have carried a Glock 43X. My wife loves her Glock 42.
9mm = 9x19 380 ACP = 9x17 Great video as always thanks!
.380 acp goodness
I just ordered a G25 Gen3 .380 in OD Green. 4.02" barrel, G19 size frame. Comes with 15 rd mags, 17 rd mags coming soon.
Sorry Walther PD380.
Rest in peace🥀 Gaston Glock.
Thank you Sootch👍
There’s just something about 380’s I love them all
you sound like me... love .380
I can get on board with that. Solid round, low recoil, pistols are usually easily concealable.
@@cubicleinvestor2553 Yeah buddy!! I'm waiting for mine should be here by the end of the week. I saw a .45 that i also like .. i might get that in the meantime - until the G28 gets here.!
@@gewglesux oh right on man! I been eyeing one, got the 42 and a Springfield 911 I alternate between. That double stack glock looks sweet though.
@@cubicleinvestor2553 I'm in NY so i am limited to 10. I've already ordered Mags with the pinky extension installed.
US gun owners seem enamored with the 45acp and 9mm rounds because of their perceived superior "stopping power". Keep in mind though that the German police thought for decades (in the 20's to at least the 50's) that the "9mm kurz" (for 9mm short) aka 380 acp had enough stopping power to be used in their daily pursuit of German criminals. The Walther PPK ("Polizei Pistole Kriminell" or criminal police pistol) used the 9mm kurz or 380 acp with no perceived disadvantage. Perhaps not as far as James Bond's armourer says in Dr. No, "with a delivery like a brick through a plate-glass window"...
.32 ACP/ 7.65mm was Bond's Walther caliber.... not 9mm K (.380 ACP)
@@kent3779 Yep!
When are they making the 42X???
I carried the 42 in a small waist pack barely larger than a grilled cheese sandwich for 10 years. I loved it and will still carry it on occasion, but I will move up to the larger round count of the new Glock 380s. I did increase the Glock 42 round count by 3 with the ETS 9 round magazine. I experienced a lot of jams with one in the barrel and nine in the magazine, so I have one in the barrel and eight in the magazine.
Thanks for this up-to-date and the 380. It's small and easy to carry on those summer hot days or women's and elderly carry gun. Something is better than nothing.
I've done many tests with my Glock 19 and my Glock 42 which is 380 just for my own knowledge. In a 3 inch thick paperback book, the 9 mm almost penetrated through the book, and the 380 was only about an inch behind. modern 380 is a kick ass bullet. It will make a nice hole in a head or chest.
The Glock 25 and 28 were introduced in the late 90's however the US would not import them. Also some countries do not allow civilians to own and use military rounds (9mm, .45) so the .380 was a good choice. Glock how about introducing a .38 Super.
There is an entire Reddit forum that would line up for Glock releasing a .32 acp 👀
I always wanted a G25 but very hard to get so instead I bought a Grand Power P380 ....

I am recoil sensitive due to arthritis and the GLOCK 25 allows me to shoot at the range with minimal hand pain. Love it!
Appreciate your discussion of how different guns and calibers work differently for different people. Long ago got tired of the “why would you want anything other than a 9mm” crowd. I use both calibers (among others) and different guns for different purposes. One of the reasons I enjoy your videos, you give good information and let people make their own choices. Thanks Sootch!
I would definitely recommend this pistol over many other micro nines or .380's. The grip is the main selling point for this pistol and the other similar models that Glock offers.
I was once skeptical about Baby Glocks for years until I shot the Model 26.
I watch all of your reviews, and I thank you for your contributions in this arena.
This one catches my attention because I am recoil sensitive.
I feel like I would die in a shootout with this thing. It's super super small.and t's a .380. I would stay at nind and four o. Anything bigger is ridiculous and gonna be harder to find grains and pay more
Agreed. Those chunky “baby” Glocks are in a class of their own for shoot-ability in a package that looks like it wouldn’t be. I carry 380s, but when I get out my g26 I’m always amazed just how well it shoots. 26 is hard to beat if you had to own just one pistol for about any role.
The G 25 mags will work in the G 28 ! Use X grip sleeves !
You produced a very good video about the Glock 28. I like it because I do some security in a crowded Church and there is always a concern for me about over penetration if we have an active shooter and hitting an innocent person. Additionally, the objective is not to take a police action to enforce the law, but only to make the person quit doing what they are doing and get off the property. The 28 fits that objective plus it is very stable and the limited recoil and a solid sized frame permit very accurate multiple shots. Anyway, good video and thanks for posting.
