Great video. I love your comment at the end about the lakes district fitting in to Rannoch a Moor. I am from the lake district which is where I was born and always lived, I also love Rannoch Moor, it is an amazing to think the lake district would fit in there!

Cheers Jenny, to be honest I think that's debatable. Who ever told me was having me on unless they meant the central mountains rather than the whole NP. However that doesn't detract from the vastness of Rannoch Moor, it is the biggest blanket bog in Britain.

I never eat dehydrated meals in the plastic bag. Always decant em into the pot. Even if the plastic is BPA free, there are still endocrine disrupting chemicals in plastic. General rule of thumb is to never have plastic in contact with any food or drink as heat accelerates leaching. That includes 'paper' cups coated with plastic 'wax'.

OMG! I love the Gossipmongers podcast! I blitzed every episode earlier in the year (often while driving to and from hikes). Honestly, there were times I was laughing so hard I had to pull over and stop driving.
Regarding wild camp peeing, I tend to need to go a few times in the night (often totalling over a litre a night), so if I were up and out of the tent each time
    a) in cold weather I'd never get warm
    b) I'd never get any sleep
    c) it'd just be a pain in the arse
...so I pee into a Nalgene 48oz/1.5L canteen pouch. It has a wide neck, it's lightweight, packs up small, and is easy to clean afterwards.
