Battlefield V is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access to the game on November 15, 2018, and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I based precursor Battlefield 1.
Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism. There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.
The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II. The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch. The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles". The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the popular Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. It is playable by 64 players, which are divided into up to 16 squads with a focus on team work.Firestorm is scheduled to be released in March 2019. - Wikipedia - Ігри
As a whole package, I am happy about the update. I still enjoy tanking even it did get dumb down for tank vs tank.
As for some bugs, DICE should be aware of the following. But no ETA on some of these
- Panzer IV AP shells quantity
- Black screen
during zoom
- Tank sight bobbling
when other tanks are nearby
- Tank sight messed up near object
switching from 3rd to 1st person
- Hachi turn rate
- Howitzer blast radius fix
- HE/AP switch timer not standardized

I wish they’d just make it like the other vision modes...
Azura I had another bug, in Mercury when trying to spawn in a tank I spawned without the tank just as the tank driver... And this kept in happening everytime I tried spawning into a tank in that round
How do you look around in 3rd person without the turret turning?

I want custom mechanic/pilot classes. As playing Japan, using a sten after bailing seems weird to me.

“Scary like bf3 and bf4” I dunno man a fully crewed landship or flame heavy tank in bf1 was pretty scary
@@shredd5705 the landship was pretty good imo. it needed the teamwork and coordination to be at peak effectiveness and angling still mattered. Especially the infantry support landship was the most engaging one for me. i was pushing on with infantry giving supplies and suppressing enemies with the 20mm cannon while the gunners focused on vehicles/hard positions and flankers.
@@shredd5705 What skill gap was present in BF4's tanks, might I ask? Back in BF3/4, tanks were the only vehicles which were extremely easy to use and this is why so many players picked tanks over something that is more difficult like helicopters or jets. At least in BF3 you had a glitch that increased the "skillgap", where hitting the perfect spot landed a 1hit disable but none of that exists in BF4.
BFV's tanks had far more depth than any other prior BF game and the skill ceiling was massive. You couldn't just pick it up and go on a rampage like BF3/4. Instead, you needed to learn the tank mechanics and use them to your advantage in tank v tank situations. This is why so many of the bang average tank players prefer BF4's easy tanking over BFV
@@shredd5705 literally none of that is exclusive to BF4. In comparison, you need to do all that in BFV and more, like angling, part multipliers, turret positioning, etc. And if anything, shell drop was less of an issue in BF4 because the velocity of everything except HEs was quite fast compared to BF3 or even BFV.
And getting 20-30 kills in a tank was indeed common and a good result for a below average player and this is something that just doesn't happen in other vehicles. In BFV on the other hand, a dumb tanker won't even get 5 kills without getting destroyed by infantry or an experienced tanker. That's been ruined now with 5.2 but before that BFV had the biggest skill gap for tanks in any BF game, that's noteven up for debate.
@@shredd5705 I wouldn't disagree with that. BF1 was indeed shallow and boring in terms of tanks.
Meanwhile pacific planes now can one tap a full HP tank. This is the only one thing that scares me in a Sherman. And only one thing can scares me in a plane now, is a better pilot.
That was possible before the update too, but its now very easy because of the added bombing circle.
I believe that may change in the next update to add delay between bombs, so they will have to dive bomb you to do that
@@pikgaming5955 Yes it was, I've been donig that before 5.2 but I had to fly very close. Now it's much easier.

Patience pays off! :P I completely agree with this review. Tank v Infantry is great (not that it desperately needed changes but ok) but tank v tank feels like a massive chore. Halfway through a typical tank v tank fight, I just feel like popping off smokes and abandoning the fight altogether because the LMB spam just isn't worth it. I feel if you get over the 5hit mark in a tank fight even after getting some good angle hits and a couple of disables, it starts feeling too unnatural and stretched out.

