- After the February patch that buffed the Tiger somewhat, it has become a little more viable. It is far from the best tank available but we are here to do what we can with it. I will also briefly discuss the new Mosquito FB MkVI and how it it affects tanking.

Battlefield V is a first-person shooter video game developed by EA DICE and published by Electronic Arts. Battlefield V is the sixteenth installment in the Battlefield series. It was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on November 20, 2018. Those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of the game were granted early access to the game on November 15, 2018, and Origin Access Premium subscribers on PC received access to the game on November 9, 2018. The game is based on World War II and is a thematic continuation of its World War I based precursor Battlefield 1.
Battlefield V will focus extensively on party-based features and mechanics, scarcity of resources, and removing "abstractions" from game mechanics to increase realism. There will be an expanded focus on player customization through the new Company system, where players will be able to create multiple characters with various cosmetic and weapon options. Cosmetic items, and currency used to purchase others, will be earned by completing in-game objectives.
The game will feature several new multiplayer modes, including the "continuous" campaign mode "Tides of War", "Firestorm", and "Grand Operations". The Grand Operations mode is an expansion of the "Operations" mode introduced in Battlefield 1, which focuses on matches taking place across multiple stages to simulate a campaign from the war. In Grand Operations, each round will have specific objectives, and performance in each stage will influence the next. Games will culminate with a "Final Stand", with players using only a primary weapon with limited ammo, and no respawns. Similarly to Battlefield 1, the game will feature a collection of single-player "war stories" based on aspects of World War II. The game also features a cooperative mode not seen since Battlefield 3 called "Combined Arms", where four players can undertake missions together and features dynamic missions and objectives so missions cannot be played the same way each time. Combined Arms is scheduled to be released after launch. The Battle Royale mode will be built around the franchise's "core pillars of destruction, team play, and vehicles". The name "Firestorm" is derived from a literal storm of fire that engulfs players similar to the popular Battle Royale game mechanic of restricting the play area. Furthermore, this particular game mode is not being developed by EA DICE themselves, but has been outsourced to Criterion Games and features the biggest map created by the franchise to date. It is playable by 64 players, which are divided into up to 16 squads with a focus on team work.Firestorm is scheduled to be released in March 2019. - Wikipedia

What would you use other than the HEAT round? I just accepted I would always be weak in close to infantry and embraced my range restriction. If a vehicle has a unique spec option I normally prioritize it. I’m not the finest in vehicles, but HEAT sounds so much cooler than the alternatives
I would use the HEAT/AP rounds for more open maps. For close range maps if you always suffer from people running up to you and destroying your tank, then running the S mines may help!
What shell for the tiger does more damage to tanks the APCR round or the HEAT - T round

The tiger is in a much better place now than it was before. I've been using it since launch and now it finally feelsike a heavy tank. You can now face down valentines and win pretty handily shot for shot
Glad to see a competent tank driver on YT! In the right hands, the tiger can be an absolute monster.
The Tiger shines, by that I mean doesn't suck as much, in longer range shootout against other tanks. Otherwise I think the light/medium tanks are still the best all rounder. 😅
It wasn't good tank gameplay. Many mistakes. He should die couple times. More luck than skill.

Been using HEAT-T for a few weeks now. Absolutely brutal hits sometimes. I found it a bit hard to lose the objectively-better-than-alternatives ammo capacity & reinforced turret upgrades but I've come to love the HEAT-T for the sheer power and fear factor when you chunk a light/medium tank for as high as 76 damage in one shell.
I mean that's why I use a heavy tank, to blow shit up...

It's hard for me to decide between HEAT and the s-mine launcher, HEAT helps with anti tank but if people start piling up on your tank while it is disabled you are defenseless without the s-mine launcher.
Definitely situational, if you are in the open playing panzerstorm then the heat rounds will definitely be more useful. S mines will be useful if you play in more urban maps
I can agree on that, also ap/apcr rounds aren't that worth it right?
@@skavlad5245 The AP rounds will give you more ammo if you want the turret reinforcement upgrade.

Nice gameplay! How does the HEAT round differentiate itself from the amour piercing or normal tank rounds? Is it by damage, velocity, disabling capabilities? I’m interested to know if these are worth using over the other rounds that can be found in the specialisations on some vehicles :)
The HEAT round does the highest impact damage compared to the HE and the APCR rounds. It has the lowest velocity to compensate for that. Its blast radius is between the 2.
Ahh, that’s really useful! Thanks for the explanation! I think it would be really useful for us tank drivers to get a detailed explanation and comparison between the different choices of upgrades available, and how to properly use the specialisations in situations, such as ambushing or long ranged attacks. The descriptions ‘in-game’ don’t really seem to do them justice :/

Hey Azura, on the tank customisation theirs a button for Body customisation which is not available yet. Do you know what kind of things we’ll see on body customisation?
There are a few videos on early builds of the game that seem to have much more customized tanks than what we have now. I suspect it will look more like the last tiger skin than just the camo color.

I agree! I never saw anyone use the HEAT, so I always used AP. I found that HEAT is really deadly against lighter tanks at medium range, and AP is better for heavier tanks
It mostly has to do with the angle of attack and which part you are hitting. Check out my advanced tank guide and I discuss a little bit about that. The heat rounds still do more damage than the AP rounds against heavy tanks.
0:52 did you know:you can actually hit the enemy through the wall with any cannon on a tank(please don’t hate if you knew)
the only thing that can come close to this is the churchill wirh hesh shells and howitzer upgrade
I’m really struggling to play tanks, I think maybe I’m being to aggressive and pushing into enemies that counter me rather than staying at range.
I’ve still got a lot to learn
The most damage i got for the heat t rounds was a 96 damage on the side of the churchill where the hatch is near the back.
And I thought that the HEAT shell is not effective in damage than AP shell or HE shell against a light tank.

It's nice to see I'm not the only one who gets killed by planes.
Too bad it's not a choice between the rounds when you have the turret reinforcement upgrade. It would be nice to choose either of the two different rounds under the TRU. Be also nice after so many kills with a tank, they throw a bonus pick upgrade to a tanker.
That was nice to watch. I usually have less luck with the tanks, unless I'm in a fast one.
The light/medium tanks are definitely the way to go if you want the best tank experience in BF5
@@AzuraProductions True, I do find the Tiger and the Churchill fun to play, but the medium tanks, as well as the light ones and the recently added TD and SPGAT, are currently my favoured tanks.

That's the Last Tiger skin and you have to complete the last tiger mission and collect all the letters and so on, I was using the HEAT rounds specialization for it. I am going the AP round with the increase ammo capacity upgrade now (not in the video)
HEAT is definitely way better than APCR. APCR is kinda useless in this game. Yeah it always penetrates but it does basically no damage.
HEAT penetrates even better than the standard rounds, and it 2 shots Shermans from the front, and sometimes can 1 shot them from the side, but always 1 shot from the rear. It also 1 shots any other armored vehicle in the game.
3 years later and I’m wondering why my Tiger wouldn’t 2 shot the Sherman’s as they did me lol
i got 5 tank kills on panzer storm in the space of a minute with Heat T rounds
The thing I don’t like with this round is that you have to get up close to enemies

well i just destroyed 11 shermans and a few armored cars with that Setup and all that without dying