Damn, I'm getting old! I didn't realize you are also SensiblePrepper. I thought there were similarities; I guess I need to pay attention to my surroundings better! Thanks for the great content!
Glock 43 was a good pistol but when they came out with a 43x, that was such an improvement on that pistol as far as capacity and concealment. What about being able to make a glock 42x? 10 round capacity, thinner pistol, longer grip like the 43x but the capability of less recoil for new shooters as well as seasoned shooters. I think that would definitely be an idea to consider. Might make me buy that .380 rather then this thicker model 28
I was thinking the exact same thing lol
I don't think it's blow back operation. It locks on the barrel extension
They need to make a double stack 42
A excellent video on the glock 28 better than a glock 42 just to small and only 6 shorts if you could find one buy it they are hard to find the Glock 28💯👍
Unless a person just wants the recoil of a 380 or just to collect it because it’s a 380 Glock I can’t see any kind of use for it when you have the 26 and 27 in the same size.
Yes, people want the recoil of a 380
380 ammo aint cheaper that 9mm
I tried the Ruger Security .380 intending to give it to my wife. I hated the magazines, basically Security 9mm mags with a spacer added. I just bought a G28.
Great video about a gun I had never heard of previously.
The LCP Max is literally the perfect carry gun. Period.
You spelled Sig P365 wrong…now THAT’S the perfect carry gun.
@@garytucholl7699you spelled Ruger Redhawk wrong THAT is the perfect carry gun
I agree with the 365,. But sometimes when I need real deep concealment,. I roll with the Sig 938 and that completely disappears.
I carry one...All day every day. Hi from South Africa
It's my least favorite carry gun due to lower accuracy, much lower reliability, and the less effective round. I only carry it for running or as a backup
I’ve ordered one on GB, looks like a nice ccw
Get in a shootout with this ur gonna die 😂 jk jk
I know Glock won’t touch super carry but that gun in super carry with 12 rounds.
Neither will I!

@@realJohnLab Carry a .380 every day. Why don't you let someone take potshots at you with this ineffective round and see if you can superman them off your chest.
It looked like a good portion of the casings were flying back at the shooter.
There are three changes that I would like to see Glock do.
1. Make all Glocks MOS ready without needing an adapter plate.
2. A proper rail for lights.
3. Work on those single stack mags, up that capacity.
Can one place the 380 slide on the Glock 26 frame?
I wanted one 7 years ago. Woulda bought one then. Now I do have a 380 in my rotation but it’s a PD380. Single stack, safety, same manual of arms as the p22, and an easy rack slide. 3.7” barrel.
I have the S&W Bodyguard but it’s not fun to shoot. I also have a Glock 42 and it’s the smallest pistol that I can shoot accurately and consistently. My M&P Shield EZ was also nice and easy to shoot but the grip safety bothered my hand. It was the Performance Center model so it stuck out more than the standard one.
@x.adam1. Go find a Bodyguard 2.0 380ACP. That gun is getting great reviews, however it is tiny small, intended for deep concealment , and will have some drawbacks accordingly for some .
The guy is a good shot.
Rost Martin RM1C next please
This or G42?
People will say, its just a .380, blah blah stopping power, 9mm-45 blah blah, 10mm blah blah....I still don't wanna get shot with it!
Nine and four O's is all you need. If you are scared to shoot and don't mind dying in a gun fight😂😂 get a 28
@@LukeUnwin-s8h 1) You missed the point. 2) You obviously understand little about the subject so why bother posting any reply?

Hello Sootch,
Any recommendations on a holster for that Model 28 please
Thank you
It’s the exact same size as the 27 & 27 so any for them will fit
My main concern is about over penetration of the 9mm. Does the hollow point 9mm can also over penetrate a body? Thanks.
I have a lot of once fired .380 range brass -- I might have to break down and get a .380.
😅 whenever you say "recoil sensitive," it makes me chuckle.
Glock should come out with a 30 Super Carry pistol similar to what Smith n Wesson did.

Hey i'm ten and my dad is the border control and haves a linsene and I want one so should I ask him to get me one? And is it legel?
Depends on your state laws. Many parents get their kids guns to enjoy shooting with them. Your dad’s job or him having a license doesn’t usually affect anything in most states.