They should add more combat roles, something like a heavy supplier for support, giving them more ammo, tank hunter for assault, giving them more rockets, the roaming medic giving the medic class a speed boost being shot at, and a Dead shot for snipers, being shot at a sweet spot makes them bleed for a few seconds 1 or 2 hp per tick.
That was supposed to be a thing but I think dice scrapped it

I killed 2 tiger tanks with a level 2 Churchill gun carrier in a minute, it’s more like making tank gameplay dummy proof now.
@Azura Productions Thanks for all of the great content. You go deep into the details which can only be acquired through lots of work. Your vids changed the way I fight (fought) with tanks in BF5.
Now I see that the first shot is even more important (a fighter plane preoccupation, ‘see them first’). Maybe switching to the optimal shell type before shooting is less important. Also, skip angling your hull - now mobility, and terrain selection is more important. There is new emphasis to ‘shoot and scoot’. It’s the tank equivalent of infantry bunny hopping, and sliding around.
For the German light and medium tanks I’ll probably make the change I made long ago for the Tiger; I’ll probably drop AP rounds for S-mines.
I just remembered the “That shot ricocheted. Try getting a better angle to prevent this” or whatever from BF1

The fact that the HEAT-T rounds only do 25 damage, even when you're hitting an enemy tank in the rear really pisses me off.
In the rear should do a lot more as long as you are not way off with your angle

Im playing BF5 just a few weeks. Tanking is one of the most funny elements in the game for me and your Chanel is realy helpfull. Obviously there are different opinions about the actual Balance of Power between Tanks and Infantry. By my limited experience i see tanks dominated some matches and cut to pieces by infantry in the next battle. Please Keep in mind that BF5 is not a very realistic WW II Simulation. Tanks in BF5 are much faster, mobile and durable than there were in real life because you can instant repair damaged sections in second by yourself and never suffer mechanical failures and fuel shortages. Tank Weapon Accuracy and Handling in BF5 are also good for funny gaming experience because the historical hitting rate per ammo and time to wheel the turret of a WWII Tank to 360° would be very unpleasant in a BF match.

Did the damage nerf to AA tanks in the pacific change their damage against planes too? It seems like they're totally useless in the AA role now.
I don't think so, Supposedly there is another modifier to increase the damage on those bullets even with that damage nerf
I like new Tank v infantry gameplay but I enjoyed angling my tank in TvT it felt like you earned the kill. Now you just fire as many shells and hope for the best

Ivanperez 128 oh yeah. When a tank came charging over the hill everybody used to run away. To be honest battlefield 1 nailed The Great War theme.
Please explain how to aim glider bombs in both views. Like really explain this please. The aiming. Using the sights on the plane. This bomb was actually used against shipping. It has a radar meant to track ships in the water.

Tank on tank is absolute garbage. I remember the good ol' days of the Pacific when in a Sherman with 76mm and HEAT rounds you could 1 shot a Japanese tank from the rear, 2-3 rounds on the ride and 4 rounds on the front. Now after update 5.2 you just tickle each other in tanks, before a plane that has more fire power than a tank drops a nuclear bomb on your head. I miss Flanking and getting the jump on other tanks, 2 shotting them, popping smoke and repositioning. On crazy flanks in a Valentine or a Sherman, you could take out 2-3 vehicles before bouncing back behind friendly lines.
Tank fights now are determined by who shoots first. But at long range it’s useless doing 10 damage or a glancing blow. The main guns don’t do anything to infantry unless it’s a direct hit too

Missed tank glitching shotting from bf4, made a skill gap and things to learn in 1v1, tbh tanks have been feared from day one...would just like some meta changes and tree re-works
I think they should have kept the liner system, but tweaked either the damage of the AT weapons, or the armor multipliers for the the side/rear.
I wish! But their goal is to make the game more casual so this is the thing you give up
Give the Tiger revamp mechanics.... In some maps it has no clear advantages over the Panzer. Yes the armor is thicker and heavier gun damage. However positioning is key, the slow acceleration of the Tiger makes it the most vulnerable of all other tanks.

I am a new sub and play on PS4. I have started to Yuseff MKb bcos of some medical reasons. Is BF5 an ideal game to play over a year old? Will I be against a huge skill gap?
No, you should find it much more casual than other fps
I’m gonna get it for the holiday. Maybe I can catch it on sale too. I’m so disappointed in the current fps games. I’ve 3ps such as the division 2 not happy either. This may be what I need since I served in the US Army in combat jobs. Thanks for your response.
The AP shells for the Panzer 4 are... limited, I would like to see a few more when you spawn in.

