Battlefield V is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access to the game on November 15, 2018, and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I based precursor Battlefield 1.
Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism. There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.
The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II. The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch. The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles". The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the popular Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. Everybody talking about how the fg 42 is trash but have you tried the s2-200 after the patch. Its like 13 damage on 20 meters
That's the problem with this patch, they said they wanted to balance weapons and they ended narrowing the meta even more by making weapons with small magazines useless due to the need to hit more bullets now, not to mention some weapons are now either pointless to use or eclipsed by other weapons. I mean, why would I pick the zk383 over the type 100 if the later is exactly the same but with even less recoil?
S2? Shit the LS/26 was my main I got best act and kills wit that lmg it’s complete shit now hell every support and most semi/rifle esp Karabiner assault gun sucks

Conquest is very fun, brings the sandbox back, bit strange that the Japanese get no spawn tho.

No resupply on Arras, I know that first hand. Kid jump out of a tank, got killed . Hoped in it thinking free tank . Now it's time to get some paybacks. No ammo at all, then no ammo supply to use to get ammo. That was a WTF Dice moment !
used to be a big problem on many breakthrough maps and the germans on hamada. Can remember having to drive to the other side of the map to resupply as the british had B flag. On the flip side german tanks camping on spawn ridge is now a big problem..
Why are the Americans attacking Wake Island... these devs have no knowledge of World War 2.
I honestly think Dice was to lazy to model Japanese landing craft, so they just took the easy way out.

Japaneses have defeated American army on this Island, then American came back in control. You don't have any knowledge. American attack make sens.

Early on in ww2 us took wake island, it was not Japanese territory, Japan took the island and then US took it back. It is still US territory today along with Puerto Rico.
I hope Dice let's us tweak more of the game's options and features with custom games, like switching spawn locations. That way I can host a lobby where the Americans are defending the island from the Japanese who deploy from the air, just like in our history. Being able to add the ships into the picture would be even more sweet; kinda like how they added the War Blimps in BF1.

They will keep slow ttk on "extreme ranges" which they think is beyond 15 meters, game stays a bad joke
@@geraldk.4247 yep they need to stop looking at metrics and start playing the game. kills might happen more sub 10m but the majority of targets engaged are around 30-100m depending on map

Changing to the slow fire mode does make the bullet faster in velecoty hope its spelled correctly
Like LevelCap said, I can’t wait to defend the beaches of Normandy as an American from the German onslaught. DICE should’ve waited until they got the correct assets to have the Japanese attacking.
The thing is, it is not a matter of time, they just don't want to spend the money and time to make it only for this map. As for Normandy, they won't do it because they will already have the asset. Dice isn't trying to flip this on purpose. Could they have done better? Yes sure, they are just cutting corners.

This map is so nice, can somebody make a custom server where he bans everything but walking? It is hard to look around with all those pesky enemies :D

Guys just imagine you are playing the ahistorical return of the US to Wake Island and everything is fine for me. There are a lot of other BF maps and facts which are not realy historical correct like using weapons of every other WWII nation. Until i like BF 5 Wake Island very much especially in Breakthrough Operations, even DICE should be relocate Flag F to use all available map space

9:54 gotta heal first. 'tis the only way so as not to interrupt the reload animation.
The problem is that it used to interrupt animation, now it doesn't visually so you think you actually completed your reload.

I have never tried an anti tank rifle. Anyone know right off what kinda damage it actually does to armor?
Not a ton, if you are able to land shots on medium tank's back it is actually not bad
Last I tried, it was doing a constant 7 damage to the Japanese Type 97 via turret hits with the Panzerbusche 37.

5-8rds of 30-06 to kill is absolutely unrealistic
Dice totally dropped the ball with the weapons damage rating. For example 2-3rds to kill someone with an anti aircraft gun. Horrible
It sounds like you play the game then do the audio, maybe it's the way you speak lol

Content is always appreciated. But the fake live commentary is cringe
A few people did say a few things about that so why don't I clear that up? It is actually a mix of live and added commentary. Some scenes have audio stretched to the next scene with the commentary cut out from the next scene. Some have added commentary to supplement the silence. So there you go. I am sure people don't want to watch an exciting scene but no one talking or someone taking but no action going on so these are all edited to stitch together all the pieces
