this works exactly like the German Flak 88mm from WW2. It was designed for anti aircraft use but they soon found out that they could airburst the shells over allied infantry defenses with devastating effect.
I learned to love the 50 mm to use against ground vehicles, now with the AA pod, the wildcat regains it's spot in my use as Infantry Vengeance, death to vehicles
I love that gun. I had absolutely no idea that it was meant for air vehicles. I guess that's why the grenades go all crazy. I destroy infantry with that thing
Shhh dude its hard enough to spawn there as it is... I found the flak a few weeks back. If a Nightbird is flying straight at you and you hit the driver its a one shot.
cool. I'm keeping the mortal shells better. for air vehicles the first twin guns are more than enough. if there's someone on the second seat, i have the mini gun. by the time your twin gun is overheat that heli is down. then the lock missiles for ground vehicles. shot then with the twin gun on the tracks, when you see then slowing down then lock then with the missiles. they are done.
And of course, in EA style, the weapon is very sophisticated, had certain rules, and there is no detailed information provided on how to use it and how it works...
Why do i always get those kids in the gunner seats that only spam the guns into the air not even aiming at choppers or something. When im driving towards those sniper kids in the spawn jump in and spam the guns all the way tk the objective so im always spotted lol why isnt there an option where u can kick people out of rhe tank ur driving or vehicle at all
This video just pissed me off that they can’t seem to understand that the OVERPOWERED shield is disseminating energy at a CERTAIN ANGLE AND a CERTAIN distance. It’s almost as if stood a pipe up in flowing water. Nothing behind it would get wet but the pole will only cut off a certain angle of the water flow. That’s the same way these blast work
The vehicles should be buffed even better. Battlefield is about blowing up tanks and buildings. If you make them a priority enemy, it makes teaming up more satisfying and easier to cooperate if there is a major enemy boss to gather around
That makes no sense how that motor round actually has flak but yet the stock dual 30 mm guns that the wildcat comes with says it has flak rounds but you can shoot near an aircraft and it will not air burst like it's supposed to he have to get a direct hit to do any damage I'm surprised they still have not fixed that
What's your favorite main gun on it? I've noticed the 40MM is kinda useless, against Aircraft, Armor, and Anti Personal. .. 57MM isn't bad, but each shot is manually fired, still not great for anti vehicles... But kills soldiers faster. 20MM twin Bofors still seems best. Do you use the AA or AT missiles? And what's better in your opinion: STAFF Smart, or HEAT...
I'd agree with the 57mm, it's not the best for Infantry (small splash and rather slow RoF/reload) and it's lack of airburst and slow bullet speed make it no AA But, enemy tanks often underestimate the damage and rate of fire, and it just SHREDS light personal vehicles like the hovercraft and bolte, that alone justifies the wildcat for me, it's a revenge tankhunter
@@RY-ti3rx yes true but your going to be destroyed by tanks, I use the 57mm and AT just make sure your shots are direct hits on infantry don't spam your shots make them count. Tier 1 Wildcat operator.
I unlocked 60mm mortar in tanks, but everytime a teammate spawns in they never check what the other weapons are. You either need to tell them or get lucky. I always check vehicle weapons when i get in
I did use it on a chopper and thought it was fine, but I haven't tried on infantry yet. Also I think the MAV has it as an option so I assume it acts the same?
Yeah it’s pretty nice and does good splash damage against Infantry but is a bit tricky to aim since it acts like the grenade launcher but seems to have a little more distance

Erwin Rommel - The Desert Fox
The putilov French nights
The only downfall of it - is your team mates trolling you and taking your Wildcat while you are hunkered down destroying everything in sight.

Thanks for the vid. Was trying to figure out why the flak seems inconsistent after unlocking it.
I love that gun. I had absolutely no idea that it was meant for air vehicles. I guess that's why the grenades go all crazy. I destroy infantry with that thing
Well the tanks have something that looks the same, but it actually fired cansister shells. It's basically a giant shotgun that only damages infantry.
Measure, countermeasure. I love it! Always feel like I'm in a classroom watching your videos. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.

Great video, love these testing videos such as this. Thank you.
That aoe damage is insanely large.
Considering the 40mm needs multiple direct hit on infantry it's still balanced lol
And of course, in EA style, the weapon is very sophisticated, had certain rules, and there is no detailed information provided on how to use it and how it works...
These air burst ammunitions are so deadly. There’s this video on UA-cam where it shows modern air burst ammunition. Trench warfare is obsolete now
First things first rest in peace uncle Phil
Do you know if any of this had changed in the updates??? It seems like the reload is slower a little but idk. That air burst is seriously huge plays

Jesus it's like the MBT law from BF4 except it has unlimited ammo and is on a vehicle LMAO.
WHO WAS IN CHARGE OF THIS VEHICLE BALANCE???
Tried this today and its quite difficult to replicate in a normal game, borderline impossible if you are trying it solo.
Definitely quite hard to do it solo, probably better to sit in the driver seat.
This deserves a sub good content my guy top stuff
Did anyone else notice at 9:26 that the shield actually reflected the shot of you look closely
I use the mortar and the missile barrage. Any other better options for the missile barrage?
Awesome thanks for sharing.

Sad to see if this gets popular I see a nerf incoming. Exploding confetti along with 30-56mm nerf darts.

This is not the mortar round though, this is an actual flak round for AA
@@AzuraProductions but it's still a mortar but it fires flak rounds
cool discovery and testing! I think it needs a bit of balancing against infantry tho haha

Heat on tank because I just use it for infantry. Mpat is a better all round shell though.

You can win against a tank head on with a full mag of 57mm if you don't miss a shot.
Also, it oneshots infantry on direct hit.
Are you playing on PlayStation? I play on PC and 40mm is way better at killing infantries than the twin 30mm and 57mm

Against vehicles: very good -> pretty good

Yes i Back to 40mm and AT missile
you just cherry picking, in most fighting conditions it's not just possible to hold the spot eliminating enemies without return shots.

They needed splash damage on everything so I don't think it's possible to what your doing here