As a tiger 1 junkie I would love to know how to kill Churchill's and good valentine players better heat rounds to the track usually take either of them out in two to four shots respectively but sometimes I get hit for 40 plus while fighting a valentine and I don't know what I'm doing wrong
Can we just talk about the Sturmtiger ? From the last 8 tanks I fought with the Sturmtiger in the last weeks, I killed like 5 with just one good hit
And I absolutely love it. I mean, the Sturmtiger is extremely slow, and in short distance fights with the Valentine Mk III, it is nearly impossible to win the fight.
I think the sturmtiger is now perfect. It is very slow, and the turret is immovable, it is difficult to hit tanks on long range. But if you hit them, then it's their end.

Good video! But I largely dis-agree on Infantry v Tank balance state. It can now take 10+ PF to kill a Heavy Tank on average. Tank v Tank is also a similar slug fest. I think you missed the Depot re-supply changes.
Yes you can't repair while being damaged now. Also use a piat for more damage, and shoot at optimal angle will also allow you to be more successful.
@@AzuraProductions Also you get health back immediately after a cycle instead of bar first increasing and then filling in next cycle. Optimal angle concept is fine but if someone sees PF doing 8 dmg on average, they will just stop bothering with shooting at Tanks. Average damage should be 13-15 at least.
@@AzuraProductions Did you notice that HE explosions are much more effective now? Aside from slight increase in area, they are now using a curve to apply damage from min to max. Has drastically increased HE damage effectiveness.

Unpopular opinion: they should just remove blowtorch repairs. It's an obscure legacy mechanic that rarely gets used, but when it does there is very little that can counter it, and at the same time being a repair bot is not fun at all.
That's an interesting thought but removing a team play mechanic may not be the best idea.
@@AzuraProductions What about not allowing repairs while the tank is getting damaged? That should be less controversial. If you want to retreat a little and have your team repair you, fine, but just standing there tanking (yeah) damage is not a fun mechanic.
Sometimes the tank just won't sit still and moves around constantly.. Any advice??
It's quite simple. Tanks are impossible to take down, I die the second I am seen, unless I use them, then people sneak up on me and kill me instantly. All jokes aside, i don't think we should be able to go third person in a tank.

@@AzuraProductions bout 1 week ago i did 3x in a row 10 damage to the turret (or tower idk in english) of a tiger tank, i switched to normal ammo and i did 23 damage. Btw it wasnt a glancing blow it was a direct hit

Didn't fix the Panzer IV AP round shell count. Still at only 4 shells. Really sucks knowing you're going to have to switch to main gun to finish off a Valentine who basically has rapid fire on his tank.

Especially that after 5.2 it has better (faster) TTK and overall feels good.
All BF games are good, but each is better in some but not all ways.
I think tank vs tank combat is just as garbage as the rest of 5.2. It got dumbed down.
First of all, normal round 23 dmg, AP round 25 dmg, 2 damage difference. Is this a joke?
I was rolling around in the Sherman, first target, a Ka-Mi, basically a light tank. I shot him on the front, and perfect 90 degree on the side, I did 23 or 25 damage every fuckin time.
Then I met a Chi-Nu and a Chi-Ha, and I did the same fuckin damage to them as to the light tank. WTF?!
Tactical tank driving is dead, now what matters is, who can dance around more while you keep shooting each other for minutes...
The whole game became garbage....hell and it looks like it is getting worst and worst. My patience is over with battleflop5 and I might come back in spring next year to see if it got any better. Meanwhile I enjoy battlefield 4 much more.
I think most tank players had problems with tank vs infantry gameplay not tank vs tank so they should keep this new infantry system and adjusting the tank vs tank gameplay
If dice could change a system in a single update they still do it in the next one
There are ways to adjust tank vs tank damage only but not angle changes, at least not easily afaik
@Azura Productions but they did it in a single patch they flattend the angle damage module so thats basically a angle change?
And also as you said in this video the best defensive armor position is 10° angle but before the patch it was 44° so it basically changed
There are other parameters, there are quite a lot of things in play here
@Azura Productions Yeah there are a lot parameters :The mutipliers,angles,armor,shell drop off which affects the angle that you can hit,the type of shell and many more but im sure they can adjust it properly if they listen to the expert tankers
Tanks: completely destroying infantry and being overpowered at long range
DICE: buffs the tanks by requiring good angles that can only be achieved at short range essentially making long range even more op