Such a missed opportunity. These would have been much more popular if released in Gen 5. 🤷♂
They are still very popular. I've hardly taught a woman first time shooter in the past five years who showed up with a 9 mm. They're all showing up with the softer recoil 380s.
@@nmr6988what’s the point of this over the 42?
@@skoolynugenator1802 More rounds
@@chriscarnes87 I get that but you’re sacrificing concealment with how fat they are. Might as well get a LCP max.
@@skoolynugenator1802 When you dress around your gun it’s not a problem, also having a proper holster that hugs your body is the key to not printing.
I carry a 26 and a 42 IWB and sometimes a 30. I carry in jeans and shorts. In shorts with no belts loops I use the Comfort Concealment Belt with IWB holster (it’s a 1.5” neoprene belt with a Velcro attachment. You wear it under your shorts).
Never buy the 26. Buy the 27 or 33 so you can have 3 guns in 1. 9, 40 & 357. Just a conversion barrel switch out.
G25 vid plz!!
Modern day offerings in .380 make it better than just a hole poker, particularly in a minimum barrel length of at least 3.25", 3-1/2" and up, better yet. The Glock is a good choice for a base gun, probably why the only way I'd get one is if it was given to me. Glocks are the 10-22 of the pistol world, to get what you want, you need to spend money on aftermarket parts, that marketing approach is really pretty stupid these days, but that's Glock.
I wouldn’t say it’s stupid at all. It’s why it’s so popular, just like the 10/22, AR’s and 1911’s.
Everything that has a lot of aftermarket generally is more popular.
Why’d you turn comments off on newest glock
The poor ejection does not inspire confidence.
As long as it doesn’t malfunction what’s the problem.

G26 size in 30 SUPER CARRY. - Now you'd be talking.
You skipped the whole bathroom issue. I'm assuming a bucket is involved.
I have one of these coming shortly.. anyone know where to find the pinky extension for a 10 RD mag with no additional RDS? Any more RDS means i'll be watching this video in prison.
Thanks.
Could you use a glock 19 threaded barrel for the glock 25?
No
Glock must send you carefully thoroughly checked guns for your videos. I recently purchased a G28, it is the most unreliable gun I've ever owned in over 40 years. My first 32 rounds fired resulted in 29 stovepipes. As the gun sits awaiting repair at Glock for the last 3 weeks, nothing has been reported from the service center. Heck, even Taurus makes a better 380. Needles to say my G17 gen3, G44, G43X and my G19 gen5 are what I've come to expect of Glock. Could the problem with the G28 being made in the USA be the problem, or has Glock lost their quality control?
👍👍👍
Is it California compliant since it’s a GEN 3?
Yes
California isn't gun compliant.
i will keep my Ruger LCP Max
They should have added forward slide serrations.
It's a Gen 3
Little tabs at the back would be better than serrations at the front.
Oh wow 😮another Glock 42 😢
I’d rather get the new beretta cheetah in 380. Just no need for it really.
Is it significantly lighter than the 26?? If not, what is the point of this gun?!!
Same reason why people choose the 26 over the 27.
Less recoil, closer to a .22 than 9mm.
When Taurus is kicking your farse - what's that mean 😂
Now if someone makes shooting glasses that cover more of our eyes
Why?
Where does this firearm fit into the market??????
Up your behind. Probably a lot of other places too.
What a stupid thing to say
It doesn't... The Ruger LCP Max exists that's better in ever conceivable way
Allen, I no longer want to carry a 9 mm for self-defense. Do I still shoot my Glock 19? Of course. But I am deadly accurate with my 380 and can shoot multiple shots in a small group in just a few seconds. I can no longer do that quickly with my 9 mm.
@BasedPatriot-USA you probably don’t even own a single firearm
380, you better pick you target points exactly.
Fud

I hate the finger grooves on Glocks.
Glock has lost so many sales because of their stupid idea of force fitting everyone's hand to fit their idea of finger spacing.
Especially now with companies like Taurus making Glock clones that have a much better grip.
G26 has light recoil, is more reliable, and has substantially better stopping power.
Should have just keep it in Europe - but cool if someone actually finds a use for this
Everything should be available here.
Lots of people will find a use for it here in the USA!
Doesnt fit well into todays market but its still good to have options. If you want a model 26 with less recoil and less stopping power this is basicly it. Otherwise, just get the model 26.
