    Stunning views of the aurora. Love my Altbergs, I have the Mallerstangs and fitted the Svartz footbeds, had them about 7years and covered quite a few miles in them. They are heavy, but bombproof. The Real Turmat meals are brilliant, expensive but in my opinion, one of the best dehydrated meals out there. I’m looking to visit Scotland later next year, hopefully get a camp on Suilven. Your videos are making me more determined to get up there for a camp. Keep up the good work.

    I'm getting the hump 😊😂. Awesome camp . I'm missing out! 😂😂😂. Loved it. Up in the lakes for a few days from tomorrow, but yet again, looking like the wrong weather for a camp. We shall see.....keep it up. Hope the recovery is going well

      Hey hey, you vlogging this time?
      Thank you for watching and glad u enjoyed :). Yeah recovery is going by plan so far, I'm now onto the odd 6 mile hike that's moderate every 2 weeks or so. No weight. So that's briliant. Hoping to cap an 8 mile hike soon with maybe a few munros come end Jan perhaps we will see :). Hopefully aim for March to maybe get a solo camp in for a lower down hill if all goes to plan aye x have a lovely New Year.

    8:03 can I ask , which liner do you use or recommend and what bag do you use for fair weather camps ? Thanks 🙏

    • @GoSummitSolo
      @GoSummitSolo  8 місяців тому

      Hey ill be honey with you, I havnt used the liner with the Rab for around a year now as I stopped using liners. But I deffinetly recomend using a liner if you do have at least a - 7 sleeping bag for winter then with liner it's fine. I wouldn't trust a bag that's designed for any less than that. The Rab 700 is brilliant for 4 seasons in my opinion too judt simply cuz tis kept me very warm with the liner included. And yeah I used my Rab 700 for fair weather camps without the liner as it is a 3 season bag.
      David uses an Alpkit Pipe Dream 400 for fair weather camps.
      In regards to the liner. It's in my garage back home at the momment and you will laugh but it's bloody brilliant, I got it as recommended off another mate of mine for only £15 on Amazon. It's bloody brilliant honestly. What a purchase.
      Ill have to go and check what it says it is when I'm back home.because I csnt remember 😅😳. It's better than any expensive ones I've used 😂. Very very light too. Just about 20cms to pack too.

      @craigy1872 8 місяців тому +1

      @@GoSummitSolo Thanks for all that information. I was actually looking at some liners by oex at go outdoors today. £35 which I thought seemed fair, when the same one from sea to summit is approx £50. I’m guessing they perform as well as each other, so might end up getting it. I’ve looked at the pipedream 400 but have read that they are short. Not sure how tall David is but I’m slightly nervous about ordering one.
      Thanks again for everything 👍