I find after the new update my tank vs tank success has fallen off drastically and it's very frustrating. Also, this two-man tank crew dynamic is absolute garbage. I put 16 Archer rounds into the German Panzer IV and never got anywhere, hitting it at 90 degrees in the side - 16! It doesn't add up to me. I just always find myself on the losing end, even if I'm putting more shells into the opponent with the superior tank/ammo. I do my best to angle and make my hit as direct as possible. I'm just at a loss, wondering if anyone else feels that way? I had great success before the update and had no complaints.
Turrets should be slower across the board.

I couldn't disagree more with the assessment that tank versus tank is boring... It's way better now, I also don't understand how you think the ttk is lower than it was on average, I've noticed it be consistently faster.
It literally takes more shells to kill a tank on average, from the stats. Unless you are playing against a pro, then yes it takes less shots to kill a good tanker. Also, in what way is it better?

I am all for tanks being a hard ennemies and so on
BUT
Dice should CANCEL the possibility to use the 3rd person view as it is PURE CHEATING! How many times I sneaked on a tank from behind only to see him turn his turret right back at me and start moving forward just because he was in 3rd person view and could easily rotate his camera around and see what happens behind him without the need to turn his turret.
TURN THAT OPTION OFF!!!

It was so stupid to nerf the AT-mines as much as they did.
They deal 13% damage each those times I get hits not 25% that has never happened to me at least. I have even put down 6 AT-mines and just got vehicle disabled more times then I can count. DICE really destroyed the support class with this nerf.
Two AT-mines would be sufficient, one to disable and the second to destroy the tank. I can go to four to take out a SturmTiger.
I drive tanks aswell and those times I get blowed up from AT-mines it´s entirly my own fault not paying attention to my surroundings.
If it hadn´t been a prestige fight at DICE all of this BS could have been avoided. All they had to do was to have Hardcore in the game from get go.
Then all casual players could have all this spotting BS and all the other stuff they put in to the game...
Bring back HardCore!

Tanks were not feared in battlefield 4. 0:55. Need to point out that incorrect statement before someone gets upset. Though. Tanks aren’t as bad as planes. Planes in bf4 are useless. Battlefield always used to nerf aircraft

It is very weak compared to the previous titles so that's the reason. But people who are good with them can do a lot of damage.
@@AzuraProductions i'm not good with them and every time i get one for fun i got always 10-20 kill beforse someone try to damage me... the only tank i see balanced in a bf game are the bf1 tanks. in bf5 you sit 20 meters away from an enemy flag you scope and kill people. i don't see the skill in this tank... they should make projectile slower like in bf1, so is harder to kill at longer range
@@necrosinera8085 one problem bf5 tanks have is the fact that you can be very successful k/d wise if you sit back and camp. I don't really agree with that kind of play but if you make all projectile very slow, it does impact tank vs tank combat which does make it rather boring. So definitely a trade off there. Bf5 tanks were weak up close so camping became a problem.
@@AzuraProductions but good tankers always camp, clean up flag then take it. i saw very few tank vs tank combat they prefer to concentrate on soldiers is more easy to help your team capturing flags. somotimes in this game i feel obligated to play assault to deal with tanks. in bf1 i was picking up any class and didn't have problems with veicles ever sicnce i can can damage them with every class basically.

Because of dice wanting to move away from random kills using laid mines, laid and forget type gameplay.

That's why I think you should get 4 perhaps so you can put all of them down and blow it up. It shouldn't just do 30 damage

As an Infiantry player, I've never been more annoyed at having to deal with tanks than after 5.2
The nerfed AT Mines are just completely laughable and I really don't get why they were nerfed in the first place.
Tank v tank is definitely not entertaining me anymore