380 is cool but i wish we had like PCC's and more pocket options. The 26 is the same size...
Andy, you are out of touch my dear! It fits perfectly in today's market as first time women shooters, older women shooters, very young ladies, and men with arthritis or other hand disabilities are buying the 380. They skip right past the 9 mm.
I should rephrase what i mean, i mean like compared to other 9mm sales it wont beat it.
I think lower recoil options is always good. I personally alternate between a 380 and .22 for pocket carry when i dont have my 9mm.
@@AndysBackpack yes, 9 mm is king. I just no longer want to be subjected to anything that leaves me in pain after an hour of shooting. And the caliber you mentioned our excellent. There's such a wealth of pistols and caliber out there, it's the shame to close ourselves off from any option.
I love 380, carry a LCP max all of the time. What’s the point of this over a max or Glock 42 or any other 380 that isn’t this fat and bulky? That’s the only thing I don’t get.
Less recoil, I thought that about the Ruger sec. 380 and my elderly father who has really bad arthritis started carrying the sec. 380. My wife and I tried it now my wife has one because she hates recoil. I believe these are made for elderly and woman and of course in Europe 9*17 is what most police officers carry.
Out of the box, more capacity than a 42. And some people prefer a thicker grip over the slim lines that have become so popular.
Another good video, but Glock why? This would’ve been cool to release back in about 2000. 🙄
Why not now, this .380 wasn’t available in 2000. Thus the Video, Read-um and Weep Sir 😂🎉😊
If you don't like guns then just sell them all.
I think these models (Glock 25/28) came like 20 years late to the party. With the all the offer now, they seem almost obsolete
25 plus years later..😅
Ok, nice, now, no more boaring Glocks for a while.
Literally 0 reasons to get this gun when there so many better more inexpensive options
Then don’t buy one…
Don't say the LCP Max. In my area, it is 379 compared to 419 for the G42. To get that max capacity, you are FORCED to buy another mag, where you get two with Glock. You are in Glock land right there.
Very nice presentation if you're heart's set on a .380 in Glock for concealed carry, with the operative word being concealed. But if you're insistent on the "fat-boy" look, just move up to the Glock 26 and be done with it, since you're going to spend about the same money. Sarah Mac said it best, "but not quite a 9mm", that pretty much says it all. More importantly, how do I get Fiochhi to sponsor me 😂
...AUSGEZEICHNET!!!!!!!!!!
If they would have chambered it for 9Mak... maybe interested. But a powered down Glock 26... not so much.
Thanks for repeating what he said
**oh so they finally decided to bring the 28 to the American market?
**Unfortunately when it first came out it would have been the cat's meow now it's just another polymer frame 380. Just like scores of others.
**Nothing new or innovative now.
**Just humdrum!
Glock still has fans.
@@Jason-fm4my that fandom is based more on fiction and the glories of the past, rather than practical reasoning.
**While my first handgun/duty weapon was a Glock 21 and at the time it was the best thing out there.
**Too many other new guns have come in and replaced Glock with new and innovative things that Glock just can't seem to integrate into their platform because they're riding on the past glories,
**They've got the same mentality as that one car manufacturer that many many many many many years ago, said give him any color car they want as long as it's black!
Kirk, I can assure you that your assessment is incorrect. Women are skipping right past 9 mm and going to the 380 for Carrie. Older gentleman with arthritic hands and people with disabilities in general are flocking to the 380. The Glock 28 is very popular And all 380s are selling extremely well.
@@kirkchartier7141 They sell guns. Not philosophy. They're going to be successful because a lot people like Glocks, and a lot of people like 380 and some of them overlap.
@@nmr6988 my point is there's better guns out there for less money or better features the Ruger Security 380 the Ruger LCP Max, the Smith & Wesson Equalizer, the Girsan MC14T, Bersa Thunder 380 to name a few.
**If they would have brought it out back in the 90s when it first came out it would have pretty much had the playing field pretty much all to itself for a while.
**Now it's kind of like bringing what would have been the prom queen 25 years ago, 25 years too late!
**And if they are recoil sensitive they can always look at lighter ammo too, take the Liberty defense ammo take a 9mm bullet but it's only 50 grains traveling at 1 1/2 times the normal velocity of a 9 mm round.
**And there are other cartridges too. There is the 30 super carry, 5.7, 22WMR, 22TCM 9R.
